The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 1210: Chapter 1210: What a Fierce Power!

”Where?”

”At the peak opposite, there, there’s quite a few!”

Carson Flores halted, looking in the direction Lilianna Norman pointed to, and indeed beneath a mountain peak, he could vaguely make out human figures.

Not just one person, but a group.

This group wore uniform azure robes, which allowed Carson Flores to recognize them at a glance.

The Four Saints of the Azure Dragon Sect.

The people opposite clearly noticed Lilianna Norman and another man as well, with a middle-aged man swiftly flying over.

The middle-aged man stopped in front of Carson Flores and smiled casually, ”I was wondering who it might be, turns out it’s Her Highness the Saintess...”

Lilianna Norman replied calmly, ”What’s that supposed to mean?”

The middle-aged man chuckled, ”Your Highness, please find another place, the Ghost Spirit Lingzhi here belongs to us!”

Lilianna Norman said coldly, ”It doesn’t seem like the Ghost Spirit Lingzhi has entered your bags yet.”

The middle-aged man smiled slightly, his tone arrogant, ”He who is capable shall possess it. Your Highness, if you’re not satisfied, feel free to make a move, but if you get hurt, we won’t take responsibility.”

Carson Flores watched this scene, inwardly sighing at the thought that Lilianna Norman’s current status within the Demon Race seemed quite awkward.

Although she was the Demon Race Holy Maiden, these people obviously showed no respect for her. They called her ’Your Highness,’ but their tone was arrogant and did not take her seriously at all.

Carson Flores roughly guessed that the most important reason was that her strength was not strong enough to command respect from those powerful Great Demons.

The status of Lilianna Norman as the Saintess stemmed from her Innate Taoist Body, but, she didn’t have the backing of a supremely powerful family or Sect.

Talented though she might be, growth takes time, and until then, these people, while recognizing her status as the Saintess verbally, practically treated her as nothing more than a mascot - especially now that the Demon Emperor, the Demon Ancestor, and the Great Witch were present, who would take a young girl seriously?

Furthermore, in the eyes of many of the Demon Race, Lilianna Norman, as the Saintess, should sacrifice herself for the resurrection of the Demon Ancestor, allowing her Innate Taoist Body to exert its greatest function. Her refusal to be possessed was seen as quite insensitive.

This Saintess really had it rough!

Carson Flores felt a bit of sympathy for Lilianna Norman.

If it were somewhere else, not fearing to reveal his identity, even if Violeta Herrera did not make a move, Carson Flores would have taken action to teach this conceited person a lesson.

Lilianna Norman, with a cold demeanor: ”I suppose I may still have a look, right?”

The middle-aged man, with an arrogant expression: ”Of course you may look, but please, Your Highness, do not attempt to snatch it away, for even though you are the Saintess, we would have no choice but to offend.”

Lilianna Norman let out a cold huff, turned around, and flew a distance away, but did not leave.

”Getting ready to enjoy the show?”

Lilianna Norman nodded, ”Let’s see. It won’t delay us much anyway.”

Carson Flores didn’t mind either. Since entering, he had not yet engaged these giant beasts in direct combat, and he was curious to see what these people intended to do.

There were over a dozen disciples from the Azure Dragon Sect, perhaps because they had overpowering strength, they did not dawdle. Six or seven descended immediately, while the remainder floated mid-air providing support.

”Whoosh!”

No sooner had they landed than a massive figure burst out from a large cave, its huge claws lashing out.

Fast!

Unbelievably fast!

Even Carson Flores and Lilianna Norman, who were watching attentively, could not see clearly before the giant beast’s claw had already struck a man.

Caught off guard, the man took the full force of the blow, his skeleton shattered in an instant, his internal organs twisted and exploded, his body turned into a mess of broken flesh, and he was flung out, crashing into a distant mountain with a loud boom.

Carson Flores was startled by its speed and violence - that was a Transformative Great Demon!

Even though none of the Great Demons who entered this time were of the Great Perfection Realm, since Ghost Spirit Lingzhi had no effect on them, they were mostly Transformative Great Demons, and yet, to be brutally swatted like this!

Dust flew about as the unfortunate soul’s Primordial Spirit burrowed out from the ground.

His body was completely wrecked.

Even his Primordial Spirit had been injured by the slap; had it had a physical body, it likely would have been killed as well.

After the strike, the giant beast revealed itself - it was an enormous spiny hedgehog.

Carson Flores was both shocked and amazed.

These ancient bloodline beasts were incredibly powerful, that a Great Demon could not withstand even a single slap from it - what rampant force!

The others became mortally afraid, thinking if they had been the ones struck, they likely would have met the same fate.

Quickly scattering, various weapons and spells began to bombard the hedgehog, as they retreated backward, drawing the beast away from its cave to make it easier to harvest the Ghost Spirit Lingzhi, a tactic similar to that of Carson Flores and his companion.

Soon, the hedgehog was lured away, and the leading man in the air shouted, ”Go and harvest!”

One man lowered his altitude and then cautiously flew into the cave.

”There’s another one...”

”Bang!”
