Return of the Antagonistic Lady Boss

Chapter 861: Chapter 835: Are You Kidding Me with These Rules?

Mr. Liu placed the materials on the coffee table and sat on the sofa, feeling something poking her, took it out for a look——

Condom ×002 extra large, the silver cover eye-catching...

Qian awkwardly stuffed the small box quickly into her pocket, secretly cursing Yu Xiaoqiang several times.

It’s all his fault for leaving these things everywhere. He was supposed to fill the house with romance, not condoms!

Mr. Liu’s temples throbbed twice, pretended not to see, and pointed accusingly at Qian, calling her a little troublemaker. She had been busy gathering information about the competition for Qian in the past few days, and instead, Qian was stuck at home fooling around with these?

”Teacher, let me tell you a joke. What do you call the child of a small cannonball and a small steel egg? A small cannonball, haha~”

The final ”ha ha” carried endless guilt and embarrassment.

Mr. Liu laughed out of frustration, ”Thinking about having kids?”

”Yes, if I get pregnant now, I would have the baby during my first year of a PhD. Sort out the thesis, and by the third year, the child would be a bit older and manageable, not hindering graduation experiments. If I miss this opportunity, it’ll be several years before I get another... Teacher, are you still mad at me?”

”Mad about what exactly?”

”Last time, I was a bit too blunt, shouldn’t have compared you to clueless parents...”

”There are too many reasons for me to be mad at you. If I got mad at every single one, wouldn’t I die from anger? Forget it, do whatever you want, if you don’t want to go south, stay here with me. If I get too busy, you can always go back to your alma mater to help guide your juniors.”

Mr. Liu had come to terms with it. The relationship between her and Qian was more like mother and daughter rather than teacher and student. She had been thinking too much for Qian, but Qian was right, one shouldn’t bind others under the pretense of love, as children grow up and have their own thoughts.

”I knew you were good to me. I’m really glad I chose you, always have.” Qian happily hugged her, making Mr. Liu blush. Why was this little girl suddenly so sentimental?

”What was the topic I needed to discuss with you again?”

Mr. Liu realized she had been sidetracked.

Qian playfully winked, ”The competition.”

”Right, we were talking about the competition. I’ve got the schedule. Tomorrow is the preliminary written test, much like the qualification exams you’ve taken before. It’s all theoretical parts, like James’ self-esteem formula or something, nothing difficult, should be a piece of cake for you.”

Qian yawned, ”Even my apprentice could handle it.”

Though a freshman and only having an undergraduate degree, she had a high starting point. Top-tier psychological counselors often have mentors guiding them.

”The competition lasts 3 days. Day 1 is a written test, Day 2 involves a presentation on a given project, free debate. I got a notification I’ll be a judge, though from my analysis, I won’t be covering your area, I know some inside details. For example, the scoring standard is divided into 4 levels, where handling a case not only requires reasonable management but must be artistic. Especially the artistic aspect, which weighs heavily.”

”Treating a case needs to be artistic? The person who set this rule must’ve been kicked by a donkey, likely an outsider’s doing. It’s like saying you have to sculpt a hemorrhoid removal in the style of Michelangelo. Is that necessary?”

The only function of that area is to pass waste; no amount of artistry helps.

Some outsiders managing insiders’ businesses are just brainless, proposing ideas without thinking, and all the while thinking they’re doing well.

”Don’t criticize the organizers. Just take care of your own performance. I’m not worried about you too much, but I’m concerned about your money-grubbing nature. Even if you have to fake it, act like a benevolent healer who’s unconquerable in compassion, don’t let a hint of greed for money show, understand?”

”Hypocrite... I’m not forcing anyone to come to me if they don’t want to. Even if I’m expensive, people are queuing up.” Qian muttered under her breath, realizing her teacher’s gaze could kill, she quickly put on a smile.

”Yes! Don’t worry, teacher, I know what to do. During the free presentation segment, I’ll answer it with the spirit of a middle school student answering political essay questions: I’ll align with the core socialist values and the main theme, praising the influence and help of promoting spiritual civilization in contemporary clinical psychology before I answer anything.”

Liu Linlin nodded, yes, that’s the idea.

If they asked Qian, Why did you study psychology? And she answered, ”Because there’s a pricing void in the domestic market, without regulations, I can slaughter fat sheep freely.” This would directly earn her zero marks for being off-theme, and anything she says thereafter would be given the tag of having improper views.

”Isn’t the final supposed to be 3 days? What’s on the third day?”

”In previous years, it was debates, but they switched it this year to a simulated clinic. The finalists will each see a virtual patient in an enclosed space for an hour. The entire session is broadcast to judges and audiences, with the final score consisting of 70% judges and 30% ’patient’.”

”...Letting a virtual patient score professional doctors?” Qian’s expression could almost shout: Are you kidding me?

Liu Linlin also looked helpless, ”That’s how they set it up. They say giving virtual patients evaluation rights represents future doctor-patient relationships. Those playing patients may not be professionals, but they’ll rate their satisfaction based on the doctor’s attitude during treatment.”

This is akin to buyer ratings on a shopping site after purchases.

Qian could foresee even with her knees that her virtual patient would definitely give her a poor rating.

Regardless of her responses, the other party would definitely rate poorly.

Do trolls need a reason to spew? A professional bad reviewer sent by the other party would definitely target her, that’s guaranteed!

Turns out they were waiting for her here, it’s a simple, crude, yet effective trap.

Yu Minglang was punctual in getting off work today, as he pushed the door open, raising his brows.

”Qian, are you playing the thinker game here?”

She currently looked particularly like Rodin’s classic sculpture, ”The Thinker.”

”I’m lost in deep confusion...”

Since her teacher left until now, Qian had been in a brain-cell-burning thinking mode.

Headache, anxiety, just can’t figure things out.

”Confused about what? Did you buy the groceries I asked for?”

”When did you ask me to buy them?” Qian looked bewildered.

Xiaoqiang walked over, took her phone, and pulled up the messages. He had sent it in the afternoon, and it was still unread.

”Sorry, I got caught up in something today.” Qian had been so troubled by the bad rating situation, she was preoccupied thinking of strategies.

”I wanted to come home early today to make you boiled fish, but now the market’s closed. We’ll have to eat out. Qian, what’s been giving you a headache?” His Qian had always been rational and calm; it was rare for something to make her this troubled.
