Abandoned Woman Busy Farming

Chapter 1383: Chapter 1385: Diao Mo and the New Concubine_1

Bai Ruozhu disguised everyone, and soon she became a sickly-looking, sallow-faced young man, while Xuan Jizi and his wife dressed as commoners, posing as her parents.

Jianqi and the others dressed as porters, coachmen, or farmers, and dispersed as they left the City.

Lin Lian gazed at Bai Ruozhu, dressed as her son, and was momentarily lost in thought. Xuan Jizi asked her a question and received no reply for a long time, only to realize that her eyes had turned red.

Xuan Jizi felt a jolt in his heart, bitterness and regret welling up inside. His wife had thought of their son. He was a father who had failed, unable to even protect his own child.

Seeing their low spirits, Bai Ruozhu instantly understood the reason. She felt some sympathy but managed to say with a smile, ”It’s really not right to make the elders look older. It’s my fault for being too old. If I were as young as Xiaosi, I’d be just the right age to be your son.”

Lin Lian looked at Bai Ruozhu in surprise: ”You mean...”

Bai Ruozhu nodded with a smile, ”Xiaosi has had a rough life. Having you cherish him is also his fortune. I think Xiaosi would have wanted it.”

The ones Xiaosi was naturally most attached to were the Bai Family and Bai Ruozhu. During the hardest times of his pain, it was Bai Ruozhu who pulled him out of the darkness, it was the Bai Family that took him in, looked after him, fed him, clothed him, sent him to learn to read and write, and even encouraged him to do what he liked.

So, when Bai Ruozhu was in danger, despite his tiny frame, he fearlessly charged forward, fighting desperately against the villains.

But the situation with his master and mistress also distressed him greatly. After spending days together, Xuan Jizi and Lin Lian had long since started treating Xiaosi as their own child. And Xiaosi too had the desire to fill the void in his master and mistress’s hearts, but he dared not speak up to Bai Ruozhu, as if by mentioning it he would become a traitor to the Bai Family.

Bai Ruozhu had already noticed Xiaosi’s thoughts, but because of the tight schedule, there had been no time to discuss the matter. She had always wanted to find an opportunity to talk with Xuan Jizi and his wife. Xiaosi could be their child, and at the same time, the Bai Family would still be his kin, and he would still have the title of the Third Young Master of the Bai Family.

Xuan Jizi and Lin Lian were both surprised and grateful. Lin Lian couldn’t help but cry, grabbing Bai Ruozhu’s hand and saying, ”Ruozhu, thank you.”

Bai Ruozhu made a shushing gesture, smiled, and said, ”I’m now called Lin Zhu. Let’s not talk about this now; I’ll discuss it with my family when we get back to the Capital.”

Lin Lian quickly held back her tears but still asked worriedly, ”Will your parents be unhappy?”

”Xiaosi is a grateful child. If he is willing to recognize you as his parents and be filial to you in the future, my parents would be more than happy. They also hope Xiaosi has you to cherish him,” said Bai Ruozhu.

Relieved, Lin Lian and Xuan Jizi’s eyes filled with excitement. With Xiaosi as their son, they would not be lonely in the future, and they would have a descendent to care for them in their old age.

The three of them made their way to the street and successfully left the City. They soon rendezvoused with Jianqi and the others. Bai Ruozhu ordered everyone to cover their faces, and they set off towards the place where Lady Diao Mo and Jin Wanliang were recuperating.

The place was a small thatched cottage arranged by Ao Qi, with a few Holy Guards keeping watch nearby, but not many.

They hid near the cottage, but noticing the lack of any Holy Guards nearby, Bai Ruozhu couldn’t help but be suspicious. Was it a trap set by the enemy, or had Lady Diao Mo already fled?

Thinking this, she told everyone to hold their positions and observe before acting.

Soon, a woman with a dusty and earthy face came out of the cottage. She was covering her mouth and nose with great effort, but from her figure, it was clear that she was Lady Diao Mo, who had been sent there.

”I’m stuck here waiting on you, a useless wretch, and you spend all day cursing and swearing. Who do you think you are? Why don’t you just die early and save me the trouble!” Lady Diao Mo started yelling as soon as she left the cottage. Her voice was not small, and she no longer cared about her image as she had in the Holy Hall.

From inside the hut, Jin Wanliang’s frenzied roar could be heard, ”Get out, get the hell out!”

Lady Diao Mo coldly snorted, ”You think I want to stay here? You make me sick to my stomach!”

At that moment, a middle-aged man dressed as a Holy Guard came over and wrapped his arms around Diao Mo’s waist, saying, ”My darling, why are you getting so worked up? It’s not worth getting angry over a worthless man. Come on, cheer up. I sent everyone below to hunt for game, so we can have a good time too.”

Diao Mo glanced at the thatched cottage with a hint of discomfort, ”Let’s go to Back Mountain to avoid his ridiculous ranting and raving.”

The Holy Guard laughed lewdly, ”Since he’s asking for it, wouldn’t it be better to make him die of fury while we enjoy ourselves? Besides, it’s more thrilling this way.”

Bai Ruozhu was about to vomit when she heard this. Diao Mo had been here appeasing other men too, truly as Princess Yingtong said: promiscuous and vile.

Jin Wanliang, still inside the hut, overheard the words of the Holy Guard and roared in rage, but it could be heard that his illness had worsened, and his speech was becoming less clear.

Bai Ruozhu knew that this meant his tongue was rotting away, and gradually, it would spread to his internal organs, and eventually, Jin Wanliang would slowly succumb.

For someone like Jin Wanliang, he couldn’t be allowed to die too easily.

”Jin Wanliang’s cuckoldry is so blatant it serves him right!” Muyu whispered.

Jiang Yichun took Chen Feng back to the royal palace and left Muyu, the jester, to be at Bai Ruozhu’s beck and call.

Those two had already started to undress each other, spouting disgustingly teasing words, obviously to torment Jin Wanliang further.

Bai Ruozhu felt her stomach turning and gestured to the others, ”Change of plans, once they’re both naked, let’s tie them up together, and then deliver them to the entrance of the Holy Hall.”

Lin Lian felt somewhat embarrassed and couldn’t help but turn his face away, while Muyu thought the lady had no idea about blushing, but this time, he was smart enough not to ask outright.

Soon the two of them were nearly naked, and Jianqi and Muyu rushed out. Jianqi quickly sealed the Holy Guard’s acupuncture points, and as for the naked Lady Diao Mo, Muyu took care of her.

Muyu sealed Diao Mo’s acupoint and rubbed his hands vigorously on her body as if his fingertips had touched something filthy.

”What are you doing? We are people of the Holy Hall, you’ll wish you hadn’t touched us if you want to live!” the Holy Guard shouted.

Lady Diao Mo, seeing Bai Ruozhu’s masked face, cried out in terror, ”You’re Lin Zhu, I recognize your eyes, what are you going to do? Let me go right now!”

Bai Ruozhu pulled down her mask, ”Nothing much, just thought you’d enjoy a more joyous and carefree time with your lover.” She then gave Muyu a significant look, and he immediately took out a rope, binding the two naked people together.

Since the two were facing each other, Muyu tightened the binds, pressing their bodies even closer together.

Bai Ruozhu pointed to a horse tied up nearby, ”Tie the other end of the rope to the saddle, and let the horse take them where they ought to go.”

Both were pale with fright, and the Holy Guard yelled, ”You’re framing us, nobody at the Holy Hall will believe this.”
