Abandoned Woman Busy Farming

Chapter 502: Chapter 504, The Amazing Pure White Mysterious Jade Cream

Once Bai Ruozhu had finished feeding Dengdeng, who had fallen back asleep, she set him aside and headed to the pond for a thorough wash. She returned to her room, dried her face with a cloth, and stared at her reflection in the mirror. Although her acne had not completely disappeared, the pimples had started to surface and would clear up soon. Even her formerly dirty pores were clean now, and her face felt smooth, almost like a peeled egg.

The results almost made Bai Ruozhu jump for joy. She had been planning to open a Women’s Leisure Club, and the miraculous properties of the pond mud seemed like an added bonus. This place was sure to be a hit.

However, it wasn’t the right time yet. She needed to establish some connections within Beiyu City’s celebrity and noblewomen circles first. Moreover, the transformation of the Hot Spring Mansion required time.

Just the thought of the Hot Spring Mansion made Bai Ruozhu feel deflated again. Her renovation plans had been affected by the presence of other women. Ultimately, she decided to wait until Jiang Yichun returned to clarify things before proceeding with the renovations.

The next morning, Wan Caiyue noticed Bai Ruozhu’s vibrant aura and couldn’t help but comment, ”Little sister, you look incredibly glowing today, and your skin has improved so much.”

Fang Guizhi heard this and reached over to touch Bai Ruozhu’s face, then her own, inwardly surprised: hadn’t Ruozhu skipped her hot spring bath yesterday? How did her skin become so good, even better than hers?

Seeing Fang Guizhi’s expression, Bai Ruozhu couldn’t suppress her smile. Taking hold of her sister-in-law and Guizhi’s hands, she said, ”Let’s have breakfast. Afterward, I’ll give you both a beauty treatment, guaranteed to make you look stunning.”

Stunning? Both Wan Caiyue and Fang Guizhi were a bit confused, but seeing Bai Ruozhu’s confident demeanor, they swallowed their curiosity, guessing they’d soon find out what she meant after breakfast.

After eating, Bai Ruozhu instructed them to wash their faces. Even if they had washed in the morning, they should rinse their faces again with clean water. Then she brought them to her room and began a skincare treatment.

She applied a layer of black mud from the bottom of the pond, instructing, ”You can’t move or talk. Just like this, lie down, and you’ll realize its effects soon.”

Fang Guizhi touched her face and the black mud that ended on her fingertips, curiously asking, ”What’s this black stuff?”

Bai Ruozhu gave her a pointed look, saying, ”Speaking is prohibited or else it won’t work.”

Fang Guizhi promptly closed her mouth, although her eyes still revealed curiosity.

”This is a Whitening Mysterious Jade Cream I have developed. It can clean the blackheads on your face and make your skin whiter and smoother. Earlier, didn’t you admire my smooth skin? I used this last night,” Bai Ruozhu cheerfully explained.

Finally tamed into silence by the efficacy of this marvelous product, both Wan Caiyue and Fang Guizhi were intently focused. After all, who wouldn’t want to become more beautiful?

After a while, when it seemed the mud had stayed long enough, Bai Ruozhu told them to rinse off their faces. They walked outside, only to bump into Zhang Liliang and Bai Zehao, who were leaving to collect supplies.

”Oh, goodness, what happened to your faces?” Zhang Liliang exclaimed, noticing the mud on their faces—a sight as shocking in daylight as it would have been ghostly at night.

Bai Zehao too, jumped in surprise, wondering what his wife and sister-in-law were up to. Seeing her husband’s reaction, Wan Caiyue blushed and immediately hid behind Bai Ruozhu.

Fang Guizhi felt embarrassed too and quickly hid behind Wan Caiyue. This chicken-and-hawk formation amused Lin Ping’er, who had heard the commotion from the Main Hall and stepped out only to burst into laughter.

”This is my Whitening Mysterious Jade Cream. You’ll know its effects when you see their face after washing. I’m sure we can make serious money with this,” Bai Ruozhu said with a smile to Zhang Liliang and her brother.

Seeing that the women had a skincare ritual in progress, Zhang Liliang and Bai Zehao decided to stick around and see how the Whitening Mysterious Jade Cream worked.

Fusa, overhearing the commotion, wanted to see as well, but she had to open the shop. As she and Lin Laifu left, she told Bai Ruozhu, ”Ruozhu, make sure you use it on me. Let me experience the magic.”

”Of course. All women can use it. Even men can use it if they care about their looks,” Bai Ruozhu cheerfully replied.

In no time, Fang Guizhi and Wan Caiyue had washed off the dry mud from their faces – or rather, the Whitening Mysterious Jade Cream. Bai Ruozhu didn’t want anyone knowing it was actually just mud from her pond.

Touching her face, Fang Guizhi exclaimed in surprise, ”It really does feel smoother!”

Wan Caiyue quickly followed suit, her eyes lighting up in astonishment. Unable to see her face, she turned to look at Fang Guizhi’s face, and couldn’t help but say, ”Guizhi, your face looks so clean and seems a bit whiter too.”

The spectacle drew in Zhang Liliang, Bai Zehao, and Lin Ping’er, who had been curiously awaiting the result. After inspecting both women, they agreed: the change was indeed remarkable!

The change was none more evident than to Bai Zehao as he had caressed his wife’s face that very morning. Seeing her face now brighter and clearer, his heart swelled with joy. Overcome with happiness, Bai Zehao reached out to touch Wan Caiyue’s face again, exclaiming, ”It’s definitely smoother.”

Blushing up to her neck, Wan Caiyue shot Bai Zehao a reproachful glance, saying, ”I’m going to check on Dengdeng.” With that, she withdrew and darted back to Bai Ruozhu’s room.

Bai Ruozhu was as merry as ever, amused by her brother’s audacity to flirt with his wife in public. He was indeed quite a character.

Bai Zehao’s face turned red too. In his moment of joy, he had forgotten himself. Now, he was left to deal with his sister’s teasing.

Lin Ping’er covered her mouth, trying not to giggle out loud. Seeing all this made her wonder whether Wan Caiyue could become pregnant after the New Year. The thought sent her humming a cheerful tune as she went to keep Caiyue company.

Zhang Liliang, not wanting to openly laugh at Bai Zehao’s expense, held in a laugh and asked Bai Ruozhu, ”Ruozhu, this Whitening Mysterious Jade Cream you’ve made is incredible. If you put it out on the market, it will sell like hotcakes. How do you plan to sell it? Will you partner with the Du Family again?”

Bai Ruozhu shook her head, ”I won’t be partnering with the Du Family for anything else. Making this Whitening Mysterious Jade Cream is troublesome, so I have no plans to sell it.”

”What?” Zhang Liliang exclaimed, clearly surprised. This excellent product could rake in heaps of silver. It would be such a pity not to sell it!

Bai Ruozhu understood his thoughts. Smiling, she said, ”Uncle Zhang, don’t worry. After the New Year, I plan to open a place which celebrities and noblewomen frequent. As this cream is rare, we can use it exclusively at the shop and charge customers for it. I assure you we’ll make a fortune.”

Hearing that Bai Ruozhu already had plans, Zhang Liliang immediately relaxed. Smiling, he said, ”I was hasty. Just tell me if you need any preparations.”

”That’s not urgent now. The key is to send the fresh soup powder to Old Shen as soon as possible; otherwise, he might come asking,” Bai Ruozhu laughingly said.

Hearing this, Zhang Liliang and Bai Zehao quickly headed out. If the supply pickup went well, they could distribute the next batch of fresh soup powder by tomorrow.
