Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

The door opened. He lowered his gaze and saw the portable device in Ye Jian’s hand. The smile in his deep eyes deepened.

It seemed that she was doing the same job as him tonight.

Ye Jian was stunned by his speed of opening the door. ”You’re not asleep? Are you busy?”

”I wasn’t sleeping. I just came up with the male soldiers’ training plan.” Xia Jinyuan turned his body and invited her in.

Ye Jian, who was wearing a sports short-sleeved shirt and shorts, walked in. She didn’t realize that the man who closed the door behind her had already glanced at her slender and straight legs.

”I came up with the female soldiers’ training plan. I want you to take a look and see if there are any areas that need to be modified or if there’s anything wrong.” As she spoke, Ye Jian saw the portable computer on the desk that had not been turned off. She smiled gently and turned to look at Xia Jinyuan. ”Are you also refining the male soldiers’ training plan?”

Xia Jinyuan closed the door and locked it. He smiled and nodded. ”We only have half a year. We need to hurry.”

Seeing that Ye Jian had carried over an empty glass, Xia Jinyuan picked up the hot water bottle in the corner and poured water into his glass.

Amidst the sound of water splashing, Xia Jinyuan’s eyes darkened when he saw her sitting on his single bed.

His little fox was really… unguarded even though they were alone in the middle of the night.

Beside the single seat was the desk. Ye Jian naturally chose to sit on the bed instead of the empty chair in front of the desk.

If she needed to change the content of the training later, she would definitely have to sit on a chair and do it.

That was all Ye Jian thought.

Xia Jinyuan placed the steaming cup in front of the desk and pushed it in front of Ye Jian. He looked at Ye Jian gently. ”Did you encounter any difficulties or uncertainties during the drafting process? Did you make any modifications?”

He was standing and she was sitting. Ye Jian could only raise her head and reply, ”No, I observed their performance in the afternoon. At that time, I already had a plan in my heart. When I wrote it down at night, I just sorted it out a little. I didn’t have to make multiple revisions.”

The range of the table lamp was limited. She could only vaguely see his face. Even so, she could still feel his blurry face staring at her with a burning gaze. His eyes were filled with love for her.

Ye Jian, who came with the intention of seeking help, suddenly felt a little unnatural. Her facial expression wasn’t as casual as before. She even looked at him evasively.

Why did she feel like… a sheep entering a tiger’s den?

A strange feeling flashed past her heart. The next moment, a warm and strong hand held her chin. Ye Jian, who was already a little flustered, leaned back instinctively.

She forgot that she was sitting on the bed. As she leaned back, she fell onto the bed naturally.

Realizing that her actions were wrong, she heard a low and pleasant laughter before she could correct them.

”You want to lie on my bed? Are you sure?”

He smiled and asked. Ye Jian’s face turned red.

She replied in a panic, ”What do you mean by lying on your bed? It’s all because you scared me.”

”When?”

The man still held her chin with his fingers and rubbed his thumb gently. ”You came to look for me in the middle of the night just to ask about training. Didn’t you have other thoughts?”

Ye Jian was speechless. ”What other thoughts could I have? Didn’t you say that I could look for you anytime if I had any difficulties?”

”At any time doesn’t include the middle of the night. Do you know that men’s bodies are usually the most relaxed in the middle of the night? Once an old boy like me relaxes, I can’t help but think about love. You chose the wrong time.”
