Medical and Martial God

Ye Xiu returned to Qin Qing’s home.

Qin Qing, Leng Yue, and Chloe were whispering among themselves.

”What are you talking about?” Ye Xiu asked.

Qin Qing said, ”Biluo Island currently has nothing but people. I’m thinking of opening a branch of the Zhulu Group here; it’s guaranteed to be extremely profitable. Moreover, we will eventually conquer the entire Eternal Kingdom, so you understand the benefits of preempting the market, right?”

Ye Xiu shrugged. ”I’ve already notified Gong Jin to issue a Huang Quan Order. Huang Quan and the Zhulu Group will partner to establish ’Zhulu Bank’ on Biluo Island, and it will be greenlit by banks globally.”

Qin Qing, Leng Yue, and Chloe looked at each other in dismay. Ye Xiu had actually thought ahead of them! And he took such drastic action, going directly for a bank!

Opening a bank on Biluo Island presented two major difficulties.

First, there was the issue of security. Biluo Island was a lawless warzone, filled with all sorts of characters. No matter who opened a bank, security would be the biggest problem. It would likely be robbed on its opening day. But with Huang Quan opening the bank, security was no longer a concern. Who would dare to rob Huang Quan’s bank? Unless they had a death wish!

Second, there was the issue of interfacing with every bank in the world. The people on Biluo Island came from all corners of the globe and had accounts with various banks. If the new bank didn’t connect with all of them, their bank cards would be useless. Normally, going through the proper channels to connect with every bank worldwide would take at least a year or two, with endless approvals eating up time. But things were different with Huang Quan opening the bank. Once the Huang Quan Order was issued, it was estimated that within a single day, every bank in the world would proactively complete the necessary procedures and dispatch couriers to deliver the contracts, documents, and approvals to the Zhulu Group Headquarters.

”Aren’t we getting involved in necessities like clothing, food, and housing, as well as manufacturing, industry, and transportation?” Qin Qing asked.

”We have to leave some paths for others!” Ye Xiu laughed. ”I’ve received word that many sharp-witted businessmen from the City Mansions of the nations surrounding Biluo Island have already started preparing, or are already on their way here.”

”Will they be in danger coming to Biluo Island?” Chloe asked. ”After all, this is a battlefield. Once the Eternal Kingdom invades in force, those ordinary people will be the first to die.”

”We can’t stop them!” Ye Xiu said with a bitter smile. ”Even if I issue an order in my capacity as Huang Quan, I can’t stop those adventurers with eyes stuffed full of money.”

Qin Qing, Leng Yue, and Chloe fell silent. Throughout history, there have been countless people who made their fortunes from war, snatching food from the tiger’s mouth. Biluo Island wasn’t even in conflict yet, but even if the fighting started, it wouldn’t stop those adventurers from coming to pan for gold. After all, fortune favors the bold. Without a spirit of adventure, one can never make a true fortune.

「The next day.」

Ye Xiu received a call from Gong Jin.

”Young Master, Bruce, the president of the Necromancers Association, proposed that the Black Water Nation Official Family notify all countries to form a medical team. It has now been assembled and they’ve all boarded a plane to Tamwood City. From there, they will take a ship to Biluo Island.”

”Only Xuanse refused to send a medical team, taking a very firm stance.”

At this, Gong Jin couldn’t help but laugh.

”Xuanse’s official statement was, ’Ye Xiu is the Xuanse Medicine King, our nation’s best doctor. He’s already on Biluo Island, so why do you need us to form another medical team?’”

”The Black Water Nation Official Family was furious but couldn’t find a single word to refute it.”

Ye Xiu chuckled. It seemed that with his strong backing, Xuanse was getting a bit carried away, now even daring to stand up to Black Water Nation.

Gong Jin continued, ”Also, the Official Families from every country have sent large groups of members, ostensibly as maintenance crews to help repair Biluo Island’s power stations, transportation infrastructure, networks, and so on.”

”In reality, these groups are full of technical experts, all of them aiming for the Eternal Kingdom’s advanced technology.”

”After all, the Eternal Kingdom’s technological level far surpasses the rest of the world’s, and they all want to get their hands on its technology.”

”Except for Xuanse. They didn’t send a single person.”

”The other Official Families are all secretly mocking the Xuanse Official Family for being short-sighted.”

Ye Xiu snorted coldly. Those countries mocking Xuanse won’t be laughing for long. He had long ago ordered You Ming to plunder all of the Eternal Kingdom’s high-tech data, which he then gifted to the Xuanse Official Family after having the original data destroyed. The most the other nations could get would be some physical equipment, like vehicles and machines, that they could haul back for slow research and reverse-engineering.

Gong Jin went on, ”Also, shrewd and daring entrepreneurs from all over the world have seen the business opportunities on Biluo Island and the Eternal Islands. They’re all sending people to grab a piece of the market!”

”Strangely enough, a lot of internet celebrities, drug dealers, beggars from various countries, mercenaries, and underground forces are also flocking to Biluo Island.”

Ye Xiu frowned. ”Biluo Island is a lawless land, a perfect cradle for black and gray industries. As for the internet celebrities, live-streaming from here can certainly attract traffic and make money, but they are purely seeking death.”

”Should we stop them?” Gong Jin asked.

”It’s unstoppable,” Ye Xiu replied with a wry smile. ”People die for wealth as birds die for food. For the high returns, they’ll find a way to sneak onto Biluo Island, even if I issue a direct order as Huang Quan.”

Hearing this from the side, Dizang’s eyes lit up.

”Amitabha. Not everyone needs to come, but the young ladies certainly must.”

Seeing Ye Xiu, Qin Qing, and Leng Yue looking at him with disdain, he quickly clasped his hands and explained, ”I’m speaking on behalf of Tang Bo and Dong Fangbai. Those two rascals love the ladies. Unlike me, of course. I never indulge in the company of women.”

Ye Xiu chuckled. ”Heh.”

Qin Qing added, ”Heh.”

Leng Yue followed suit. ”Heh.”

Chloe chimed in, ”Heh.”

From the other end of the phone, Gong Jin said, ”Heh.”

Dizang was left speechless. ”...”

Two days later, in the afternoon, Ye Xiu received a call from Bruce. The medical teams from the various countries had arrived, and Bruce asked him to come to the port to welcome them.

When Ye Xiu arrived at the port, he found Bruce and the leaders of the Martial Artist organizations from around the world all present.

Ye Xiu looked at Yan Long and said, ”Xuanse didn’t send a medical team. What are you doing here?”

”Hehe, I came to support you, Divine Doctor Ye,” Yan Long said with a sycophantic grin, a far cry from the domineering and unreasonable man Ye Xiu had first met.

Ye Xiu couldn’t be bothered with Yan Long.

Just then, Bruce came over with a grin that didn’t reach his eyes. ”Ye Xiu, although you are the chief in charge of the international medical teams, the doctors sent this time are all elites of the medical world, each one a proud individual. Getting them to acknowledge you as their leader might be a bit difficult.”

The leaders of the other Official Family Martial Artist organizations all looked at Ye Xiu with playful malice.

”So that’s it,” Ye Xiu said expressionlessly. ”I was wondering why all of you would show up to welcome the medical teams. You’re just here to watch me make a fool of myself.”

”NO, NO, NO,” Bruce waved his hand playfully. ”We’ve come to witness how Divine Doctor Ye conquers the medical elites from around the world.”

Truthfully, Ye Xiu wasn’t wrong; Bruce and his group had indeed come to see him be humiliated. After all, the arrivals were medical teams from all over the world, composed entirely of renowned figures in the global medical community. Conquering them would be a difficult task.

Just then, a large luxury cruise ship docked at the port.

Over a thousand doctors in white coats disembarked.

Just as Bruce and the others were waiting to watch Ye Xiu get embarrassed, a sudden cry of ”Teacher?” rang out.
