The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

”Greetings, Young Master Flores!”

Zorvyn Harrison hurriedly came out of the house and saluted Carson Flores, a surprised and questioning look in his eyes.

How did he find his way here?

And why was Zephyra, the steward, personally accompanying him?

”Sister Zephyra, please come in!”

Zephyra looked at Zorvyn with a touch of pity in her eyes: ”Zorvyn, Young Master Flores has sought me out, prepared to use points to restore your freedom, but after I reported to the Island Master, he refused...”

Zorvyn’s eyes lit up suddenly at the first half of the sentence, but as he heard the latter half, his once bright eyes dimmed instantly.

The change in his expression at that moment didn’t escape Carson Flores, who sighed inwardly.

The feeling of shattered hope, it’s probably something like this.

Carson Flores had initially thought Zorvyn would ask why the Island Master wouldn’t allow it, but he didn’t. He just lowered his gaze with a complex expression and remained silent.

Is it despair?

Zephyra said gently, ”Young Master Flores wanted to see you, so I brought him here. You two can talk, and I won’t intrude further.”

”Thank you, Sister Zephyra. Please come in, Young Master.”

Carson Flores stepped into the small building and was led into the house by the silent Zorvyn.

Zorvyn glanced around, looking slightly uneasy: ”Please sit, Young Master, and I’ll go make some tea for you.”

Carson Flores stretched out his hand to stop Zorvyn from leaving and said softly, ”No need, I’ve already had plenty of tea with Steward Zephyra...”

”Oh.”

Zorvyn responded, then feeling it was wrong to say nothing, he looked up into Carson Flores’s eyes: ”Are you planning to leave?”

Carson Flores replied, ”Everything’s settled, so yes, I’m preparing to leave. Originally, I hoped to use points to help you regain your freedom, but who knew the Island Master wouldn’t allow it...”

Zorvyn bit his lip lightly, his eyes dim, and his smile had a touch of melancholy: ”Thank you, Young Master Flores. You’ve been considerate. I already anticipated this outcome. But still, thank you.”

Carson Flores asked softly, ”Steward Zephyra said you have a special status, and that other flower maidens can be freed, but you can’t. Do you know why?”

Zorvyn nodded, his eyes filled with bitterness.

Carson Flores observed Zorvyn’s expression and sighed inwardly. Since he already knew and didn’t have any strong reaction, it was evident he had been prepared for this result.

Carson Flores did not probe further about the reasons, for regardless of the cause, nothing could change the result.

The reason doesn’t matter; the outcome is reality.

You can talk endlessly, but if you can’t save a person, what good are meaningless words of comfort?

Carson Flores said apologetically, ”I’m sorry I couldn’t help you.”

Zorvyn looked up, gazing into Carson Flores’s eyes: ”You don’t have to apologize. Despite my looks, you don’t despise me and even want to help free me. I’ve never met anyone like you before...”

Carson Flores smiled wryly: ”Don’t praise me. I had the intention, but I ended up helping you with nothing.”

Zorvyn shook his head, his gaze once again becoming bright as he looked at Carson Flores: ”No, even if you can’t help, it has strengthened my determination for freedom. I will definitely leave here; I will achieve freedom, even if I have to escape, I will!”

Carson Flores, looking into Zorvyn’s bright eyes, encouraged him, ”As long as you persist, there will always be a chance.”

Zorvyn looked at Carson Flores: ”Are you leaving?”

Carson Flores sighed inwardly, knowing he couldn’t help Zorvyn. Watching him in distress also made him feel bad, so what was the point of staying?

”Yes!”

Zorvyn bit his lip lightly, his expression growing determined: ”Close your eyes, I want to tell you something!”

Carson Flores’s brows slightly furrowed, his eyes filled with a trace of doubt.

Zorvyn remained silent, staring directly at Carson Flores, his expression insistent.

After a few seconds of eye contact, Carson Flores finally closed his eyes.

He vaguely guessed what Zorvyn intended to do. Though he wanted to refuse, looking into his bright eyes, he couldn’t bring himself to reject him.

At this moment, being a gentleman might just be the most cruel refusal to him.

Sure enough, as Carson Flores closed his eyes, an enchanting fragrance enveloped him. Two slender arms rested on his shoulders, and then soft lips pressed against his own.

This kiss was extremely gentle.

Zorvyn’s body was exceptionally soft, holding him in his arms felt like holding warm fragrant jade, leaving one reluctant to let go.

After a long time, their lips parted.

Zorvyn loosened his arms, stepped back, and turned around: ”Young Master Flores, you should leave.”

Carson Flores opened his eyes and looked at Zorvyn’s back, suddenly finding the view inexplicably beautiful.

Was it because of their recent closeness that his perception of him had changed?

Carson Flores wanted to say something, but didn’t know what, and after a few seconds of silence said, ”Take care of yourself, Zorvyn.”

”Young Master, take care too! I wish you a safe and smooth life, and that you may soon achieve the path to becoming a Saint!”

Carson Flores listened to Zorvyn’s words, clearly suppressing his emotions, his mind flooded with thoughts.

He walked slowly towards the door, and just as he was about to step out, he suddenly paused and turned his head.

”Are you willing to gamble your destiny for freedom?”
