Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Following Song Jia managing to convince Mui to not run away immediately like she had done the first time they had ended up accidentally capturing the two brothers, she helped free the two from the vines that had captured the two. Ensuring that the vines themselves weren’t damaged in the process. After all, different from the first time, the strange plant that the vines were connected to this time around had been successful and had managed to grow two spiritual fruits.

If cutting the vines ended up severely damaging the plant, both Mui and Song Jia wouldn’t have any idea what to do with themselves. Having already used everything they had left and managed to gather over the last half year to create this special plant capable of producing spiritual fruits.

”So… You two are not from the Servant Quarters…?” But even with everything that had happened, Mui remained skeptical, as she cautiously asked Chen Qiu with a look that made a shiver run down the spine of the little wandering cultivator barely at the Middle Stage of the Foundation Establishment Realm.

Although unintentional, the scrutinizing gaze of someone in the Domain Lord Realm was downright terrifying to a little Foundation Establishment Realm cultivator, causing him to freeze on the spot. Unable to answer the question immediately before finally managing to calm himself enough to barely open his mouth.

”I- Y-Yes, w-we are just wandering cultivators, senior! Not someone from the… the… S-Servant Quarters that senior mentioned!” Gulping nervously after answering, Chen Qiu found himself staring fearfully up- or more accurately down at the not so tall Mui. Feeling that her gaze alone could end him at any given moment.

Even after having clarified his identity to the skeptical Mui, it was clear that she didn’t entirely believe what he was saying, something that only became clearer as she glanced towards his brother standing next to him for an answer as well.

However, unlike him, who had managed to just barely keep himself standing before answering the question with great difficulty, Mo He couldn’t resist the pressure that had been unconsciously released by Mui.

”I… I… I’m not, I-”

Thump~

Collapsing onto the ground after barely getting a few incomprehensible words out. Leaving Mui speechless, as she had no idea how the person, she had just asked a simple question ended up directly fainting in front of her.

”Mui…”

Only when Song Jia silently called out to her, did Mui realize that the pressure that she unconsciously released was behind the one standing in front of her fainting out of the blue.

Although he didn’t directly answer her question, the fact that he had ended up fainting just from the bit of pressure she had unconsciously released, was more than enough for her to conclude that Mo He shouldn’t be someone from the Servant Quarters of the sect.

After all, there was no way someone from the sect’s servant quarters would end up fainting just from the bit of pressure unconsciously released by someone in the Domain Lord Realm.

If that was really the case, there would be no way for a person like that to move around the Star Shattering Sect without fainting all over the place.

The only reason someone would so easily faint would be because they weren’t used to that kind of pressure bearing down on them, something that almost guaranteed that Mo He was a wandering cultivator and in turn also helped cement the fact that Chen Qiu was a wandering cultivator.

”So… Both are wandering cultivators?” With that in mind, Mui slowly turned towards Song Jia for extra confirmation.

”Yes, so we don’t have to worry about grandpa finding out…” And Song Jia almost couldn’t stop rolling her eyes at the still somewhat suspicious look in the eyes of her friend. Silently wondering if she seriously believed that her grandpa had somehow started hiring wandering cultivators to keep an eye on the two of them.

Although… With Mui’s imagination, it was entirely possible that she thought her grandpa could do something like that…

”Hm… I understand” Nodding her head slowly in response to what Song Jia said, Mui soon narrowed both her eyes as her gaze turned towards the still conscious Chen Qiu, causing a shiver to run down his spine. ”But… We can’t just leave them like this, or what happened might end up spreading among wandering cultivators before finding its way to Elder Song… So… There is only one way to prevent something like this from happening…!”

Feeling himself shivering all over after hearing what Mui said, it wasn’t difficult for a wandering cultivator like Chen Qiu to guess the underlying meaning of what she said. Preparing himself for what was about to happen, as he understood full well that there was no way for someone like himself to resist someone at Mui’s cultivation realm.

Even if he did have a few trump cards saved up over the years, they would at most be helpful in escaping from someone in the Core Formation Realm. Escaping from someone like Mui was completely out of the question with his current strength.

”Mui… I think our friend is forming some kind of misunderstanding after hearing what you said…”

”Huh? Misunderstanding? How? Isn’t it obvious that I plan to bribe- ehm, I mean, give him a few gifts of friendship so he won’t mention being accidentally captured by us?”

””…””

Hearing the words coming from Mui, Chen Qiu and Song Jia had a sudden moment of shared understanding as they made eye contact for a brief moment. Allowing Chen Qiu to understand that this senior called Mui was easy to misunderstand, while at the same time also making it clear to him that he wasn’t about to get killed off like he had originally been preparing himself for.

Instead, it seemed like this senior was far more reasonable than he had originally anticipated. Even planning to directly compensate the two of them for almost killing them the first time around and having captured them twice already.

With that in mind, the conversations that followed were far easier to get through, as Chen Qiu soon enough found himself alone in the forest with his still fainted brother lying on the ground next to him. The only difference from before being that he now had a detailed map of the Star Shattering Sect’s territory in one hand, while the other held the two spiritual fruits that had been attached to the strange spiritual plant that the two seniors had created and taken away with them.

To be honest, he would have been more than happy to just get out of the situation he and his brother found themselves in without dying, but in the end, he ended up not only getting a detailed map of the Star Shattering Sect’s territory, but also ended up being handed the two spiritual fruits by the senior called Song Jia.

Not because he specifically asked for the two spiritual fruits, but instead because the other party had felt that it was far too little for them to only give a map of the Star Shattering Sect’s territory.

And before he had been able to refuse, the two had already finished carefully digging up the unique spiritual plant and left. Leaving him with the map that was a unique artifact on its own and the two spiritual fruits.

All things considered, he and his brother both benefited a lot from this and the only requirement from the two was to not spread information about their experiments, something that neither of them had even thought about doing in the first place…

”Brother? What happened?”

By the time his brother got back up again, Chen Qiu had already consumed one of the two spiritual fruits and realized that they had a potent effect of enhancing his spiritual qi. Allowing him to establish a sixth foundational pillar inside his dantian and officially reach what was considered the Peak of the Middle Stage of the Foundation Establishment. Only a single step away from the Late Stage of the Foundation Establishment Realm.

Although part of him had wanted to consume the second spiritual fruit as well, he managed to hold himself back and handed it over to his brother after explaining the effects of the spiritual fruit to him. Understanding very well that this spiritual fruit would be crucial in helping his brother break through the barrier to the Middle Stage of the Foundation Establishment Realm and officially establish a fourth foundational pillar inside his dantian.

And unsurprisingly, his after consuming the spiritual fruit, his brother not only managed to establish a fourth foundational pillar inside his dantian, but the fifth had also started showing signs of forming, a clear sign he was already close to establishing a fifth foundational pillar.

In the end, the two brothers ended up benefiting significantly from this second encounter with Mui and Song Jia.

But maybe the most important thing wasn’t the two spiritual fruits, but instead the map that had been given to them, as although ordinary and rather useless inside the Star Shattering Sect, it was invaluable to wandering cultivators like themselves, as it contained detailed information on dangerous locations and locations where it would be easier to find spiritual herbs and other precious cultivation resources.

In other words, the map was perfect for the two and would ensure that they could settle down inside the territory of the Star Shattering Sect with relative ease. Not needing to slowly learn about different locations where they could find cultivation resources or things to sell for spirit stones.
