Medical and Martial God

Back at Qin Qing’s villa in the Abandoned City’s Clear Home Gardens.

Eagerly, Qin Qing asked, ”What’s wrong with you? Didn’t we agree to win over Taoism and join forces against the three major Judicator Families? Why the sudden change of plans?”

”The Taoist Leader is an old stick-in-the-mud, not easy to fool!” Ye Xiu shrugged with a sly smile. ”But think about it. I conquered Drunken Fairy Island and gave it to all the descendants of the prisoners. Even if they don’t want to be enemies with the three major Judicator Families, those families will never believe them. They are bound to send troops to attack Drunken Fairy Island, and at that point, the prisoner descendants will actively seek an alliance with me.”

After hearing this, Qin Qing sighed, ”It seems all the cunning in our family went to you.”

Ye Xiu was speechless.

Is this cunning? This is clearly wisdom!

「...」

Bruce had arranged for Tu La, Cha Muxue, and Lin Chuan to stay in a pitch-black, unlit hotel.

”Huang Quan told you to give us a warm welcome, and you’re serving us instant noodles?” Tu La raged, glaring as Bruce brought over three cups of instant noodles.

Bruce shrugged. ”You can complain to Huang Quan about me.” With that, he left.

Tu La was furious but completely powerless against Bruce. The main reason was that he couldn’t defeat Bruce right now. How infuriating!

”Lord Tu La, are we under house arrest here on Biluo Island?” Lin Chuan asked with a look of utter misery.

”Huang Quan probably has no intention of letting us leave here alive,” Cha Muxue said, his long, shovel-like face filled with worry.

Tu La, however, began to laugh. ”This just makes it easier for us to carry out our mission.”

Lin Chuan and Cha Muxue were stunned. Lin Chuan asked, ”What mission?”

After a moment’s hesitation, Tu La explained, ”Coming to Biluo Island to rescue Kristina is only one part of our mission. There are two other objectives.

”First, to capture Ye Xiu alive and bring him back to the three major Judicator Families. Second, to stall for time and lull the Martial Artists around the world into a false sense of security.”

Lin Chuan and Cha Muxue didn’t understand.

Lin Chuan asked, ”Who is Ye Xiu?”

Cha Muxue asked, ”What’s the point of stalling for time?”

”You don’t need to know who Ye Xiu is.” Tu La did not want to discuss Ye Xiu and continued, ”Right now, the lesser islands in the Eternal Islands are repairing their fighter jets, missile launchers, and naval vessels. Once those repairs are complete, Biluo Island will become a living hell, and everyone on it will be blown to pieces.”

Lin Chuan and Cha Muxue finally understood. Their mission was to buy time, to keep the Martial Artists on Biluo Island occupied and win more time for the repair crews.

Just then, a Thousand Paper Crane flew in through the window and landed on Tu La’s hand.

Tu La immediately unfolded it.

The paper was covered in words: ”Within a single day, the arsenals, ammunition depots, fighter jets, missile launch systems, and naval vessels on all the islands in the Eternal Islands were destroyed by a mysterious person...”

Reading this, Tu La felt as if his head had been hit by an atomic bomb. It was buzzing uncontrollably.

He was here to stall for time, but the plan was ruined before he could even begin? Who the hell did this? To have such great ability, sending countless people to infiltrate the arsenals, ammunition depots, launch centers, and naval bases of the various islands... And how did these people bypass the Formations to get onto each island?

”Lord Tu La, do we still need to stall for time?” Lin Chuan asked, his expression dark.

Cha Muxue’s shovel-like face was a mask of grief. All the high-powered weapons of the Eternal Kingdom had been destroyed.

Are they expecting the Martial Artists of the Eternal Islands to charge in with swords, and the soldiers from the lesser islands to come to Biluo Island with pistols and rifles to fight to the death?

”Keep reading...” Tu La said, his face grim as he continued to scan the message on the paper. ”The higher-ups of the three major Judicator Families have unanimously decided to activate their backup plan. They will send all the Mutated Beasts from every island to Biluo Island. Therefore, you still need to stall for time.”

After finishing, a smile once again bloomed on Tu La’s icy face.

He said, ”Over the years, the number of Mutated Beasts from failed experiments on the various islands has reached seven to eight million. However, the strongest among them are only at the Fourth or Fifth Realm.

”But if seven or eight million beasts are sent to Biluo Island all at once, hmph, that’s more than enough to give the Martial Artists there a run for their money.”

Lin Chuan and Cha Muxue felt no joy at this news.

Cha Muxue said, ”Transporting seven to eight million Mutated Beasts will create a huge disturbance and present a massive target. It will be very difficult to get them to Biluo Island. They’ll probably be intercepted on the way.”

Tu La gave a mysterious smile. ”Don’t worry. The Martial Artists on Biluo Island won’t even notice until the army of Mutated Beasts arrives.”

”You’re that confident?” Cha Muxue asked.

”Of course. The plan is foolproof!” Tu La said with immense confidence. ”Alright, finish your instant noodles and get some rest. We still have to negotiate with Huang Quan tomorrow. After the negotiations, I plan to have some fun in the Abandoned City. Hmph, I expect Taoism will launch a night raid on the city tonight...”

Lin Chuan picked up his cup. ”Bruce only gave us instant noodles. There’s no hot water.”

”He expects us to gnaw on them dry? Bruce is torturing us! I’m going to complain to Huang Quan about him,” Tu La roared.

「Early the next morning!」

Bruce sent someone to inform Tu La that the negotiations would be held in the Abandoned City.

Tu La’s eyes lit up. He had originally planned to go to the Abandoned City after the negotiations to check on the results of Taoism’s attack. He hadn’t expected the negotiations would take place there directly. That certainly saved him some trouble!

So, Tu La led Lin Chuan and Cha Muxue to the Abandoned City. They ran the entire way, so they arrived quickly.

However, after passing through the tunnel and entering the Abandoned City, Tu La, Lin Chuan, and Cha Muxue were utterly dumbfounded.

The streets of the Abandoned City were spotless, as if nothing at all had happened the previous night.

”What happened in the Abandoned City last night?” Tu La asked, stopping a young man on the street.

The young man looked at him in confusion. ”What could have happened?”

Tu La, Lin Chuan, and Cha Muxue exchanged glances. Could it be that Taoism didn’t attack last night after all?

Tu La said, ”I am the negotiation representative for the three major Judicator Families. Where is the meeting place?”

”Oh, so you’re the ones. I’ll take you there!”

The youth led the trio to Clear Home Gardens, stopping at Ye Xiu’s villa. ”They’re inside,” he said. ”You can go on in!” With that, he turned and left.

The three took a deep breath, trying to calm their nerves before meeting Huang Quan. They pushed open the courtyard gate and walked in.

Inside, they saw a tea table set up in the yard, where Ye Xiu and Kristina were drinking tea.

”Daddy...” Upon seeing Tu La, Kristina stood up excitedly and called out.

”Kristina!” Relieved to see Kristina unharmed and casually drinking tea, Tu La said, ”It’s good that you’re okay. As long as you’re okay!”

”I’m fine!” Kristina said happily. ”Daddy, did you come to the Abandoned City to rescue me?”

”Yes!” Tu La nodded.

Kristina suddenly pointed at Ye Xiu and said, ”Daddy, that’s Ye Xiu. Kill him, and we can go home.”
