Infinite Mana In The Apocalypse

Chapter 3729: Crucible I

The prophecy was something unfathomably grand.

Even as Ozymandias said it, the content made his mind buzz, as he could only fully understand, or guess, at a few of the lines in the prophecy.

And when the prophecy ended…

HUUUM!

Everything in the surroundings rumbled and roiled.

The Prime Frequency of the End became bathed entirely in death, and at that moment…

Ozymandias crossed the line between Life and Death.

That unique state faded.

And he began to feel his weavings of existence undergo a transformation of unfathomable wonders!

The pathways to the True Sources of Life and Death observe significant milestones and take their step to become True Sources.

…!

Prompts came and went.

But Ozymandias, Noah, could not stop thinking about the prophecy he had just uttered.

He sensed all the changes occurring, they were critical, yes, but that prophecy!

[When the Ninth Echo of the Wheel fractures, the Flame Between shall stir.]

The early point of the prophecy was one of the easier ones to analyze and understand.

The Ninth Echo of the Wheel, the fracturing, and the flame that stirs in between…should signal the moment when the Ninth Breaking of the Wheel of Existence occurs.

The ”Flame Between” should refer to Ozymandias entering the state between Life and Death, a transitional paradox that allowed the Absolute Infinitum Prophecy to manifest!

And then…

[A Favored born of paradox shall rise where even the Folds dare not dream, its shadow cast across broken time and Living flame.]

A Favored born of paradox.

This…should refer to the weavings of the Protagonist!

How Noah was able to influence external weavings of existence enough that others saw him as some True Favored Living Thing. His power disrupted many things, as those from the Hollow Concord of Nullity and the Chronosect of Threadbound Folds were pulled in.

These first lines of the prophecy were easy to analyze and understand, but the others could mean multiple things!

”One who sings with stolen notes…those neither bound by Life nor caged by Death…”

The mesmerizing voice of Ozymandias echoed out as he recited some scattered lines of the prophecy.

Lines that could have a variety of meanings.

But the latter lines spoke of something that was actually covered by indecipherable words.

It spoke of entities neither bound by life nor death.

And their weavings were so complex to understand that Noah was not even able to obtain their names or distinctions!

Entities that neither fit the definition of the Living nor the Dead.

Noahʼs weavings thought about them as he continued to bask in the wild weavings of death and decimation that began to spread all around.

The very concept of the End that represented this Prime Frequency was gradually being altered, as it gained an even grander quality of death.

And in the midst of all of this…

You have gained the designation of a Dead Thing.

Untethered from life, your weavings of Existence present with a gradual Absolute Undeniable Decay, your Purity of Existence constantly tainted and becoming more impure.

Untethered from life, your weavings of Existence will collapse if your Purity and Complexity are degraded to a certain extent.

Untethered from life, the rate of increasing your Complexity is much faster, as you are no longer bound by lifeʼs limitations, with your Weavings of Existence further amplified in the Nullvein Gravewake Folds.

Within Ozymandias, the weavings of a Dead Thing fully unfurled as he studied them while coming to a grand conclusion, his voice echoing out across the endless expanse of death.

”Dead wings of existence…clarity beyond breath, beyond blood. Life was a flicker, but this… this is structure unbound. Memory solidifies and scatters while potential multiplies. No hunger. No fear. Only a calling and connection to the Folds…enduring Complexity and a fight of Purity!”

HUUM!

A deeper connection to the Folds, greater Complexity, and a fight for Purity!

This was why any Dead Thing that was a Resplendent Monad with High Purity was terrifying, since they had overcome this detriment of Purity alongside their high Complexity.

It was also why many Dead Things could become Converged Architects with High Complexity, their rate of progression much faster!

Now, Noah would take this rate of progression…while keeping his unfathomable Purity for his other half that contained interminable purity.

This…was just the beginning!

Ozymandias basked in the weavings of death and learned more of what it meant to be a Dead Thing.

—

In the decaying Infinite Ravines…

”Haa…haa…fuck!”

A Converged Architect that was a half-shattered obsidian skull floated with tentacles of obsidian wings behind it, as it barely survived the rampage of the enraged second body of Primarch Eluriah.

It felt the overabundance of death now permeating all around as its body naturally began to absorb the surrounding deathly weavings.

As it did, it sensed the scattered Mawbearers who had already run into the Folds, and it followed, unaware that the vibrant weavings of death it was devouring…were filled with a silent will of a certain Great Usurper that permeated to fill its True Source!

Across the decimation of death.

In the Dead True Frequency of the Singed.

Flickering black flames came and went all around, as the figure of the Primarch Vaethrava, the Withering Sealroot, had transformed into a dark-skinned woman of pristine deathly beauty.

A bejeweled obsidian dress made of trillions of dead trees covered her as she spoke to Melodrass.

”Continue scouring this Dead Wheel of Existence. If anything leading to the Loom is here, we will fin—…!”

HUUM!

Primarch Vaethrava trembled in shock and horror immediately after, as she raised her head!

A moment after she finished speaking, far above them, the weavings of flickering black flames of death burst, above, a massive obsidian-gold eye instantly bloomed!

An eye…emanating dreadful Complexity as it looked around, eventually locking onto Primarch Vaethrava and showing annoyance.

Another false alarm…You, stop uttering the names of things you do not understand. I will let you off with a warning today so you can act as a warning to others.

…!

Stop uttering names of things it did not understand.

The name of…the Loom!

THAT!

Some beings inherently only referred to it as THAT.

Never directly saying the word, because sometimes, it might just draw the attention of beings others could not even imagine!

Primarch Vaethrava trembled and nodded as the eye above closed its obsidian pupil and disappeared.
