Chapter 1216: Chapter 1216: Ancient Fierce Beast Kui Ox

True Dragon Secret Realm, Carson Flores had once had a similar experience.

The True Dragon’s roar echoed through heaven and earth, causing countless Demonic Beasts to run frenziedly to their deaths, eventually turning into Essence Blood for the True Dragon Soul to absorb and transform into Life Force.

Now, Carson Flores was much stronger than before, but this roar made him feel as if his heart might burst.

Just a single roar held such power, what on earth could it be?

Lilianna Norman’s face turned slightly pale, ”What’s going on?”

Carson Flores frowned, guessing, ”A mythical creature?”

”The sound seems to be coming from the central area. Shall we go and see?”

Carson Flores hesitated, ”Go and see?”

Lilianna Norman nodded, ”Okay!”

Neither of them was faint-hearted; with their own strengths, although they knew that venturing close would undoubtedly be dangerous, neither wanted to flee far away.

Fortune favors the bold!

Ahead, the originally clear sky suddenly became overcast with dark clouds, and torrential rains pounded down, casting a gloom over the world.

”What’s happening? It was clearly clear skies just a moment ago...”

”I’m afraid it has something to do with the roar we just heard.”

”That must be it, but I wonder what kind of mythical creature it could be that possesses such a loud voice? This place is a gathering ground for ancient beasts; surely there wouldn’t be a True Dragon, right?”

”We’ll find out soon enough.”

They talked as they moved towards the center of the dark clouds. If they were right, the mythical creature would be under the thickest part of the clouds, where the rain was heaviest.

Finally, the two of them reached the central area and stopped on a mountain peak that soared into the clouds, shocked at the scene before them.

Between heaven and earth, darkness engulphed, and amidst the pouring rain, there was a huge tornado extending for several miles, with its top connecting the sky full of dark clouds, resembling a Sky-supporting Pillar.

Within the massive tornado, there was a terrifying aura spreading in all directions, and a huge, blurry figure glowed with bright light; within this brilliant luminescence, two giant, deep blue light spots were moving ceaselessly.

The rain was too heavy, the light dim, and the tornado added a veil of obscurity, preventing Carson Flores and Lilianna from seeing the giant figure clearly, but by its posture, it must have been at least a few hundred meters tall.

”Those deep blue lights are a pair, moving without changing distance... are those the eyes of the mythical creature?”

Carson Flores’s gaze fell on the deep blue eyes, shocked, ”A mythical creature that stands hundreds of meters tall, with a roar that spreads for hundreds of miles, what kind of beast could it be?”

Lilianna Norman’s expression became grave, ”The roar is thunderous, with wind and thunder converging at its appearance and a torrential downpour. If I’m not mistaken, it might be... a Kui Niu!”

A Kui Niu?

Carson Flores paused, one of the Fierce Beasts from the legends of the Mortal Realm?

”Looks like an ox but has no horns and only one leg?”

Lilianna Norman asked oddly, ”It has two legs, how could it have only one? How would it walk with just one, hopping around?”

Carson Flores blinked, alright, legends are just legends, it seems.

No wonder there is also the legend that the Kui Niu has only one leg because another leg is hidden in side-view depictions.

”How strong is a Kui Niu in combat?”

Lilianna Norman spoke solemnly, ”Naturally, it is extremely powerful. Not to mention its offensive capabilities, its mere roar is enough to kill all weaker foes...”

Carson Flores felt the weight of those words. In legend, after a Kui Niu was killed, its hide was used to make a drum, with its bones for the drumsticks. A single strike of the Hammer would resonate for five hundred miles, and continuous pounding would thunder across three thousand eight hundred miles. Now that he thought about it, could this be a sound-based magical treasure?

Carson Flores wondered, ”This guy seems much stronger than the other beasts, could it be the king of the mythical creatures in this Secret Realm?”

Lilianna Norman kept her gaze fixed on the giant beast within the storm, ”Just wait. Even in ancient times, a Kui Niu was rarely seen because once discovered, they were almost always slain. We are close to the central region; surely many people are nearby, and they will definitely come...”

Carson Flores’s eyes brightened, ”Slain? Using its materials to make magical treasures?”

Lilianna Norman nodded, ”The most valuable part of a Kui Niu is its hide, which when used to craft magical treasures, provides immense power. For instance, making a war drum that can kill enemies en masse with a mere strike...”

Well, that part of the legend was true!

Carson Flores said with concern, ”That porcupine from before was only a few dozen meters tall, yet it had such terrifying Combat Power. This Kui Niu is several hundred meters tall; if it charges, who could withstand it?”

Lilianna Norman nodded, ”It definitely won’t be easy to kill, but surely no one will give up. In any case, let’s wait.”

”Okay!”

Carson Flores was unafraid; the Kui Niu might be a fierce creature from ancient times, incredibly powerful, but he was quick on his feet.

Watch the show, and if things go south, run!

Indeed, just as Lilianna Norman had predicted, groups of the Great Demon began to appear in the storm.

Looking at the colossal figure within the storm, everyone’s eyes lit up.

”A Kui Niu!”

”It must be a Kui Niu!”

”Unbelievable that there would be a Kui Niu in The Imperial Secret Realm. If we kill it, skin it, and make a war drum, it would be perfect to boost the morale of our Demon Race Army...”
