Medical and Martial God

Kristina and Ming Yue were still in the sea, swimming strenuously toward Biluo Island.

Defeat was coming like a landslide. They could clearly see the ships carrying the world’s Martial Artists quickly catching up to Kristina’s army. There was nothing to be done; her men were in hand-rowed boats that couldn’t move fast. Some were even smashed to pieces by the larger vessels of the Martial Artists.

”Those wastes! All they do is run. Don’t they know how to fight back?” Kristina seethed, grinding her teeth.

The 200,000-strong army of Biluo Island, along with a motley force of 50,000 assembled from Patrol Officers, armed police, and urban management officials, were all armed. They had guns, grenades, mortars, rocket launchers, and the like. If they had laid down suppressing fire, they could have made the Martial Artists from around the world pay a heavy price. But they were only focused on escaping, even casting aside their weapons to flee faster.

”It’s a total rout; it’s all over. Even if some manage to escape, they won’t evade the hunt,” Ming Yue sighed.

”Sooner or later, I will lead a force of experts back here and slaughter them all,” Kristina said through gritted teeth.

Ming Yue was skeptical. She felt that Ye Xiu wouldn’t give Kristina that chance.

”What’s that?” Ming Yue suddenly exclaimed, pointing ahead.

Kristina looked and saw a dark figure dashing across the surface of the sea at an unbelievable speed, as if running on solid ground. In an instant, the figure was before them.

”Master?” Kristina recognized the figure and was instantly overjoyed.

Her master said nothing, simply grabbing Kristina and Ming Yue before running across the water to the shores of Biluo Island.

”Master, what are you doing here?” Kristina asked excitedly. ”Master, my people are being slaughtered! Please, hurry and help them!”

The one Kristina called Master was a beautiful, middle-aged woman dressed in black. Beautiful as she was, her expression and gaze were incredibly cold, as if she wore a mask of ice.

”Kristina, I allowed you to go out and experience the world, to temper your heart in the mortal realm so you could comprehend Supreme Oblivion. But look at yourself now. You have strayed further and further from it,” the middle-aged woman said, her face impassive. Her words were a reproach, yet her tone held no emotional fluctuation, its coldness making Ming Yue deeply uncomfortable.

”I...” Kristina was speechless. She had almost forgotten that she was practicing Supreme Oblivion.

”Return with me to the Heavenly Sect. This time, I will use a Secret Technique to force you to achieve Supreme Oblivion,” the middle-aged woman stated emotionlessly.

”Oh, I’ll listen to you, Master, but...” Kristina hesitated before finally speaking her mind. ”Ye Xiu is already on Biluo Island. Could you kill him first, and then take me back to the Heavenly Sect?”

”The one sent to kill him is already waiting in the Abandoned City,” the middle-aged woman replied.

Kristina’s eyes lit up. ”Who?”

”Yue Jinchuan!” the middle-aged woman said.

”Yue Longxuan’s father?” Kristina’s breathing quickened, and she burst out laughing. ”Haha, then Ye Xiu is definitely dead this time.”

Ye Xiu and An Dongye followed Qin Qing, Leng Yue, Dizang, Ye Liuyun, Tang Bo, and Dong Fangbai.

They arrived at Qingqing Homestead, the villa district in the Abandoned City where Qin Qing and Leng Yue lived. Just as they entered the area, Ye Xiu’s pupils constricted.

He sneered, ”Interesting. I’ve just arrived on Biluo Island, and the three major Judicator Families have already sent me an expert as a gift.”

”That would be Peppa Pig and the Great Sage,” Qin Qing said.

”It’s a person,” Ye Xiu said, pondering for a moment. ”This person is at the peak of the Sixth Realm, with half a foot already in the Seventh Realm. But the feeling he gives me is that of a full Seventh-Realm expert. It must be that his Special Abilities or his Totem’s Power surpasses his strength as a Martial Artist.”

Qin Qing and the others exchanged glances. He hasn’t even seen the person, yet he can sense their strength? He has to be talking nonsense, right?

”I’ll go in and take a look!” Leng Yue, who trusted Ye Xiu’s judgment without question, drew the Tiancong Cloud Sword, ready to scout ahead.

”No need. Let’s go in together,” Ye Xiu said, taking the lead into the villa district.

Qin Qing and the others drew their weapons, vigilantly scanning their surroundings as they followed closely behind Ye Xiu. Despite their immense strength, especially with Ye Xiu present, they knew well that caution is the parent of safety.

Soon, the group arrived at the villa where Qin Qing and Leng Yue lived. From a distance, they saw a refined-looking old man in a suit, sitting alone at a tea table set up by the villa’s main gate, leisurely drinking tea. Beside him lay a huge pig and a monkey.

”Peppa Pig! Great Sage!” Seeing them lying on the ground, their conditions unknown, Qin Qing grew anxious. She glared at the old man and demanded, ”Did you kill them?”

”No, no, why would I lower myself to the level of two animals? I simply knocked them out,” the old man replied with a smile, pouring himself more tea, never once looking up at Ye Xiu’s group.

Dong Fangbai was furious that the old man dared to be so arrogant in front of him. He proclaimed, ”With one fist, I can shatter the endless blue heavens; with one sword, I can cleave the river of stars!”

He was immensely pleased with himself for delivering his newly learned, impressive-sounding line. Ye Xiu, Qin Qing, and the others were amused by the ever-dramatic Dong Fangbai. That guy would try to act cool regardless of the time or place.

”Arrogant and ignorant,” the refined old man glanced up at Dong Fangbai with contempt. ”In my eyes, you are nothing but a posturing clown.”

”You...” Dong Fangbai flew into a rage and drew his sword, ready to fight. This old bastard dares to look down on me? He has to die. But then he remembered that he was likely no match for the old man, so he shouted, ”Don’t hold me back! I’m going to kill him! Nobody hold me back!”

The faces of Ye Xiu and the others darkened. Ye Xiu made a symbolic gesture of pulling on Dong Fangbai’s clothes. ”Don’t be impulsive, don’t be impulsive...”

”For your sake, I’ll spare his life today,” Dong Fangbai said, seizing the opportunity to back down.

Ye Xiu: ”...”

Qin Qing and the others: ”...”

”Hahahaha...” The old man burst out laughing. He looked up at Ye Xiu and asked, ”Is there something wrong with this young fellow’s head? Did you bring him to Biluo Island to seek medical treatment?”

Dong Fangbai was enraged again. ”Don’t hold me back! This time, nobody hold me back...”

”We’re not holding you back. Go on, kill him,” Ye Xiu said.

Stunned, Dong Fangbai stared at Ye Xiu, then squatted down in a fit of pique.

”Alright, enough fooling around,” the old man said, taking a sip of tea. He smiled at Ye Xiu and inquired, ”You must be Ye Xiu, right?”

”I am,” Ye Xiu nodded.

”Indeed, it is you.” Yue Jinchuan nodded in satisfaction. ”Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Yue Jinchuan. By all accounts, I suppose I am one of your enemies. Twenty-six years ago, I was ordered to go to Xuanse’s Yunluo City to find newborn test subjects. At first glance, I set my sights on you...”
