Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

The morning light slightly shone through. The forest was still pitch-black. Xia Jinyuan and Luke, who had crossed the boundary of the two countries ten minutes ago, collapsed on the soft withered leaves. The two of them panted heavily, their chests heaving up and down. Neither of them wanted to speak. They took deep breaths to calm themselves down.

Xia Jinyuan, who was sniffing the rotten smell of the trees, glanced sideways. His gaze landed in the direction of China. The scenery there was charming. The mountains were like angry dragons meandering. It was so beautiful and majestic…

Xia Jinyuan looked in front of him and smiled.

He didn’t expect that one day, he would have to escape from his country in such a sorry state. He had to admit that the border defense armed police officers from China were very strong. They chased after him relentlessly without stopping. His comrades were like search dogs. No wonder they had become a thorn in the side of those international drug dealers.

If he and Luke were a little slower, the other party would have caught up to them.

Until now, he could still hear their barks. It was really scary.

The smile on Xia Jinyuan’s face got deeper. Although he was almost caught by the Chinese border defense armed police officers a few times, he was still very happy.

He was happy for his country’s border defense.

Xia Jinyuan retracted his reluctant gaze. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. His mind was filled with the country’s beautiful landscape. He could still feel the sense of security in his country.

The Chinese border defense armed police officers stood in front of the boundary of the two countries and looked at the footprints on both sides. They held the steel guns in their hands tightly. They had let the other party escape!

The search dogs didn’t give up. They barked toward the borders of Myanmar. The officers in charge of taking care of them pulled the ropes tightly and dragged their loyal ’comrades’ who refused to come back bit by bit. The dogs’ forelimbs were stretched straight.

”Line up!”

The squad leader gritted his teeth and ordered his comrades to gather and return the way they came.

The soldiers with solemn facial expressions looked deeply into the territory of Myanmar again. They left while feeling regretful that they didn’t manage to catch the two transnational ’drug dealers’.

They couldn’t enter other countries’ territory, and they couldn’t enter other countries’ territory illegally with weapons. No matter how ferocious the search dogs were, they could only leave.

The barking from the mountain gradually disappeared. Luke, who was worried that the Chinese border defense armed police officers would enter the country with guns, finally relaxed completely. Xia Jinyuan could clearly hear him heaving a sigh of relief.

After resting for at least 20 minutes, Luke said, ”I don’t think I’ll come a second time while I’m alive. Their armed police are like a wolf pack. They won’t give up their prey easily. God, thank you for letting me escape from the claws of the Chinese armed police.”

Although he had regained his breath, his voice was hoarse. He had been running for too long. His throat was dry and filled with blood. He was exhausted.

Xia Jinyuan didn’t say anything. He just waved his hand, indicating that he didn’t want to talk now. He just wanted to rest.

Luke laughed loudly. He raised his arm and patted Xia Jinyuan’s shoulder heavily. He said gratefully, ”Xia, if it wasn’t for you, I would’ve been killed by the gun in the hands of the Chinese police. Thank you, Xia, for saving my life again.”
