Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Following Elder Song and the rest of the elders working together to figure out the rest of the locations that the excess spiritual water would go; it didn’t take long before the situation changed from dealing with the excess spiritual water to dealing with rebuilding of the different buildings that had ended up being destroyed in the flood. Focusing on the disciples before the elders, something that did end up making some of the more impatient elders rebuild their homes before the sect could get to helping them out. Saving the sect quite a few spirit stones like Elder Song had expected.

Xuan Hao found himself fully focused on comprehending the Dao of Formations.

Having already reached the Peak of the Large Success Realm and being in possession of a Saint Realm Formation Master Inheritance, he felt like his chance of breaking through to the Perfection Realm in the Dao of Formations and in turn also the Saint Realm, was growing closer with each passing second.

The Saint Realm Formation Master Inheritance he had obtained from the system not long ago proved crucial, as it helped him gain a far better understanding of the Saint Realm itself, while also giving him a strong foundation to rely on during his comprehension. Ensuring that he continued to slowly inch closer to the Perfection Realm.

The information on the Saint Realm not only pertaining to how to reach the realm, but also where the power from the Saint Realm stemmed from

In a sense, it was something like a golden core that would be formed inside the dantian and merge together with one’s soul.

Allowing someone at the lowest realm of the Saint Realm, the Third Heaven Saint Realm, to wield power comparable to someone in the Middle Stage of the Saint Realm, while someone at the Peak of the Saint Realm, the Great Saint Realm, had strength comparable to the Sea Formation Realm.

Overall, the Saint Realm could be divided into four sub realms, the Third Heaven Saint Realm, Second Heaven Saint Realm, First Heaven Saint Realm and Great Saint Realm. From weakest to strongest.

But maybe most important amidst the information contained inside the Saint Realm Formation Master Inheritance that he had managed to get his hands on from the system was the information that the core formed inside the dantian following one’s breakthrough to the Saint Realm could either be merged into one’s spiritual sea at the Sea Formation Realm or continuously nurtured from the Third Heaven Saint Realm to the Great Saint Realm, where one would need to give up their normal cultivation if one wanted to advance further along that path.

As for what was beyond the Great Saint Realm, he had no idea as there was no information about the realm beyond the Saint Realm in the inheritance. Only the simple mention that one would inevitably have to give up their normal cultivation to advance further.

Although… Given that the Great Saint Realm would already provide Sea Formation level strength, it wasn’t hard to guess that the realm that came after would either give strength comparable to the Land Creation Realm or potentially even the Star Creation Realm.

With that in mind, most who had the chance to break through to the Great Sain Realm and stood a chance at going further would most likely choose to continue following this path, but… For Xuan Hao, the only real choice he had was to merge the core that would be formed inside his dantian after reaching the Saint Realm to further enhance the foundation of his spiritual sea and speed up his breakthrough to the Peak of the Sea Formation Realm. After all, he had more than enough spiritual qi to grow his spiritual sea in the form of Stardusk Essence and only really needed his foundation to be strong enough to continue rapidly advancing.

Of course, improving the foundation of one’s spiritual sea and going further along the Saint Realm, one of those things being the ability of the special core in aiding a breakthrough to either from the Middle Stage of the Celestial Immortal Realm to the Late Stage of the Celestial Immortal Realm or even from the Break Dawn Realm to the Sea Formation Realm. Even having a certain effect on breaking through from the Peak of the Celestial Immortal Realm to the Celestial Lord Realm.

But maybe the most important of all, the special core could also serve as a core ingredient for a rare life extending pill that worked on someone in the Profound Immortal Realm, being able to extend their lifespan between 10.000 years to 20.000 years.

This last one being the most likely reason in hindsight why no Saint Realm professional had been able to exist outside the different major powers across the continent.

It wasn’t just because the different major powers wanted to monopolize the Saint Realm Professionals on the continent for themselves, but likely more so because the special core formed when someone broke through to the Saint Realm served as a core ingredient for a rare life extending pill that would even work for someone in the Profound Immortal Realm… And that meant it worked for someone in the Breaking Dawn Realm as much as some old monster in the Star Creation Realm.

In a way, Saint Realm Professionals seemed rather pitiful, as there were undoubtedly countless restrictions placed on them by the different major powers, they existed under to ensure they could harvest their special cores after their passing.

After all, while they might be extremely valuable to the existence of the different major powers. Especially Alchemists, Blacksmiths and Formation Masters, the lifespan of someone in the Saint Realm wasn’t exactly long compared to someone in the Profound Immortal Ream of the Celestial Immortal Realm. Only 10.000 years longer than someone in the Dao Seed Realm.

But then again, this was just his own thoughts on the situation after reading the inheritance he had managed to obtain from the system.

However, this kind of pill would undoubtedly be seen as demonic in the eyes of those different Saint Realm Professional, who would in turn have tried to eliminate it… And he highly doubted that there wouldn’t be some stronger individuals amongst those reaching the Saint Realm.

For all he knew, the lifespan extending pill using the special core of someone in the Saint Realm might have been lost to time or destroyed and no longer existed…

Rumble~

As these thoughts carelessly churned in the back of his mind for a split second before his attention returned to comprehending the Dao of Formations, Xuan Hao briefly heard a commotion taking place outside his home but chose to ignore it. Closing off all external sounds as he focused his full attention on dwelling deeper into the Dao of Formations. Attempting to gleam some insight from the countless miniscule formations he had witnessed linking up seamlessly with each other.

In the end, this path proved successful, as only after three days of focusing on trying to comprehend something from that seemingly seamless connection that had existed between the millions of miniscule formations constructed by his youngest disciple, he felt something click in the back of his mind as he felt his soul momentarily being elevated to a higher plane a his comprehension of the Dao of Formations surged for brief instant. Countless insight into different formation symbols and how to arrange them together into countless interlocking formations seamless.

Changing his mindset of a formation being made of a single whole to instead being made up of countless smaller formations interlocking with each other. Capable of easily being reproduced and replaced in case one link of the formation ended up being damaged without causing any real damage to the large formation.

This was in fact the main reason for a Saint Realm Formations ability to repair itself with ease that he hadn’t managed to see through in the past. Having originally believed that there was some kind of larger semi-conscious spirit managing the formation in the absence of a formation master- or maybe that wasn’t entirely untrue, as everyone’s path to the Saint Realm would be different and the formations constructed would ultimately differ depending on what someone comprehended while breaking through to the Saint Realm.

Whoosh~

And not a second after he felt himself stepping into the Perfection Realm in the Dao of Formations, he felt a small core forming inside his dantian. Hovering motionlessly in his dantian above his spiritual sea while emitting a soft light that seemed to be interwoven with countless small formation symbols that faded in and out of existence around the small core, that could more accurately be described as a brilliant white pearl given its size and appearance.

Along with it, Xuan Hao also felt a kind of strange power surge through his body. Not strong, but not weak either. Comparable to the Middle Stage of the Dao Seed Realm, though… That level of strength wasn’t exactly useful to him given his current cultivation realm.

As for the lack of flair and spectacle from a breakthrough to the Saint Realm that he had remembered from Gong Chen’s breakthrough to the Saint Realm, he began to suspect that it was either because his cultivation realm was far higher or the old man had secretly been putting up a show for him and Yi Min back then… And with how proud he had been of his breakthrough back then and the fact that he hadn’t really felt anything special happening after his breakthrough, he highly suspected that it was the latter over the former…
