Ice Age Apocalypse: I Hoard Billions of Supplies

Pagyi Gesang enthusiastically grabbed Zhang Yi’s arm. ”Please forgive the inadequate hospitality, but I have prepared the most sumptuous banquet for you. You must join me for dinner!”

He said mysteriously to Zhang Yi, ”I told you before, we have the most delicious food in the world here. It’s just that the ingredients are hard to obtain. You’ve come at the perfect time to have a taste!”

Zhang Yi and his group had actually already eaten the food they brought themselves.

However, Pagyi Gesang’s banquet was clearly not just about eating.

First, it was to discuss future matters with Zhang Yi. Second, it was to express respect for Zhang Yi and his companions.

Zhang Yi followed the principle of a guest deferring to the host. Moreover, he was very curious in his heart about just how delicious the so-called local specialty delicacies were.

Soon, Pagyi Gesang greatly broadened Zhang Yi’s horizons.

In the extremely frigid Snowy Plateau Region, the Pagyi Family held a grand banquet.

Inside the palace-like luxurious house, a huge round table was set, and all kinds of delicious dishes were brought out one after another.

The maids serving around were all wearing thin dresses, each possessing beautiful features.

After seeing this, Zhang Yi could only sigh inwardly, thinking the Olympic rings had all gathered here.

Because these beauties encompassed all skin tones and races.

There weren’t many people accompanying the luxurious banquet, only Pagyi Gesang, Zhang Yi, and the others.

As everyone took their seats, music began to play. A troupe of the most professional Snowy Region ethnic dancers, barefoot, entered the living room and began a seductive dance.

Zhang Yi wasn’t in the habit of watching dances normally. Even when he had the chance, it was only on TV.

For this kind of performance program, he always instinctively switched channels, feeling it wasn’t very interesting.

But this was the first time he was watching such a large-scale dance live. The sight of those dancers with bodies as soft as noodles, tall with long legs, performing right before his eyes, really gave one a feeling of not knowing where to look.

Pagyi Gesang smiled and said to Zhang Yi and the others, ”Whichever ones you gentlemen like, you can take them back to attend to you after the banquet. Please don’t be shy.”

Zhang Yi smiled faintly. Thinking of that Twenty-seventh Concubine in his mind, he said, ”No need. I don’t have such worldly desires.”

Zhang Yi wouldn’t dare to casually take someone arranged by Pagyi Gesang into his bed. Who knew if there was a problem?

Caution ensures longevity. A man is most vulnerable when on the bed and on the toilet.

Fatty Xu and Old You were somewhat tempted. But firstly, Old You knew Zhou Haimei was inside Mu Yan’s Shadow Space, so he had to restrain himself.

Secondly, Fatty Xu always had to follow Zhang Yi’s lead in everything he did.

If even Zhang Yi didn’t want them, he certainly didn’t dare. He could only lower his head and silently shovel rice from his silver bowl.

Pagyi Gesang nodded, praising, ”Truly worthy of being a great hero of your generation. You, sir, are indeed an extraordinary man.”

Everyone feasted for a while, casually chatting about topics that weren’t very sensitive.

Zhang Yi and the others had just arrived in the Snowy Region. Pagyi Gesang was quite sensible, first entertaining them with good food and drink before discussing other matters.

But to be honest, the taste of this meal was indeed better than what they ate in Shengjing.

Zhang Yi asked, ”This meal must still be from that treasured chef of yours, right?”

Hearing this, Pagyi Gesang laughed proudly. ”Of course! Luodan is the finest chef in our Snowy Region. The food he prepares can be used as offerings to gods and Buddhas!”

As he spoke, Pagyi Gesang murmured, ”That delicacy should be ready now. Everyone, the most delicious dish prepared for you today will be served shortly. You can look forward to it!”

As Pagyi Gesang said this, his own eyes couldn’t help but shine with light.

”The ingredients for this food are extremely difficult to prepare. Even I rarely get to eat it.”

He picked up his dinner knife, looking toward the front with an expectant expression.

Zhang Yi exchanged glances with Fatty Xu, Liang Yue, and the others, feeling even more curious.

When it came to superhumans in the culinary field, Yang Siya could only be considered half of one.

Because the food she made was more like nutritional supplements. It could replenish special abilities, but it didn’t enhance the flavor.

However, it was obvious that the Pagyi Family’s chef, Pagyi Luodan, possessed a lifestyle-type ability—specifically, making dishes more delicious.

This kind of ability was somewhat useless in the Apocalypse, but for the powerful and wealthy, it was very valuable.

Just as they were thinking this, suddenly, an extremely enticing aroma wafted from the distance.

The eyes of Zhang Yi and the others went a bit wide.

They had never smelled such a fragrant scent before. It was even difficult to describe in their own words. Just smelling the aroma made them feel as if their souls were being captured.

It was mesmerizing, even giving them the impulse to immediately rush over and feast heartily.

Not just Zhang Yi, everyone in the room seemed a bit dazed.

The maidservants lowered their heads, swallowing saliva frantically. The dancing dancers’ movements became disordered, and the musicians’ playing began to fall apart.

But no one noticed these things. Everyone’s attention was fixed on the corridor leading from the kitchen to here.

Under everyone’s gaze, a man wearing a white chef’s uniform slowly pushed a trolley forward.

His hair was meticulously styled elegantly.

He pushed the cart to the dining table. Everyone was captivated by the food on the trolley he pushed.

Even though it was covered by a dish cover, that enticing aroma still surged into everyone’s noses in waves, impossible to conceal.

Pagyi Gesang’s obese body suddenly ”thumped” as he stood up.

Holding his dinner knife, he hurriedly said to Luodan, ”Luodan, quickly serve the food for everyone!”

Chef Luodan elegantly nodded to everyone, then reached out and lifted the dish cover.

If this were an animation, golden light would definitely shoot into the sky at this moment, and images of beautiful musicians playing would appear in everyone’s minds.

Of course, in reality, those things didn’t appear.

What was revealed before them was a plate of extremely exquisitely prepared meat.

White, tender, soft, glutinous, emitting an aroma that seemed to draw one’s soul away.

But in an instant, Zhang Yi’s expression changed.

Previously, the food was covered by the dish cover, so he hadn’t sensed it.

But now, this smell finally made him realize what it was.

He recalled the days at the Yuelu Residential Complex over two years ago.

When he burned those evil neighbors who wanted to harm him with a great fire, a similar aroma had filled the air.

Although Luodan’s culinary skills were perfect, Zhang Yi, with his keen sense of smell, naturally wouldn’t overlook that familiar scent.

Zhang Yi silently put down his chopsticks, his eyes deeply looking at Pagyi Gesang, whose eyes were shining.

”Family Head Pagyi, is this what you’re feeding us?”
