Rebirth: The Courtyard Bride Is Cool and Radiant

Chapter 959: Chapter 963: Pregnancy Announcement

Jiang Jingya caught up and saw this scene, not only worried but also joyful in her eyes: ”Yiyi, are you pregnant?”

Yunyi calmed down and immediately checked her pulse.

Jiang Jingya’s heart was racing: ”How is it?”

Yunyi nodded: ”I am indeed pregnant.”

Even though Huo Jingrui was mentally prepared, he still jumped in excitement upon hearing the news and hugged Yunyi: ”Yi’er, thank you, you’ve worked hard.”

Jiang Jingya was overjoyed, as this was something she had been hoping for: ”I must call your dad.”

Saying this, she ran to the living room, her hand trembling as she held the receiver, not from fear, but excitement: ”Hello, Shanhe, you’re going to be a grandfather.”

Huo Shanhe picked up the phone, and before he asked who was calling, he heard his wife’s joyous voice, momentarily not registering, he asked: ”What?”

Jiang Jingya was not upset: ”I said you’re going to be a grandfather, no, you’re going to be a grandfather again, Yiyi is pregnant, I’m going to be a grandmother.”

Although Huo Shanhe already had a good number of grandchildren, hearing his youngest daughter-in-law is pregnant made him quite happy: ”Well, that’s wonderful, really wonderful.”

Knowing he’s busy, Jiang Jingya didn’t want to take up more of his time: ”Alright, I won’t hold you up with work, I’ll hang up now.”

If not for the fact that a pregnant woman in the first three months should not tell too many people, she would have wanted to inform everyone she knew.

At this moment, Yunyi also calmed down, and Auntie Zhang had already taken that fish soup away.

Returning to the dining table, both Jiang Jingya and Huo Jingrui watched her expressions attentively.

Seeing that she wasn’t feeling nauseous anymore, they both breathed a sigh of relief.

After dinner, Jiang Jingya spoke: ”Shouldn’t we inform your mom and dad about this?”

Yunyi nodded and said: ”It’s convenient, we’re going to the Zeng Family this afternoon, and mom’s workplace is on the way, so I can stop by and tell her.”

Seeing Yunyi has it all planned out, Jiang Jingya didn’t say anything else, only showing excitement: ”Next, I’ll start preparing things for the baby.”

Yunyi smiled and agreed: ”Thank you, Mom.”

She certainly wouldn’t be completely hands-off, but since she’s going to school soon, she probably won’t have that much energy.

She asked Huo Jingrui to bring over the wicker basket he had previously fetched: ”Mom, these are the skincare products you requested, I’ve made them all.”

Jiang Jingya was even happier: ”Yiyi, you wouldn’t know, but these skincare products have helped me a lot, not only earning money but also maintaining relationships, truly killing two birds with one stone.”

Seeing Jiang Jingya happy, Yunyi said: ”Helping Mom is the best thing.”

Jiang Jingya ran upstairs and brought down a savings book: ”Take this savings book, every time there’s money, I’ll deposit it into this account.”

Yunyi opened it and saw three deposits already in it: ”Mom, you can keep the savings book here, I’m not in a hurry to use the money anyway.”

Jiang Jingya thought for a moment: ”Alright, since the account is under your name, whenever you need money, ask me for the savings book.”

The couple left the compound and drove to the Municipal Cultural Work Troupe: ”Hello, we’re looking for Xia Dongxue.”

The gatekeeper opened the small window: ”Who are you to her?”

Huo Jingrui passed a cigarette through the small window: ”Her daughter and son-in-law.”

The gatekeeper hurriedly made a phone call upon hearing they were Xia Dongxue’s daughter and son-in-law: ”Director Xia, your daughter and son-in-law are at the gate.”

Xia Dongxue hung up the phone and rushed out: ”Yiyi, Jingrui, why have you come?”

Yunyi replied: ”There’s a banquet at the Zeng Family tonight, we were invited earlier, and since it’s on the way, we decided to stop by.”

Even though they weren’t there specifically to see her, hearing Yunyi’s words made Xia Dongxue very happy: ”Let me register, and then we can go in.”

Yunyi reached out to stop her: ”Mom, we won’t go in, we’re just passing by to see you.”

She then handed a bag of tangerines over: ”Give these tangerines to Wenyang.”

Xia Dongxue initially wanted to refuse, but remembering her relationship with her youngest son had just improved, and recognizing Yunyi’s goodwill, she accepted them.

Yunyi leaned closer and whispered: ”Mom, I have some good news to tell you.”

Xia Dongxue saw her daughter smiling: ”Did you receive the acceptance letter?”

Yunyi waved her hand: ”No.”

Xia Dongxue, looking puzzled: ”Then what is it?”

Yunyi leaned towards her ear: ”I’m pregnant, you’re going to be a Grandma.”
