Abandoned Woman Busy Farming

Chapter 561: Chapter 563: Blood Drifting, Death-Defying Xiaosi

It turned out that in Li Yi’s mind, the Ghost-Drawn Talisman Bai Ruozhu had was actually a Godspeed Amulet.

”Moreover, you’ve already poisoned us, so I can’t trust you at all!” The malevolence flashing in Li Yi’s eyes made Bai Ruozhu feel as if she were being stared down by a venomous snake.

She couldn’t help but shiver, and this time Li Yi noticed it immediately, and he wasn’t even poisoned!

”Damn woman, playing tricks, I’ll kill your mother!” The man who held Lin Ping’er yelled, raising his gleaming dagger dep.

”No!” Bai Ruozhu screamed in terror, she didn’t care about anything else, even if it meant dying, she couldn’t let her mother be hurt.

She rushed over to shield her mother with her body, glaring at the man and saying, ”If you want to kill, kill me, but don’t harm my family!”

The sneer on Li Yi’s face suddenly faded. He looked at Bai Ruozhu as if he had suddenly calmed down, then said to his subordinates, ”Right, don’t harm the innocent. Don’t be reckless.”

”Master, but we’re already poisoned.” One of his subordinates said, clutching his chest and coughing twice.

Li Yi looked at Bai Ruozhu, ”If you want me to spare your mother, cure them.”

Seeing Li Yi and his men stop, Bai Ruozhu heaved a sigh of relief, her body softened and almost collapsed to the ground.

Fear and worry filled Lin Ping’er’s eyes. With her mouth covered, all she could do was whimper, but Bai Ruozhu understood the message in her eyes: My darling girl, never mind me, just get away!

Because of Bai Ruozhu’s shout, everyone in the yard woke up, rushing out from their rooms one after another. They were all stunned by the scene before them.

Bai Zepei, dressed only in an outer garment, had a dark glint in his eyes.

”Who are you? What do you want?” Bai Yihong shouted, getting ready to rush over.

Bai Ruozhu called out in alarm, ”Father, stay back, don’t move, keep your distance!”

Bai Yihong barely took two steps forward before being stopped by Bai Ruozhu’s shout, he looked at the knife held against Lin Ping’er’s throat and dared not make any hasty movements.

The other people in the yard were too frightened to breathe, worried that any wrong move would provoke the villains, putting Bai Ruozhu and her mother in danger.

Bai Ruozhu turned to Li Yi, a resolute expression on her face: ”I will cure your men, then you release my mother. If you’re afraid I’ll run, go ahead and break my hands and feet.”

”Ruozhu!” Bai Zepei, who had been holding his breath the entire time, let out an exclamation. How could she be so cruel to herself?

Even Bai Yihong had tears in his eyes, he stared at Li Yi with hate. He hated himself for not knowing martial arts, for not being able to save his wife and daughter from these men.

Li Yi couldn’t help but smile at Bai Ruozhu’s words, ”Do you really think I wouldn’t dare break your hands and feet?”

Bai Ruozhu lifted her hand, ”I’ve already cured them. They should be fine soon. You can break my hands and feet now, but I hope that a noble prince like you will keep his word.”

Li Yi narrowed his eyes slightly and suddenly made his move. Everyone in the courtyard screamed in terror. Li Yi was attacking Bai Ruozhu!

Lin Ping’er bit the hand covering her mouth hard and shouted, ”No!”

A moment later Bai Ruozhu was immobile, but everyone in the yard breathed a sigh of relief because Li Yi hadn’t broken Bai Ruozhu’s hands or feet. He had only touched her a few times and she was rendered motionless.

Now, only Bai Ruozhu’s eyes and mouth could move. She looked at Li Yi with some surprise, thinking that she might still be of use to him.

”Release my mother, you said it yourself, not to harm my family. If you let my family go today, I promise I will spare you once in the future,” Bai Ruozhu said, taking a breath.

Li Yi suddenly burst out laughing, his three subordinates joined him, as if they had just heard the funniest joke.

”Do you think I’ll end up in your hands? Don’t forget, your only option is to run.” A storm was brewing in Li Yi’s eyes, he remembered how easily Bai Ruozhu had felled him when she ran away before, as if she really could take his life. The feeling made him quite uncomfortable.

Bai Ruozhu didn’t bother arguing with them, she turned to her second brother and said, ”Look after the family, Zepei. Don’t come after me. I don’t want anything to happen to any of you, otherwise, I’ll have no choice but to kill myself to apologise.”

The women in the courtyard started to cry, the men’s eyes turned red with anger they couldn’t vent. Faced with these villains, they felt utterly helpless.

Just then, a small figure quietly snuck up behind the four men. In the moonlight, his face was so cold it seemed to be covered with a layer of frost, and there was even a murderous intent in his eyes.

The moonlight found his arm, a thin arm with a wrist that seemed could be snapped with a gentle twist. Yet it was this slender arm that was holding a large kitchen knife, making his small frame seem even more fragile.

If Bai Ruozhu could see this direction, she would be surprised that Xiaosi was like a cheetah ready to pounce. He moved closer, bit by bit, then suddenly lifted his hand, striking out with the kitchen knife towards the man nearest him.

”Aaaah...” The man screamed. They were all bodyguards who had faced life and death with Li Yi and naturally weren’t afraid of a minor injury. But the surprise attack had caught them off guard, what was more surprising was that the person who hurt him was a child who looked to be only six or seven years old!

With one swing of Xiaosi’s knife, the man’s leg was injured and blood splattered, staining Xiaosi all over. His pale little face seemed to bloom like red plum blossoms in the night that should have been full of celebration but was now tainted with the flowers of death.

Even after landing the blow, Xiaosi didn’t even blink. He wildly swung his thin arm, he would not, absolutely not allow anyone to hurt his sister, his most beloved sister!

”Damn brat, where did this mad child come from!” The man who got struck was no ordinary man, being ambushed once he wouldn’t just stand there and take it. He stepped away, murder gleaming in his eyes.

This child didn’t look like a six or seven year old at all. If not for him being too short to reach his neck, he might already be in serious trouble. The subordinate’s chest filled with rage and he kicked out at Xiaosi.

With that one kick imbued with inner strength, Xiaosi flew out like a kite with a broken string, not stopping until he slammed into the wall behind him, where he collapsed heavily onto the floor.

But...but...he still held a firm grip on the kitchen knife in his hand, not letting go!

He abruptly spat out a mouthful of fresh blood, that landed in an area that was visible to Bai Ruozhu, and she screamed, ”Xiaosi, don’t move, silly boy, stop moving!” By the end, she was sobbing.

It wasn’t the first time. Once, when she was heavily pregnant in the old mansion and was pushed down by the third brother, Xiaosi had risked his tiny, weak body to fight the third brother. But that was just the third brother, now, he was wielding a kitchen knife, risking his life against ruthless killers, all to save her, his useless sister!

Bai Ruozhu cried out loud, her tears blurring everything in front of her, but the bright red blood at the corner of Xiaosi’s mouth was so vivid...
