Ice Age Apocalypse: I Hoard Billions of Supplies

Chodak and Gele were both reinforcement-type superhumans specializing in close combat. Perhaps influenced by the rugged customs of the Snowy Plateau Region, the men here were more inclined toward hand-to-hand brawls.

The two collided, and in an instant, they began a frenzied exchange of blows!

The thunderous impacts made even the onlookers watching from a kilometer away feel their hearts pounding in their chests.

Gele, transformed into the Eight-Armed Vajra, leveraged his advantage of having more arms to launch a savage assault on Chodak’s vital points.

However, Chodak used his combat experience to dodge the attacks targeting his vitals.

His skin was like metal, possessing formidable innate defensive power. As long as his vital points weren’t struck, getting cut and bleeding elsewhere were merely minor injuries.

The Fierce-Eyed Vajra’s combat power was at its peak when his rage reached its zenith.

And the sight of his own blood made Chodak’s strikes even more ferocious!

His pitch-black arms swung like two iron pillars, his fists like bronze hammers, smashing viciously toward Gele’s head!

A single punch tore through the air with a sonic boom!

Gele immediately crossed two of his arms in front of his head to block, while his other six arms continued their relentless assault.

Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!

Thunderous roars echoed across the battlefield. Their bodies were massive, yet their movements showed no hint of sluggishness; on the contrary, they were incredibly agile.

Even Zhang Yi had to employ his spatial acceleration ability to enhance his dynamic vision just to track their movements.

When he finally managed to clearly see the two combatants, Zhang Yi couldn’t help but suck in a sharp breath of cold air.

From the very beginning, neither had held back in the slightest. This was a fight to the death!

Gele’s weapons hacked and slashed viciously against Chodak’s body.

Meanwhile, Chodak’s eyes burned crimson. He only dodged attacks aimed at his vitals, his twin fists hammering down like bronze mallets, aiming squarely for Gele’s head and chest!

The air was filled with the sound of fists impacting flesh, mingled with the roars from both men, turning the faces of many private soldiers ashen.

The clan leaders on both sides watched the center of the battlefield with grave expressions, silently praying for their own warrior to swiftly kill his opponent.

After observing for a while, Zhang Yi sensed Chodak was in a precarious position.

In terms of raw power, Chodak held the upper hand.

But his opponent had eight arms to his two, meaning his attacks were constantly being blocked.

Conversely, he struggled to defend against his opponent’s onslaught.

”That guy is quite clever,” Zhang Yi commented flatly.

Liang Yue shot Zhang Yi a glance. ”Just petty cleverness.”

”Oh?” Zhang Yi looked at her curiously.

Liang Yue explained, ”Why are humans born with two arms? Wouldn’t more arms make work easier? It’s not just humans. Lions, tigers, elk, horses—they all have four limbs.”

”More limbs aren’t necessarily better. Heaven gave us four limbs because that’s the most harmonious proportion.”

Hearing this, Zhang Yi carefully observed Gele’s fighting style and indeed noticed a lack of coordination in his movements.

With eight arms, it was impossible to exert full force with all of them simultaneously. Moreover, they created mutual burdens and dispersed his power.

Zhang Yi gave a faint smile. ”It is indeed petty cleverness.”

But soon, he wiped the smile away. ”However, petty cleverness can still be quite useful!”

Gele understood his own ability better than anyone and naturally knew his eight arms couldn’t all deliver peak power.

Therefore, he coordinated his primary and secondary limbs quite well. His two original arms were used to wrestle with Chodak, directly withstanding Chodak’s furious bombardment.

His other arms worked sneakily from below, inflicting wounds on Chodak’s body.

Chodak’s body was as sturdy as steel, but it wasn’t without weaknesses.

Gele focused his attacks on Chodak’s groin.

It seemed despicable, yet in actual combat, any method was permissible if it led to killing the opponent.

Even among the martial arts techniques Liang Yue taught Zhang Yi, many killing moves targeted the lower body.

It might sound unsavory, but it was incredibly effective in practice.

Chodak’s face instantly darkened.

For a man, that area was undoubtedly the most vulnerable. A hit there, even with moderate force, could instantly rob him of his fighting capability.

”Bastard!” Chodak roared in fury.

He immediately stomped both feet hard against the ground, leaping backward to create distance from Gele.

But Gele wasn’t about to give him that chance. He swiftly closed the gap, his eight weapons hacking down toward Chodak’s head!

The air crackled with explosive sounds. Liang Yue, watching from the side, kept shaking her head.

Zhang Yi understood. In the eyes of this Martial Arts Master, the fighting between these two lacked any semblance of technique.

It was pure brute force and a few combat tricks learned in a short period.

They were far inferior to Liang Yue, who had undergone systematic training, and even fell short of Zhang Yi, whom she had personally trained.

Fights between enhancement-type superhumans were brutal, yet also brimming with raw, visceral intensity.

Soon, both men were covered in wounds.

Chodak’s body was littered with gashes left by Gele’s weapons, some deep, some shallow. Steam rose from the injuries as blood streamed down.

Each time he was wounded, the crimson light in his eyes intensified.

However, Gele wasn’t faring well either. His strength was ultimately inferior to Chodak’s. His head had taken a solid punch from Chodak, leaving the left half of his face a bloody mess, his eye almost blinded.

His chest had also been hammered, visibly dented by a centimeter or two!

The battle was bloody and cruel. As fellow enhancement-type superhumans, both possessed immense strength and defense, making it exceedingly difficult for either to die.

The fierce battle raged on for dozens of minutes.

Chodak was drenched in blood from head to toe, with two broken swords still embedded in his body.

Gele wasn’t in much better shape. He coughed up large mouthfuls of blood that dripped down his long beard, soaking his clothes.

Pagyi Gesang witnessed this scene, closed his eyes, and silently rotated the sandalwood prayer beads in his hand.

On the other side, La Min Ouzhu’s face remained expressionless, though her complexion seemed to have paled further.

If the fight continued, both men would die.

But now, neither side could call for a stop.

Whoever called for a stop would be admitting defeat!

Watching such a bloody fight, Zhang Yi crossed his arms and calmly turned his head toward Pagyi Gesang, who was praying with closed eyes.

”They can’t keep going. If this continues, they’ll both die. What happens if you call for a stop?”

Hearing this, Pagyi Gesang opened his eyes and hastily said, ”Impossible! If we call for a stop, the honor of my Pagyi Family will be sullied. Chodak would never accept the humiliation of defeat either.”

Zhang Yi replied impatiently, ”Will it affect the overall outcome of the battle?”

Pagyi Gesang was momentarily stunned.

He then realized that at this point, both Chodak and Gele were grievously wounded.

Regardless of who won or lost this round, the victor would likely die in the next fight.

After all, this was a battle of attrition.

So, even if they conceded this match, it wouldn’t have a significant impact on the overall war situation.

”But, if we call for a stop and the other side forces that near-dead guy to keep fighting, and he manages to injure our next man in a final desperate act, wouldn’t we suffer a huge loss?” Pagyi Gesang argued through gritted teeth, unwilling to give up.
