The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Nerisse Blaine slightly tilted her head, her eyes looking at Carson Flores in confusion.

Disaster?

What kind of disaster?

This world only has the existence of Immortal Gathering Island, and no other Immortal Sects. What could possibly happen?

Carson Flores stared into Nerisse Blaine’s eyes: ”A Starry Sky Magical Beast should have long resided in the Black Demon Cave. After it left, a large nest of Demon Beast Spiders took over, and then they were transformed into magical beasts by the Demonic Qi, occupying the Underground World beneath the Black Demon Cave.”

”Now, the number of these Magic Spiders has reached a terrifying level, and their power is immense. I don’t know what has disturbed them, but I found that they all left the underground, came to the surface, and are marching south like an army.”

”I’m not sure how intelligent they are, or if they’re heading directly here, but if they are, then the base on Immortal Gathering Island will face a terrifying impact; this would be a disaster.”

Nerisse Blaine’s face was grave: ”You figured out the truth about the Black Demon Cave?”

Carson Flores shook his head: ”I used some unconventional methods to see a corner of the Underground World, then dared not delve deeper. As I was about to return, I saw them all coming out in force, so I hurried back ahead.”

”I’m just a Loose Cultivator; this matter is significant. Even if I say it, others might not believe, and there might be some unpredictable trouble, so I hesitated about whether to reveal this news.”

”You are the Saintess of the Separation Sea Sect, which is one of the Twelve Immortal Gates of the Myriad Immortals Palace. Your status bears weight, your words can be taken seriously. Even if anything happens, Immortal Gathering Island would have some scruples and won’t do anything to you.”

Carson paused for a moment and sincerely said, ”I have only one request: do not reveal my existence. If this thing comes true, it should count as a great merit; you will get considerable reward.”

”Of course, if you are unwilling to talk about this, we can pretend not to know and leave this place first, then decide what to do after...”

Nerisse Blaine’s gaze was subtle: ”You seem to trust me a lot?”

Carson nodded: ”You’re a good person and have been nice to me, so I naturally trust you.”

Nerisse Blaine was silent for a few seconds: ”If you are not going to reveal this matter, are you planning to leave alone?”

Carson replied, ”I will inform you before I leave.”

Nerisse Blaine’s lips twitched slightly upwards: ”Because I’m a good person?”

Carson’s gaze was open: ”I’m no Saint; I’m not going to save countless innocent people. When disaster strikes, I act within my limits, first protecting myself, then the people I care about. Fairy Blaine, since you have looked after me before, I will definitely inform you if it’s within my power.”

Nerisse Blaine nodded: ”Okay, I’ll handle this matter. Rest assured, no one will know about your existence.”

Carson breathed a sigh of relief: ”Thank you!”

Nerisse Blaine shook her head and softly said, ”It is I who should thank you because I was about to head north. If you hadn’t returned just in time, I might have run straight into them.”

”Alright, the Black Demon Cave isn’t too far from here, and time is tight. Let’s not waste words; I’ll go find the person in charge of Immortal Gathering Island right away.”

Carson agreed promptly: ”Alright!”

Nerisse Blaine turned and left. Before long, a voice rolled through the air like thunder.

”Attention everyone, please retreat into the protective Formation, do not loiter outside, and do not leave.

All Great Land Prime Immortals, please proceed to the main hall swiftly, please proceed to the main hall swiftly!”

Carson stepped out of the house. People were already darting across the sky outside, and more were gathering on the ground, discussing with puzzled expressions.

Nerisse Blaine’s influence indeed works well!

Although it has not yet been confirmed whether the Magic Spider army is attacking, Immortal Gathering Island’s first choice is to believe and take corresponding measures.

Carson believed that Immortal Gathering Island must have sent people north by now to search for signs of the Magic Spider army.

The army of Magic Spiders, in such numbers and so strong, advancing like an army, cannot be hidden from anyone. Their Divine Sense can detect it from afar, and whether it’s true or false can be verified with a probe.

Nerisse Blaine flew back from outside, immediately drawing many eyes.

Raelith Rhodes called out directly, ”Fairy Blaine, do you know what’s happening?”

Nerisse Blaine shook her head: ”There could be an invader; Immortal Gathering Island has sent people to check, and we’ll soon know the result.”

Maedryn Cobb asked perplexedly, ”Isn’t this world devoid of other Cultivators? Where would an invader come from?”

Nerisse Blaine landed on the rooftop of a building, looking north, not answering Maedryn Cobb’s question.

Time passed while waiting, and just when Carson couldn’t help but wonder if he was overthinking, and those Magic Spiders weren’t coming this way, a few streaks of light suddenly appeared on the horizon.

The streaks of light pierced the sky, rapidly heading toward the base at incredible speed. However, the next second, several massive figures appeared like phantoms over the horizon, instantly catching up with the streaks of light.

Carson’s pupils contracted; they really came!
