The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Chapter 478: Chapter 478: Cartoon Cat Handkerchief

King of Film Xu faced a big and a small pair of eyes, took a deep breath, picked up the bowl, and started eating heartily.

Strangely, this time he didn’t feel like vomiting at all.

Even… he found it a little tasty.

Delicious!

By the time he snapped back to reality, the bowl was empty, not a single grain of rice left.

King of Film Xu froze for three seconds, eyes glazed, and then looked up at Cheng Lu.

Cheng Lu had never thought he would actually eat it. If threats had been effective, they would have worked a long time ago.

Who could have imagined, he not only ate it but finished it all!

Seeing that she was as shocked as himself, King of Film Xu reacted quicker than her, showing her the squeaky-clean bowl with a raised eyebrow, “I ate it all up.”

“I see that, now go wash the dishes,” Cheng Lu snorted and turned to go inside.

King of Film Xu not only cleaned his own bowl but also washed all the dishes and utensils until they were spotless.

It seemed that with food in his stomach, he was more spirited than usual.

The children huddled together, and seeing them behaving, the adults didn’t keep a constant watch over them.

Seizing the moment when the adults weren’t paying attention, Xiao Lingzhi took out the flowers she had secretly hidden and handed them to Little Taotie, while Little Jasmine also brought out a big bunch of flowers she had hidden under the bed.

Little Taotie earnestly taught Little Jasmine how to weave bracelets, and Xiao Lingzhi initially wanted to learn as well but soon ran out of patience and gave up.

Little Steamed Bun lay there obediently, watching her sister and Sister Little Taotie weave, not fussing or making noise, those big eyes fluttering like a quiet and serene doll.

Suddenly, a mischievous little hand pinched Little Steamed Bun’s face!

The chubby little face was squished out of shape.

Little Steamed Bun looked on bewilderedly, his big eyes filled with grief, yet he didn’t cry. Instead, he looked at the culprit with curiosity and confusion.

Xiao Lingzhi giggled, “The adults always like to pinch my cheeks, so I wanted to see how it feels. Hee hee hee, it’s really comfortable!”

Little Steamed Bun was silent, with mist gathering slowly in his big eyes, turning into tears, ready to brim over.

Xiao Lingzhi hastily let go and covered his mouth instead, “Don’t you cry your eyes out! If you do, the adults will come over, and they’ll find out your sister and Little Taotie are making bracelets, and the surprise will be ruined! Then you’ll be the rat’s droppings that spoiled the pot of porridge!”

She lowered her voice, with a hint of threat, “Humph, you don’t want to become stinky rat’s droppings, do you?”

Little Steamed Bun: “…”

He didn’t dare to cry out loud, but tears fell drop by drop along his cheeks, pitifully.

Xiao Lingzhi, feeling a rare pang of guilt, released the hand over his mouth. After rummaging in her pocket for a while, she remembered that snacks and Candy had been confiscated by the crew.

Xiao Lingzhi sheepishly said, “Don’t cry, once we finish shooting the show, I’ll take you to my grandfather’s teahouse. There are lots and lots of beautiful cakes and candies there.”

Little Steamed Bun sniffled, his little voice full of grievance, “You wouldn’t lie to me, right?”

Xiao Lingzhi extended her little finger and made a promise, “I’m older than you. I wouldn’t stoop to lying to a little brother!”

Seeing him go from tears to smiles, Xiao Lingzhi breathed a sigh of relief. She wanted to use a handkerchief to wipe his tears, but upon seeing his runny nose and thinking about her favorite cartoon cat handkerchief, she hesitated. Finally, she covered his nose with the handkerchief and said unhappily, “Wipe your nose. You shouldn’t be called Little Steamed Bun, but rather Big Crybaby!”

Little Steamed Bun giggled, wiped his face clean, and leaned in to show her, “See, all clean!”

He attempted to return the handkerchief to Xiao Lingzhi, but seeing the dirtied handkerchief, she waved her hand, “Keep it! It’s all dirty now, Big Crybaby!”

Little Steamed Bun put the handkerchief in his pocket, grinning foolishly at her.

Xiao Lingzhi covered her eyes and sighed, muttering, “Kids, they’re so hard to deal with.”
