Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

While Ye Jian was going to the border defense company to meet Xu Yu, Du Kaiwei, who was far away in the capital city, was furious at his younger sister, Du Jiayi, for the first time.

There was no other reason. It was because Du Jiayi had eavesdropped on his conversation with the battalion commander of the military unit.

”Du Jiayi, I think you’re getting worse. You don’t even have basic etiquette anymore. What have you been doing after leaving the military unit for so long? Didn’t you say that you wanted to enter the Ministry of Foreign Affairs? What about your results? What are you doing every day?”

Du Kaiwei was a narrow-minded person. No matter if his family was right or wrong, his immediate reaction would be to protect them. However, he was a soldier and a regimental commander. He had to set an example and pay special attention to the confidentiality of the military unit.

However, he didn’t expect that even around his family, he needed to be on guard. He hid in the study to receive a call from the military unit, but his younger sister actually eavesdropped!

This time, Du Kaiwei was so angry his face had turned red. If word got out, he would have to give up his title as regimental commander!

Du Jiayi couldn’t help but eavesdrop when she heard the name ’Ye Jian’. She didn’t expect to be shouted at by her brother. She was stunned for a moment. She didn’t react for a long time and stared at Du Kaiwei in disbelief.

Madam Li, who was playing with her grandchildren downstairs, heard her eldest son flying into a rage upstairs and asked her eldest daughter-in-law to go up and take a look. ”Yun, what’s going on? Go take a look at my eldest son. It’s the new year. Why is he so angry?”

Du Kaiwei’s wife, Tian Yun, glanced upstairs. She didn’t go up. Instead, she smiled and said, ”It’s okay, Mom. Kaiwei is a hot-tempered person. Don’t you know that? He’s shouting now, but he’ll be fine in a while.

Don’t worry.”

Then, she smiled at her son and said, ”Dan, don’t you want to go next door to play with your friends? Why don’t you go with Grandma?”

Tian Yun knew that her husband was angry at her sister-in-law, Du Jiayi. Although she didn’t know why, it was better to not get close to them at a time like this. Even as Du Jiayi’s sister-in-law and Du Kaiwei’s wife, she couldn’t persuade either of them. Thus, she might as well avoid them.

Knowing her mother-in-law’s personality, Tian Yun simply asked her son, who was already in the first grade, to lure her away.

Madam Li’s anger disappeared bit by bit after her grandson came back. Now that her grandson said that he wanted to go next door to play, she didn’t care about the quarrel between the siblings upstairs anymore. She prepared to bring her grandson over next door.

However, she was still worried. When they reached the door, Madam Li said, ”Go up and keep an eye on them. Kaiwei has a bad temper and has been in the military unit for too long. He shouldn’t use the military unit’s methods at home. Also, remind them that you still have to go to their grandma’s house for dinner later.

They shouldn’t fight till their faces turn red or it’ll be an embarrassing sight later.”

”I understand, Mom. Go out and play with Dan for a while. I’ll pack my things and go to Grandma’s house early. Dan said that he hasn’t seen her in a long time and wants to accompany her.”

Madam Li didn’t say much. She just brought her grandson out.

After her mother-in-law left, Tian Yun’s expression turned colder. She had never liked her sister-in-law.

She was scheming, but she pretended to be magnanimous. In the first year of Tian Yun’s marriage, she suffered two huge losses at the hands of her sister-in-law. Fortunately, her husband was transferred to Nanguang. She didn’t say anything because she didn’t want to see her sister-in-law’s two-faced nature.
