Rebirth: The Courtyard Bride Is Cool and Radiant

Chapter 951: Chapter 955: Are You Confident?

In winter, the days are naturally short, so when Sister-in-law Lü came over, it was already past three. By the time they had prepared all the ingredients needed for tomorrow, it was getting dark: ”Sister-in-law Lü, thank goodness you came to help me. It doesn’t seem like much, but packing it up really takes time.”

The more Sister-in-law Lü chatted with Yunyi, the more she liked her: ”Sister-in-law, I heard the school is looking for substitute teachers. Do you want to give it a try?”

Yunyi continued packing without stopping: ”It’s going to be winter break soon, why would they be looking for substitute teachers now?”

Sister-in-law Lü helped Yunyi clean up: ”I heard that a teacher’s family had some issues, and he teaches quite a few classes, so they want to temporarily find someone competent to cover his classes.”

After washing her hands, Yunyi handed a towel to Sister-in-law Lü: ”Sister-in-law Lü, I took part in this year’s college entrance exam and am waiting for the results, so I won’t get involved in this.”

Sister-in-law Lü’s eyes lit up upon hearing Yunyi’s words: ”You took part in this year’s college entrance exam?”

Yunyi nodded gently: ”Yes.”

Sister-in-law Lü’s face was full of admiration: ”How did you do? Do you think you did well?”

Yunyi smiled softly: ”I think I did pretty well.”

”Sister-in-law, you’re remarkable. There are people in our family compound who also took the college entrance exam. It seems Commander Qi’s wife, Jiang Yuwei, also took the exam. I wonder how she did?”

”By the way, which university did you apply to?”

”Beijing Medical College.”

”Sister-in-law, do you understand medicine?”

”My grandfather and mother are both doctors, so I learned a bit from them since I was young. Later, I studied under my mentor for a while. When the college entrance exam was reinstated, I thought about studying medicine.”

”Can you diagnose illnesses now?”

”After going to the countryside, I’ve been working in military medical services.”

”Sister-in-law, can you take a look at me then?”

She added, a little embarrassed: ”After I had Xiaowei, there’s been no movement in my belly. I even went to see a doctor a few days ago, but I’ve taken so many Western and Chinese medicines I’m about to puke, yet there’s still no movement.

Mingliang feels sorry for me and doesn’t want me to suffer anymore. He even jokes that having Xiaowei alone is fine, at least all the family assets are his, and no one will fight him for it.”

At this point, Sister-in-law Lü’s face didn’t show a smile; it was full of guilt: ”I’m as strong as a bull, but for some reason, I simply can’t get pregnant.”

Once she finished talking, she remembered Yunyi was newly married and said a bit shyly: ”Look at my mouth.”

Yunyi didn’t let her continue: ”Sister-in-law, extend your hand, and I’ll check your pulse.”

Wan Ruhua swiftly extended her hand, watching Yunyi frown at times, then ponder: ”Sister-in-law, how is it?”

After quite a while, Yunyi spoke: ”Sister-in-law, I suspect you have a blocked fallopian tube. To confirm, you should go to a big hospital for an examination since this can’t be detected through pulse-checking. It’s just a deduction based on your body’s condition.

Previously, when you went for a hospital check-up, what did the doctor say?”

Wan Ruhua looked at Yunyi with complete trust: ”I’ve been to the hospital a lot before, and indeed, some doctors said the same thing as you. They also prescribed some medication for me, but it had no effect, and I eventually stopped taking it.”

Yunyi switched hands and checked her pulse again: ”Sister-in-law, come inside with me and lie down. I’ll do another check-up.”

The two went inside, and Yunyi checked Wan Ruhua’s abdomen again: ”Sister-in-law, find time to ask the hospital if they can perform a fallopian tube fluid infusion test for further diagnosis, for precise treatment.”
