Dragon Monarch System

848  Chapter 848:- New Empress

Knock! Knock!!

”What is it?” The guard was startled hearing the annoyed tone of the former Crown Prince. The former Crown Prince of the Dune Sovereignty now has become a prisoner. In just one week, he not only lost his position as the future Emperor of the Dune Sovereignty, but he also forfeited his status and power. He lost his wealth, prestige, and everything else he once had as the Crown Prince.

In a week, he went from being the second most important figure in the Dune Sovereignty to being a nobody.

He was completely erased from the public. While everyone believed he had gone to the Main Continent to pursue higher-order cultivation, the truth was that their Crown Prince was imprisoned in the deepest level of a prison, isolated from the world.

In a dark cell, Garrick was sitting on the floor. There was no one else besides him. The whole cell was completely dark.

The other cells around him were completely empty. This was the deepest level of the Royal Palaceʼs prison. The rays of Sunlight have never reached this deep. The cell was about the size of an ordinary room; which was quite bigger compared to other cells. There was a toilet and a small bed which was barely big enough for him.  In the cell, there were books on self-reflection. But Garrick never once bothered to touch them. As a result, these books were collecting dust in a corner of the cell. He was still as stubborn as ever. He still stubbornly believed that he was right and he was wronged. In fact, the only face that he ever saw throughout the whole day was the face of one guard who came with his meals. Although Garrick never asked, the guard always made sure to bring some outside-world information with him. Just yesterday, Garrick heard that his father had gone to war with the Istarin Empire. At first, Garrick was happy, but then he was disappointed. Why did his father have to go to war only after putting him in prison? But then he heard about this mysterious figure named ʼRobertʼ whom the Emperor had chosen to lead the Dune Sovereigntyʼs army. Hearing this, Garrick was so angry that he wanted to go out of the cage just so that he could question his father as to why he made this stupid decision. How could he allow someone who randomly appeared out of nowhere to lead their troops?

After he got more information, he soon realized that the Emperor started this war because he trusted Robert to have the power to take down the Dragon Monarch, which he nearly did but ultimately failed to do. The last news that he received yesterday was that they had lost the war. Even though Garrick hated his father, he was really pissed at the fact that they lost. While Charles calmly accepted his defeat and was ready to move forward, Garrick found it impossible to accept this defeat. He believed that if his dad wasnʼt so incompetent then this wouldnʼt have happened. Their Empire wasnʼt necessarily weaker than the Istarin Empire. ”What do you want?” Garrick asked in a stern tone. He did not look at the guard. He was completely uninterested in knowing what was going to happen to the Dune Sovereignty Empire now. Since they had lost, it was useless to have any hope for this Empireʼs future. He was lying on his bed and was staring at the cold polished metal ceiling. A small candle just outside his cell provided just enough light. It was better than the complete darkness that Garrick experienced in his first three days in prison. ”Your Royal Highness, today the Dune Sovereignty is about to have a new Ruler. The Coronation ceremony has already begun.” Hearing this, Garrick instantly stood up and looked towards the guard with a frowning look. ”What did you say?” He wanted to hear it again to make sure that he didnʼt hear him wrong. ”Itʼs the truth! The Whole Capital has prepared for this occasion. All nobles, generals, and even the Prime Minister of the Istarin Empire are here for the coronation.”

Hearing this, Garrickʼs frown turned into a look of confusion. Now that their Empire was defeated, instead of being annexed by the Istarin Empire, why is there a change in regime? It must have something to do with the Istarin Empire. Otherwise, the Prime Minister wouldnʼt be here. ”Who is it?” He genuinely looked curious. The guard hesitated for a second but replied. ”Itʼs your Her Royal Highness.”

”Itʼs my sister?” The guard nodded his head. At first, Garrick frowned. He felt that a useless sister of his wasnʼt fit to be a Ruler. But this was at least better than letting the Istarin Empire annex their Empire.

ʼSince the Istarin Empireʼs prime minister is here, this means, that my sister has joined their sides. She betrayed us!!!ʼ Realizing this, Garrickʼs eyes became colder.

After all, his sister had zero political power or influence. Without the support of the Istarin Empire, she would never become the next Ruler. So the conclusion was that she had allied herself with them. Bang.....!!!

Garrick angrily kicked the cell. The guard was startled and took a few steps back in fear. ʼDamn you!!ʼ ʼI should have killed that Bitch with my own hands when I had the chance.ʼ •••

Meanwhile, at the throne hall, There were thousands of people who came here for the coronation. For the first time in its history, there was about to be a New Ruler. She is the dark horse of the Flameheart Family. For centuries, it was considered a solid fact that Garrick was going to become the next Emperor. If it was a hundred years ago and someone had told the nobles that Princess Soraya would end up becoming the next Ruler, they would have laughed while rolling on the ground.

But unexpectedly, instead of the big brother, the eldest daughter of the Royal Family ended up becoming the next King. When the news of Soraya becoming the Next Ruler was announced by the representative of the Dune Sovereignty, it once again created shockwaves all around the six continents. Everyone was beyond shocked hearing this news.

Because no one in their right mind even considered Soraya to be a candidate if there was a scenario where the Istarin Empire did not want to annex the Dune Sovereignty and instead wanted to put a puppet to be its King. Yet it happened!!

Rather, it was happening!!!

Under everyoneʼs gazes, with a proud look, Soraya confidently walked towards the throne. It was the same throne that was exclusive to her father for more than 15000+ years, but now this throne was hers. But did she feel happy about becoming the Empress?

The answer cannot be given with just one word. She had to step up because there was no other suitable candidate. As much as she hated her brother and father, she did not want this beloved nation to fall. She did not want this great desert Empire to perish. She wanted to preserve this legacy that her father created. So as the only Flameheart available, she had to step up and take the Throne. After their last nightʼs very long conversation, she eventually earned Charlesʼs approval. Even Charles wanted to see his own daughter be the Empress rather than let someone outside take the throne. Their last nightʼs conversation went way better than they had expected. Charles saw a side of his daughter that he never thought he would see. He got to see a mature and responsible Soraya. He saw a side of Soraya that wasnʼt timid or shy but, was confident and proud of her legacy and heritage. In fact, after their last nightʼs conversation, Charles felt that Soraya deserved to be the new Ruler of this Empire even more than Garrick. Her ideals werenʼt too extreme. She was someone who valued peace but also wasnʼt someone who would let herself be pushed around. If necessary, she was more than ready to use violence. She is someone who cared deeply about the well-being of this Empire and its people. Unlike Charlesʼs cruel methods of ruling, Sorayaʼs approach and ideals were more gentle and more peaceful. Charles had now doubted that the people of Dune Sovereignty, under the backing of the Istarin Empire, would very quickly accept her as their new Ruler. Soraya stood in front of the throne while overlooking everyone. 『Soraya Flameheart is going to become our first Empress with the support of all the nobles, all the generals, and the Prime Minister of the Istarin Empire.』

『I want everyone to show their respect to our New Empress as the Crown of the Dune Sovereignty Empire is put on her head by Sir Spencer.』

Everyone put their right hand above their hearts and got to one knee while lowering their heads.

Only Spencer did not kneel.

He climbed the stairs with the Golden Crown of the Dune Sovereignty. ”I wish you success.” Soraya nodded with a small smile. Spencer put the Crown on her head and then stepped back. The reason he put the Crown on her head is to show others just how much the Istarin Empire backed her. It was a silent statement to the whole world that the Dune Sovereignty and the Istarin Empire were now allies. And this act marked the beginning of their long and lasting alliance. 『Long live Her Majesty!!』

From a certain corner of the Throne Hall, Charles watched everything with a small smile. He was in disguise, so no one recognized him. Right now, he was very proud of his daughter. There was no hate or jealous towards his daughter for taking his position. In fact, he felt that she was relieving him of his burdens and duties by taking his positon. He was grateful to his daughter to stepping up to save the Dune Sovereignty. ----------------

Really Thank you very much to all those who send support with valuable golden tickets. I hope we can keep it up!!!
