Dragon Monarch System

Chapter 860: Chapter 860:- Visitors From Main Continent [II]

”The Name of our Sect is Chimera Shadow Sect.” The beautiful, short woman replied in a polite tone.

ʼThe people from the Chimera Sect.....!!!

Adityaʼs parents and grandparents had a history with this sect.

Both sides always maintained a friendly relationship since this Sect was located west of the Celestial Dragon Empire. Aditya isnʼt sure if that has changed since he was exiled from the Empire.

The Previous Sect Leaders and Elders always attended all events and celebrations hosted by the Royal Family.

ʼChimera Shadow Sect.....!!!

The people from Chimera left a deep impression on Aditya. It wasnʼt because he was impressed by their powers and wanted to join their sect.

It was because they had a reputation for being very dark and chaotic. It was one of those sects that regularly crossed the boundaries between good and bad if there was any interest in it. The Sect was neither good nor bad. When needed, like a chameleon, the sect changed its color.

ʼNow that I think about it, the Main reason why this Sect was so close and friendly towards us is because of our power.ʼ Everyone knows that the Celestial Dragon Empire is one of the strongest Empires in the whole world-no dares to mess against them, so being on their good side was the best choice. After all, both parties shared borders. It was better to stay on friendly terms.

When Aditya was young, he regularly saw the sectʼs Elders. Every month, one of the Elders would come to teach him and his cousin.

They were more than happy to play the role of mere teachers and teach the Crown Prince and the Emperorʼs nephew.

The elders taught them the basics. But when Aditya was about ten to eleven years old, the Elders stopped teaching him, and his cousin regularly received their lessons until the age of 13.

ʼI guess they wanted to create a favorable impression.ʼ

ʼIf the Next Generation grew up without any positive impression of the Chimera Shadow Sect, the whole future of the Sect would have been in danger.ʼ

”I have heard of the Chimera Shadow Sect.” Hearing this, James and Anna both smiled.

Both of them wrongly assumed that Aditya must have heard of all the great things that their Sect is known for.

”Really, that makes things a lot easier,” James said with a smile.

Then they wonʼt need to waste time explaining about their Sect.

ʼInstead of explaining, I could just ask him what he knows about our sect.ʼ James wanted to hear good things about his Sect from Adityaʼs mouth.

”Your Majesty, may I ask what you have heard about our Chimera Shadow Sect?” James asked in a polite tone. This time, his tone was softer.

”I donʼt know much about your Sect, but I have heard some things here and there.” Aditya purposely kept the source vague. If these idiots or the Sect itself knew that he was the exiled Crown Prince of the Celestial Dragon Empire, then the Sect wouldnʼt have sent them here in the first place. Or maybe, instead of sending two disciplines to recruit Aditya into their Sect, they would have sent their Elders, or maybe even the Sect Leader personally would have visited him.

”I heard that your Previous Sect Leader had an affair with one of the Elderʼs wife. The Elder caught them in the act.”

Hearing this, Jamesʼs face turned ugly. It was like he was forced to chew shit.

As for the little girl named Anna, she looked confused.

ʼWhat is he even talking about?ʼ With a look of doubt and confusion, then turned to look at James. Seeing his ugly, awkward expression, she understood that there was some truth in the Emperorʼs words.

ʼI joined the Sect about four years back. So it makes sense that I did not hear about this scandal.ʼ

ʼIn fact, if I had heard about this scandal, then I wouldnʼt joined the Chimera Shadow Sect in the first place.ʼ As a young genius, Anna did not lack offers. She received offers from other Sects that were equally powerful and reputable as the Chimera Shadow Sect.

This is why the Chimera Shadow Sect did everything in its power to suppress words about this scandal.

This whole event happened about nine and a half years back. The scandal was so big and spread so quickly that nobody joined the Chimera Shadow Sect for the next few years. In fact, many of the disciplines even left the Sect.

In an effort to hide this, a new Sect Leader was chosen. The Elder and the Sect who were involved in this matter were forced into exile. Both of them were sent to a remote place to resolve their personal matter.

To save their Sectʼs reputation and image, everyone decided to keep quiet about this scandal.

”I.....i donʼt know what His Majesty is talking about.” James replied while trying to keep a straight face.

”From what I heard, The Elderʼs second child was actually the child of the Sect Leader. In anger, the Elder personally killed his wife and exiled his second child to the Six Continents to die.”

”As for how the Sect handled this matter, I am not sure.” Back then, Aditya was living a very hard life.

Around that time, he lost most of his powers and authority as the Crown Prince. He was just a Crown Prince in name but without any real power or influence. So, there was no way for him to know how this whole matter ended.

ʼI can distinctly recall the Chimera Shadow Sect turning into a source of public ridicule. As a result, the members of the Sect stopped going to any outside territories for a while.ʼ

James realized that there was no hiding this huge scandal. The Emperor knew more details than even he did.

And he has been with the Sect for about 15 years now. He practically grew up in that Sect, and it was his home. Yet, an outsider knew more details than he did about this scandal.

Due to the fact that everyone wants to bury this matter, no one in the Sect, even among the Sect members, talks about it.

Also, whoever talks about this event will be punished heavily. The Sect had implemented this rule a few months after this scandal in an effort to make the whispers silent.

”Your Majesty, at that time, I was away from the Sect for a period of 9 months. To this day, I donʼt even know what exactly happened.”

”This is nothing but a baseless rumor that our Rival Sect spreads to ruin our reputation.” ”And I believe what you heard from others is also only rumors. Please donʼt believe in every

Rumor.”

Aditya just smiled and dropped the matter. He wasnʼt interested in rubbing salt in their wounds.

But his ugly and panicked expression said a lot of things that his mouth and tongue failed to

say.

”Unfortunately, I donʼt know anything else about your Sect. Do you mind telling me a little bit more?” He showed interest because he wanted to know about the political situation of the

Main Continent.

ʼMaybe I will know how my ex-Empire is doing. Maybe calling it Ex-Empire would be wrong since I was never the Emperor. But it was my home.ʼ

Hearing this, James and Annaʼs eyes lit up. Both of them eagerly began telling them of their Sectʼs recent accomplishment along with a little bit of history of their Sect, which did not

interest Aditya.

What interested him was.....”In the last 10 years, our Sect has been consistently winning the Regional Youth Championship and Regional Grand Championship.”

”If you donʼt know, the Regional Youth Championship is a tournament featuring all young genius from all big and small Sects, Empires, and Kingdoms from one region. Cultivators from the age of 15 to the age of 30 can join this Championship.”

”Also, if any genius under the age of 30 is already above mid-6th-order, then He/She is

qualified to Join the Regional Grand Championship, which features the strongest and the best

cultivators from all over one Region.”

”Beginner 7th-order or Higher Order cultivators are not allowed to join this tournament.”

”The talents in our Sect are unquestionable.”

”Our Scouts and our recruitment system are the best in our region. This is evident by the fact that no one has managed to win the Regional Youth Championship in the last 12 years.”

Aditya already knew about this competition. But he was more interested in another competition. It was the biggest competition of all.

”I am more curious about the Prodigy Ascension Tournament.” Hearing this, James and

Annaʼs expression stiffened.

They thought Aditya did not know about this tournament.

”Or, can you tell me about the Celestial Domain Battlefield.?” These two were the most

important and most viewed and most grand competitions in the whole world. These two competitions are the most prestigious of all.

Really Thank you very much to all those who send support with valuable golden tickets. I hope

we can keep it up!!!
