Doctor: I Can Synthesize Infinite Entries

Chapter 409: Chapter 253: Wu Ting’s Adamance: Sorry, Not Interested

When Wu Ting refused yet again, Li Tian, on the other end of the line, was clearly displeased, and his tone turned sour.

”Director Wu, how about this? I’ll add another one hundred thousand! Three hundred thousand total. Come over right now. If you don’t believe me, you can give me your account number, and I’ll arrange the transfer immediately.”

Li Tian was flaunting his wealth. He couldn’t believe that three hundred thousand wouldn’t be enough to sway this Director Wu.

Don’t doctors just do it for the money? Between a consultation and a three-hundred-thousand appearance fee, Li Tian believed any normal doctor would know which to choose.

Listening to Li Tian’s nouveau riche attitude, Wu Ting couldn’t help but let out an exasperated laugh.

’Does this guy really think I’m just playing hard to get, trying to drive up the price?’

If it weren’t for Director Ma’s reputation, Wu Ting wouldn’t have even taken the call.

Right now, she was busy heading to Haijin Port and couldn’t be bothered with this President Li from some real estate company.

With a firm sense of conviction, Wu Ting replied to Director Ma and President Li on the other end:

”Director Ma, thank you for your trust and for inviting me. However, the timing is really inconvenient today. I won’t be able to come over. Let’s find another opportunity to collaborate in the future.”

”Also, please inform that President Li next to you that money can indeed buy many things. But I, for one, am not interested in your pocket change.”

”That little bit of money really isn’t worth my trip. If the patient over there truly has primary liver cancer, needs a tumor resection, and you acknowledge the skill of my team, then you are welcome to come to our Hepatic Tumor Surgery department at Fan City First Hospital through the proper channels. All you’ll need is a 50-yuan expert consultation ticket.”

”But if you want me to make a special trip just for you, sorry, I’m not interested.”

After Wu Ting finished speaking coldly, she hung up the phone directly.

After hanging up, Wu Ting paid no more mind to this so-called President Li and immediately rushed to the cardiac surgery department of Jinggang University Affiliated First Hospital.

She was quite excited, hoping for some gains and breakthroughs today!

「Back at Xiao City Xin’an International Hospital.」

Director Ma hadn’t expected Wu Ting to be so uncompromising!

Even he wouldn’t speak so bluntly to Li Tian of Junyuan Real Estate. Still, in his heart, he had to admire Wu Ting’s courage and character.

Although he was a major director and considered a ”famous scalpel” in Jin Province, he would almost always accept invitations from the wealthy and powerful, as long as the price was right.

Among them were plenty of people with poor attitudes and character. He had put up with a lot of disrespect when he was younger; he had been in Wu Ting’s exact situation before.

’But that’s just business, isn’t it? Providing a service. You have to learn to accept it,’ he mused.

Now that he had endured and reached his current status and seniority in the field, backed by his position in the Hepatic Tumor Surgery department at Jin Province Tumor Hospital, the patients and families he encountered were almost always polite and gave him plenty of face.

He just hadn’t expected someone as young as Wu Ting to have such strong principles and boundaries.

”President Li, Director Wu is still young, after all, and she really is busy today. Let’s just drop it. There are plenty of other capable teams in Jin Province and Xianglin City. You can just extend some other invitations.”

”As for my team, if you compare us with others and still feel we’re a good fit, then I’ll arrange Teacher Yang’s surgery. If you find a better team and a better plan, that’s fine too. For now, I’ll take my leave.”

Director Ma offered these diplomatic words and prepared to leave. In his heart, however, he still believed that in Jin Province, and especially in the Xianglin City area, Wu Ting’s team was the best for primary liver cancer resection. ’What a pity,’ he thought.

Li Tian was so enraged by Wu Ting’s words that his chest heaved.

”What’s so great about a director from Fan City First Hospital? Who does she think she is, putting on such airs?”

”If Director Ma hadn’t recommended her, I would’ve never even heard of her.”

”Bao, don’t worry. I’ve already had my dad make appointments for you with Director Fu Jinfen from Jinggang University Affiliated First Hospital and Dean Chen from Xianglin City Xuanshang University Affiliated Hospital. Either of them is better than this Director Wu.”

”We were just considering another team for another perspective. Did she really think we couldn’t manage without her?”

Li Tian cursed a few more times, no longer giving any thought to the team from Fan City First Hospital.

’What a shameless piece of work.’

He was rich, and his father had connections. He was confident he could invite a suitable team of experts one way or another.

Hearing Li Tian’s plan, Yang Bao nodded.

”Tian, it’s not worth getting angry at a doctor who doesn’t know how to play the game. We can just hire other experts.”

Yang Bao also didn’t think missing out on this Director Wu was any great loss. In her eyes, a doctor like Director Wu, who was so clueless about social etiquette, wouldn’t go far in her career.

”Director Ma, thank you so much for today. I’ll have the finance department transfer your expert fee to your account shortly. If we need you again, I’ll be in touch.”

Li Tian’s attitude toward Director Ma was much better. In his mind, the director of Hepatic Tumor Surgery at Jin Province Tumor Hospital was worth the price and a smiling reception.

As for a mere associate director from a place like Fan City First Hospital, that was purely a transactional service. Social niceties didn’t matter.

A person like Li Tian was naturally selective, treating people differently based on their status.

A second-generation heir from a wealthy family like him wasn’t lacking in emotional intelligence; it’s just that in his eyes, most people were neither worthy of nor deserving of his consideration.

In any case, Director Ma had received his appearance fee, so he didn’t care about Li Tian’s subsequent choices.

”Well then, thank you, President Li, Teacher Yang. I wish Teacher Yang the best in finding the optimal surgical plan soon. Farewell!”
