Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Knowing that it would at least take a few hours for Mui to get back, Xuan Hao decided against lingering around outside and instead decided to make his way back to his cultivation room to start the process of slowly refining the Stardusk Essence he had managed to obtain from the ancient alchemy sect ruins. Having handed over what he needed to shortly after he had returned to sect. Having Elder Song take care of most of its, while some of the more profession specific things he had managed to get his hands on were handed over to the different elders in charge of the sect’s profession halls, like Pei Yang from the Alchemy Hall and Gong Cheng for the Blacksmithing Hall.

In a way, the only one among the sect’s three major profession halls that lacked a solid backing was the Formation Hall, as the one in charge of the Formation Hall varied widely. Making it so that Elder Song was the one who managed to halls resources most of the time until someone managed to step up and properly distinguish themselves and take over the job of managing the Formation Hall of the sect, something that should happen whenever someone managed to successfully break through to the Saint Realm. In a way, the only reason why Pei Yang had managed to become the person in charge of the Alchemy Hall was due to his strength and the fact that he had managed to join the sect early on.

If he wanted to continue keeping his position in the future, he understood that he would also have to break through to the Saint Realm like Gong Cheng from the Blacksmithing Hall. Not that Pei Yang had anything against this kind of situation, as he was more than happy to put his everything into becoming a Saint Realm Alchemist. Happily diving into the countless Saint Realm recipes that had been brought back to the sect by Xuan Hao to further his comprehension of the Dao of Alchemy and gain a glimpse of the Saint Realm through these recipes.

But at the end of the day, the thing that was most beneficial to his comprehension of the Dao of Alchemy turned out to be the five alchemy artifacts that had been brought back to the sect from the ancient alchemy sect, as Pei Yang soon enough ended up burning through the contribution points he had been saving up so far to get a chance to make use of this magical set of artifacts that allowed someone below the Saint Realm, like himself, to experience the process of refining a Saint Realm Pill.

If not for how expensive it was to use these five alchemy artifacts because their usage required countless rare spiritual herbs and even Saint Grade Spiritual Herbs that sect had a limited supply of and was currently unable to produce, Pei Yang would have undoubtedly used all of his time on the five alchemy artifacts until he broke through to the Saint Realm. Instead, because of how expensive it was to use those artifacts, he ended up spending a significantly longer time pondering over the different Saint Realm Alchemy Recipes and only chose to use the five alchemy artifacts whenever he found himself hitting a bottleneck.

All that aside, back in his cultivation room, Xuan Hao found out that it was relatively simple to continue slowly absorbing the Stardusk Essence like he had done when he broke through to the Late Stage of the Sea Formation Realm. Allowing his spiritual sea to expand at a speed visible to the naked eye.

The only real problem he encountered was that he would only be able to expand his spiritual sea by 10 kilometers before he had stop and stabilize his spiritual sea for a few days.

Although… Compared to how long it would normally take to progress through the Sea Formation Realm, this kind of progress was terrifyingly fast and would only take him a few years to reach the limit of the Late Stage of the Sea Formation Realm and break through to the Peak of the Sea Formation Realm. After which, he would be able to smoothly progress into the Land Creation Realm.

As for the stability of his spiritual sea developing from the current wild sea state into a turbulent sea state… He didn’t believe he would have to worry about that until his spiritual sea expanded beyond the five-hundred-kilometer mark. Hopefully, before that could happen, he would have managed to further his comprehension of one of the Daos he had comprehended and help further stabilize his spiritual sea. Allowing it to continue rapidly expanding.

Speak of which, when it came to his comprehension breaking through in any of the Daos he had comprehended, the Dao of Formations might be the most likely for him to breakthrough in next, as he was already close to reaching the Perfection Realm in the Dao of Formations.

Now with the assistance of the Saint Realm Formation Master Inheritance from the system and the book of formations that he had managed to get his hands on from the old man from the Fallen Immortal Archipelago, he felt that it would only be a matter of time before he broke through to the Perfection Realm.

In a way, breaking through to the Perfection Realm in the Dao of Formations also meant that he might have a way to strengthen those four ancient dao seals located awfully close to the Star Shattering Sect. Potentially buying him and the sect some more time to grow before those seals inevitably ended up breaking. The second requirement for reaching the Large Success Realm in the Dao of Light had already been fulfilled and only breaking through to the Saint Realm as a Formation Master was required before he could attempt repairing the ancient seals.

In the process, he might also get a better idea about just how powerful this ancient being that had been split up and sealed across four different locations truly was. After all, though he had managed to gather some clues about the strength of this ancient being in the past, he didn’t really have any true idea about just how powerful it was.

Outside of that, he also wondered if it would be possible for him to communicate with the ancient being. Hoping that doing so might allow him to gain precious information on the past or even the Venerable Realm that came after the Profound Immortal Realm.

After all, even though he had already learnt about the existence of the Venerable Realm, he didn’t have any idea about how to break through to the realm nor what was so special about the realm outside of the fact those in the Venerable Realm were called great powers in the past. Standing just one step below the pinnacle. Not much different from those in the Land Creation Realm on the current Ewaria Continent.

In which case, those barely active beings at the Star Creation Realm who were the backbone of the strongest powers on the continent would be like those ancient Holy Lord Realm figures, being the ones truly in control of the continent without appearing.

Of course, this was still just his own guess about the situation, and he had no way to truly compare. After all, he still had no clue about what the Holy Lord Realm entailed nor if it was even a cultivation realm or just a title given to the most powerful figures in the past. For all he knew, those in the Holy Lord Realm could just be powerful Venerable Realm figures or even a realm two or three major realms beyond the Venerable Realm…

Shaking his head as he thought about this to himself, Xuan Hao found his attention being diverted towards the large wooden door leading into his cultivation realm, as he could clearly feel the presence of someone standing on the other side of the door.

”You may enter.”

”Yes!”

Swoosh~ Bang!

Not even a second after opening his mouth to call out for the one outside the door to enter, a loud bang echoed out through the cultivation room as the wooden door flew open.

However, Xuan Hao didn’t have time to worry about the poor door that had ended up suffering quiet bit, as his attention was drawn towards the small figure that had rushed inside, his youngest disciple, Mui… Or more specifically, his attention was drawn towards the small floating ball or cloud she had dragged, Baobao.

Since the strange creature had first been created by Mui, he hadn’t really seen it and had essentially left it for Mui to deal with as it didn’t seem to harm the sect but instead benefitted the sect through by constantly refining spiritual qi through some strange and unknown method that he had no clue about how it functioned.

Even now, with his far stronger divine sense and higher cultivation realm, he still couldn’t see through this strange creation of Mui, though, he did feel curious why she had brought it along with her to meet him, causing him to look down towards his little disciple with a somewhat questioning look on his face.
