Abandoned Woman Busy Farming

Chapter 533: Chapter 535: The Pursuers Arrive, Burning with Fury

Jiang Yichun’s body shivered violently, then he tightly embraced Bai Ruozhu.

His heart, already tormented, was set into turmoil by her words, her initiative to kiss him, and he could no longer control himself. All he wanted was to merge her deeply into his being.

For her, he must survive. No matter what means he had to employ, he must return alive! He silently vowed to himself that he would have a child with her, to watch their child grow up alongside Dengdeng, to live happily together as a family. He vowed that he would indeed return alive!

Bai Ruozhu couldn’t help her light whimper. It was a sensation she had never felt before - a distinct pain, yet incredibly pleasurable, causing her body to involuntarily shudder slightly.

He slowly undid her clothes, one kiss after another falling on her snow-like skin. His tongue easily found her most sensitive spot, teasing and playing with it.

Although Bai Ruozhu had already given birth to a child, she had never been this intimate with a man before. Dengdeng’s conception was by her previous self, so psychologically, she was still a virgin. This made her body incredibly sensitive, her strength quickly melting away.

But he forcibly suppressed his desires. This was their first time, and he couldn’t provide her a romantic and warm environment - a thought that filled him with guilt. How could he ruin her beautiful memory in his impatience?

However, in the midst of their passion, they heard footsteps in the secret chamber above. Their bodies froze simultaneously, and Bai Ruozhu’s exposed skin was struck by the cold air, causing her to shiver and goosebumps to rise across her skin.

Jiang Yichun’s eyes had turned blood red. He pulled her clothes up and gritted his teeth, saying, ”They have found us. We have to leave immediately.”

The flame within both of them had been ignited, but they had to quench it abruptly; a situation neither of them relished. Bai Ruozhu’s legs were so weak that she could barely walk, and it was only when Jiang Yichun scooped her up, holding her tightly in his embrace, and dashed deeper into the secret chamber, that they could escape.

At the moment, Jiang Yichun wished he could kill all those who dared to pursue them, but his abilities were restricted, and he was with Bai Ruozhu, who had not mastered martial arts. He could not take unnecessary risks. All he could do was take a few deep breaths to suppress his anger. However, he soon tasted a metallic sweetness in his mouth, his suppressed rage weighing heavily on him, causing his internal injuries to worsen.

Bai Ruozhu was also gritting her teeth so hard they were almost creaking. She thought to herself, ’I’ve lived through two lifetimes and been a virgin for over twenty years. I had a child without ever being in love, which was frustrating enough. Now I’ve found someone I like, and we’re finally about to do it, but you rascals had to come and ruin everything. I really want to poison all of you!’

The two people didn’t speak to each other on their way. On the one hand, it was inconvenient to talk while trying to escape; on the other hand, both of them were brooding and fantasizing about killing.

However, Bai Ruozhu should be relieved. Thankfully, the pursuers had not arrived halfway through. Otherwise, both she and Jiang Yichun might have had a serious mental breakdown.

The two of them quickly left the secret chamber, turning into a secret passage. Upon entering the secret passage, Jiang Yichun quickly pressed something on the wall, opening a secret door and creating a second passage.

Jiang Yichun chose the original passage, making it obvious that the newly opened passage was meant to mislead pursuers.

She thought to herself, ’Why didn’t we go into the second passage and then close the door?’ But she quickly shook her head - if the pursuers could find this place, they probably knew about the second passage too.

The pair sped ahead quickly, and soon, Bai Ruozhu could hear Jiang Yichun panting. A pang of pain swept through her heart; he was injured internally, and carrying her must be taking its toll. She was still his burden after all.

”Are you okay?” Bai Ruozhu asked in a low voice.

”I’m okay. Once we’re outside, we’re at Xuantian Mountain. Then we can temporarily hide in the mountains,” he replied, breathing heavily, his voice becoming somewhat fragmented.

”I’m too heavy, I’m slowing you down,” Bai Ruozhu admitted guiltily.

Jiang Yichun let out a low laugh, ”You’re not heavy. Besides, can’t I carry you like this?”

Bai Ruozhu’s face flushed scarlet instantly. ’How could he say such a thing?! We’re on the run, and he’s saying this to tease me.’ She glared at him, and the guilt that had just risen in her heart gradually dissipated.

Jiang Yichun tightened his grip on her, quickening his pace. Not long after, they rushed out of the secret passage and hid in Xuantian Mountain.

The pursuers didn’t manage to catch them, nor were they even able to catch a glimpse of their shadows. However, some people inferred that there was another woman with Jiang Yichun or perhaps a child, based on footprints on the ground and a faint scent of milk in the air.

By now, dawn was breaking. The two found a cave to hide in the mountain.

The whole ordeal had completely exhausted them. Jiang Yichun, especially, spat out a mouthful of blood soon after they stopped. Bai Ruozhu checked his pulse anxiously, only to discover that the poison inside him had peculiar symptoms and that his internal injuries were quite serious.

”I’m fine, just having a short rest will suffice. You didn’t sleep well all night. Rest first,” Jiang Yichun said.

Bai Ruozhu heeded his words and didn’t dare disturb him. She sat against the cave wall, silently watching him meditate. But the fatigue of the past few days, coupled with a sleepless night and one incident after another, both thrilling and frightening, made her eyelids heavy. Soon, she fell asleep.

Following his meditation, Jiang Yichun opened his eyes to find Bai Ruozhu fast asleep. Dark circles had formed under her eyes, and the makeup used for her disguise was mostly rubbed off, but some still remained. Seeing her face marked with blotches of colour made him feel dejected.

The sight tugged at his heartstrings. His woman, who had left everything behind and come here, risking dangers at every turn. How far she had come just to be with him, even devising the plan of playing the ”doctor” to draw his attention! He didn’t know whether to feel proud or helpless about her deep love for him. Such devotion surely warranted reciprocation with a lifetime of sincerity.

He sat next to her, letting her rest her head on his shoulder, then closed his eyes to doze off. However, he dared not fall into a deep sleep as he didn’t know if the pursuers would find this place. They needed to plan carefully to escape danger.

I recommend checking out another of Mouka’s stories, ’The Poison Doctor of the Elite’. It is also a historical romance, but it is more focused on domestic disputes. If you have some spare time, why not give it a read?

Summary: A modern military doctor transmigrated as the Princess of a ruined kingdom. People bullied and disgraced her in the past. Now, it’s time for the others to be beaten. She cultivated a garden full of poisonous plants, reared a yard filled with poisonous snakes, and centipedes. Let’s see who dares to offend her! A doctor, supposed to save people from injury, can also ’save people to death’ and ’help people to get injured’. Respect is usually mutual! Hence, if poison is coming, poison can also go!
