Chapter 1241: Chapter 1241: Vanguard? Just Push Forward!

Carson Flores pondered on the way how to withstand the Demon Race Army and save Greown City, even possibly more cities.

There was no way to hold off the attack with purely defensive measures.

First, it was too passive; second, the protective capabilities of these cities were too inadequate to stop the Demon Race Army, and with their smaller numbers, it was easy to stretch their defenses too thin.

Jorge Gross’s suggestion had given Carson Flores a significant hint.

Since they couldn’t hold their ground, they wouldn’t!

Take the initiative!

While the Demon Race’s army hadn’t yet advanced, they would strike first and scare them off.

With two Immortal Slaves and an Immortal by his side, plus a Ghost Tower capable of suppressing an Incarnation of an Immortal, what was there to fear?

If the enemy had an Immortal to support, they could simply retreat if they couldn’t win.

As long as his speed was fast enough, no one could catch him, and he could strike wherever he wanted!

Perhaps they couldn’t defeat the Demon Race Army, but they could definitely cause significant delays, preventing smooth progression and buying more time for the cities and Cultivators behind them.

Regardless of the outcome, as long as he did his best, he would have no regrets or guilt in the future!

Jorge Gross laughed, ”Guerilla warfare suits you perfectly—you know the Ground Shrinking Technique, moving incredibly fast. Practically no one can catch you, unless you run into a Formation that blocks all escape routes or suppresses the area completely.”

”You also have the Windroll Banner. When launching a surprise attack, you can hide your people inside the banner, strike the location instantly, and release a large group all at once—who can withstand that? It’s ’kill all who block, divine or mortal.’”

”Even if they outnumber us, we strike them with a surprise attack and immediately retreat. As long as we ensure our freedom to come and go without being trapped or caught, we will be invincible.”

Carson Flores thought about it and found the reasoning solid; he even had the Great Displacement Command. Even if trapped by a Formation, he could still make an attempt to escape.

As long as he had the slightest chance, he could escape to heaven!

”There’s no time to waste. Let’s finalize who will join.”

Carson Flores smiled, ”For now, the two of you, myself, and these two will do. In the future, we can add anyone strong enough; the weak ones are out of the question because even in a surprise attack, there’s no deceit in a fight between the strong.”

For Cultivators whose strength reached a certain realm, there was barely such a thing as a sneak attack-a Divinity Transformation trying to assault Later Stages of Hollow Void or Great Perfection could hardly make a difference. The gap in realms was overwhelming.

People capable of fighting above their realms like Carson Flores, Delaney Hunter, Bryant James, and Lilianna Norman were rare.

Jorge Gross responded readily, ”Great, you’re in charge.”

Carson Flores asked, ”Where is the Demon Race’s troop now?”

Jorge Gross answered, ”They’re half a day’s flight from here, with a few cities standing in their way, but they definitely won’t be able to hold them off.”

Carson Flores nodded, ”Then let’s take the initiative and curb the fierceness of the Demon Race.”

”Alright!”

...

Half a day later, Carson Flores and four others appeared on the northern lands, where the barren plains ahead were crowded with various Demonic Beasts.

”Heath Wells, go find out the details of this army—who leads them, how many strong individuals there are, if there’s a Great Witch, or an Immortal stationed...”

”Alright!”

As the Black Jiao King, Heath Wells just needed to release his aura, which was enough to stir the heavens with its demonic energy. Tapping into this Demon Race Army for information was as easy as eating a meal at home!

Soon, Heath Wells returned, reporting, ”This army is just a Vanguard. It’s led by the Black Rhino Demon, and there are about ten Great Demons in the team; the exact number of lesser demons is unknown.”

”Vanguard?”

Carson Flores grinned, ”If it’s just a Vanguard, then let’s completely annihilate them. If we are to strike, we must make it spectacular.”

Heath Wells stated, ”Master, I alone am sufficient to annihilate them!”

Carson Flores nodded, ”If that’s the case, let’s advance head-on!”

Kellan Gentry and Jorge Gross were startled, ”It’s five of us against their ten, twice our number, and so many more in the Demon Race Army. Can we really push through by confronting them directly?”

Carson Flores nodded toward Stella Rios and Heath Wells, ”With these two, there’ll be no problem.”

Kellan Gentry and Jorge Gross exchanged a look, both slightly confused.

Previously, Carson Flores had often acted alone, and after being away for so long, he suddenly had two seemingly powerful servants. How had he managed to subjugate them?

Had they simply bowed down upon hearing of his status as Human Emperor?

While they were still puzzled, Carson Flores had already flown towards the Demon Race Army, and the two hurriedly followed.

On the barren plains, countless Demonic Beasts were resting, with some of the lower-level ones even fighting among themselves.

The sudden appearance of Carson Flores and the others immediately caught the attention of all the demons, who stared curiously.

Were these five coming to meet their deaths?
