We Agreed On Experiencing Life, So Why Did You Immortals Become Real?

Chapter 312: Because Iʼm Also Thinking of You

”Xiao Mo, Xiao Mo, I came to play with you~”

A childish voice reached Xiao Moʼs ears.

The children at the training ground all turned to look. A little girl dressed in luxurious clothes and delicate as carved jade happily ran toward Xiao Mo.

The little girl ran in front of Xiao Mo, then came to an abrupt stop, her small hands constantly waving. After finally stabilizing herself, she blinked her eyes at Xiao Mo, her bright, limpid eyes full of joy.

”Her Highness the Princess.” Xiao Mo held his spear and bowed in courtesy.

”Xiao Mo, we havenʼt seen each other for many days. Did you miss me?” Qin Siyao said happily.

”Naturally, I did.”

Xiao Mo smiled and nodded.

Xiao Mo wasnʼt deceiving Qin Siyao.

A few days ago, when Xiao Mo lay in bed recuperating from his injuries with nothing to do, he indeed occasionally thought of this cute and innocent girl.
”Really?” Qin Siyao asked again.

”Naturally, itʼs true.” Xiao Mo replied.

”Hehehe, thatʼs wonderful. You miss me, and I miss you, so weʼre even. Otherwise, if only I think of you every day, that would be too unfair.” Qin Siyaoʼs eyes curved like a pair of little crescents.

”Elder Brother, who is this little sister?”

Just then, Xiao Yang and the others stepped forward to ask.

This was the first time they had seen such a beautiful little girl, much prettier than their own sisters.

”I already called her Princess. Who do you think she is?” Xiao Mo introduced her to his little followers, ”This is our Qin Kingdomʼs Third Princess.”

”?” Everyone was stunned for a moment, then hurriedly bowed in the manner of their elders, ”We pay our respects to Her Highness the Princess.”

”Thereʼs no need for such formality.” Qin Siyao waved her hand cheerfully.

”Also, Xiao Mo, donʼt call me Her Highness the Princess anymore. Weʼre friends, just call me Siyao.” Qin Siyao said to Xiao Mo.

”Her Highness the Princess... this... might not be quite appropriate.” Xiao Mo politely declined.

”Itʼs fine, itʼs fine. Quickly, call me Siyao. Arenʼt we friends? If you donʼt call me Siyao, it means you donʼt recognize me as a friend, and Iʼll tell Father Emperor that you bullied me.” Qin Siyao looked at Xiao Mo expectantly.

”Then this subject will be presumptuous.” Xiao Mo could only go along with this little girlʼs temperament and called out softly, ”Siyao.”

Hearing someone outside her family call her name for the first time, Qin Siyao was momentarily stunned, then her smile bloomed like a little flower as she emphatically responded, ”Yes!”

The Xiao Manor disciples on the side saw how good the relationship between Elder Brother and the Third Princess was, and admired Elder Brother even more in their hearts.

Perhaps in the future, the Third Princess might even give Elder Brother a high official position and these little followers who mixed with Elder Brother could become minor officials.

Huang Shan watched the innocent conversation between Xiao Mo and this little princess, also revealing a fond smile, feeling that children were quite amusing and interesting. However, this boy was truly remarkable.

He had only been the little princessʼs guard for one day, yet she had already come looking for him.

Not bad, not bad. He has the style I had back in the day.

”Alright, everyone disperse.” Huang Shan clapped his hands, ”Xiao Mo, donʼt practice the God-Slaying Spear after you return, otherwise your body wonʼt be able to handle it. Understood?”

”Yes, Master.” Xiao Mo replied.

Huang Shan tossed the spear in his hand back onto the wooden rack, then swaggered away from the training ground.

The other Xiao family disciples still wanted to chat with Her Highness the Princess. After all, Her Highness the Princess couldnʼt be seen at any time, but they didnʼt want to disturb Elder Brother and Her Highness the Princess, so they could only leave one after another.

”Xiao Mo, letʼs go play together?” Qin Siyao said happily.

”Thatʼs not impossible, but Your Highness the Prin...”

”Stare~~~~”

When Xiao Mo was about to say ”Her Highness the Princess,” Qin Siyaoʼs eyes half-narrowed as she stared at Xiao Mo, her pink cheeks puffing up.

”But Siyao.” Xiao Mo corrected himself, ”I need to go back first and tell my mother, otherwise my mother will worry.”

”?” Qin Siyao blinked her eyes, looking a bit nervous, ”Do I have to go meet your mother, Xiao Mo? But Xiao Mo, I didnʼt bring a gift today. Wouldnʼt that be too impolite?”

”Siyao, you can wait for me. You donʼt have to come with me. Of course, itʼs also fine if you come with me. My mother wonʼt mind.” Xiao Mo smiled inwardly, thinking, I didnʼt ask you to come with me.

”Emmm... Xiao Mo, wait a moment...”

Qin Siyao thought for a bit.

Then she searched around in her sleeves and on her body.

Finally, Qin Siyao actually found a small bead, ”This little bead was given to me by Father Emperor to play with. It glows at night and can illuminate an entire room. Iʼll give this to your mother. Is that okay?”

”Wonʼt this be too valuable?”

”Itʼs fine, itʼs not valuable. I have more than ten beads like this.” Qin Siyao waved her little sleeve.

”...” Xiao Mo looked toward the maid who had been following beside Qin Siyao.

The maid immediately understood Xiao Moʼs intention, knowing he wanted her to persuade Her Highness the Princess.

The maid named Huasheng found this eight-year-old child quite interesting.

She felt he was sensible like a little adult.

”Young Master Xiao, rest assured. This little luminous pearl is indeed not too valuable.” Huasheng said.

”Alright then.” Xiao Mo nodded, ”Then Siyao, letʼs go.”

”Yay!”

Qin Siyao happily followed behind Xiao Mo, her little feet hopping.

Soon, Xiao Mo brought Qin Siyao to the outside of his familyʼs courtyard.

Because it was already evening, cooking smoke had long risen from the little courtyard. Zhou Ruoxi and Cuicui were cooking in the kitchen.

”Mother, Iʼm back.”

Xiao Mo called out toward the kitchen.

”Moʼer is back.”

Zhou Ruoxi wiped her hands and came out.

”? Moʼer, who is this little girl?”

Seeing the little girl following beside her child, Zhou Ruoxi blinked.

Whatʼs going on?

How did Moʼer bring a little girl home?

Speaking of which, this little girl is truly beautiful, delicate as carved jade, like a porcelain doll.

Although young, she was already a beauty in the making and judging from her clothing, Zhou Ruoxi knew her identity was certainly not simple.

”Mother, this is the Third Princess Qin Siyao. She came to play with this child.” Xiao Mo explained.

”So itʼs Her Highness the Princess. This woman has been discourteous.”

Zhou Ruoxi hurriedly curtsied.

”Auntie, please donʼt do this. You are an elder. It should be Siyao who bows to you.”

Qin Siyao stepped forward and returned the courtesy somewhat nervously.

Xiao Mo watched Qin Siyaoʼs polite manner and felt quite emotional in his heart.

He knew the Qin Kingdom’s ruler doted on this daughter very much, yet she was not only not arrogant or rude, but also had such good manners and upbringing.

Her mother empress probably disciplined her quite often.

Zhou Ruoxi was also somewhat surprised.

She didnʼt expect this little princess to be so sensible, and to be so beautiful. She was truly very likeable.

”Auntie, Siyao came this time without bringing any gifts. I can only give this to Auntie. Please donʼt disdain it, Auntie.” Qin Siyao held out the small luminous pearl with both hands.

”This, Her Highness the Princess, this is too valuable...” Zhou Ruoxi hurriedly shook her head.

Previously, when Zhou Ruoxi was in Yunhui City, she had seen small luminous pearls before. They could not only serve as decorations but could even be used in medicine. One was worth more than a hundred taels of gold.

”Auntie, please accept it. This is Siyaoʼs sincere gesture.” Qin Siyao held the small luminous pearl even higher.

”Madam, please accept it. If Madam doesnʼt accept it, when the Empress learns of this, she will also say Her Highness the Princess was discourteous.” The maid standing to the side said with a smile.

”Yes, yes.” Qin Siyao hurriedly nodded, ”My mother empress is quite fierce. If Auntie doesnʼt accept it, Siyao will be scolded again when I return.”

”Then... then alright... This woman thanks Her Highness the Princess.”

Zhou Ruoxi could only accept it first, then look for an opportunity later to see if she could have her son return it.

”Auntie, just call me Siyao. Xiao Mo also calls me Siyao.” Qin Siyao said sweetly, ”By the way, Auntie, can I take Xiao Mo to play in the imperial capital later?”

”Naturally, you may. However, if Her Highness the Princess doesnʼt mind, would you like to eat dinner before going?”

Zhou Ruoxi was actually just being polite, because the other party might not eat her simple meal. But since it was already evening, if she didnʼt invite the guest to dine, it would be discourteous instead.

”Sister Huasheng, can I eat dinner together with Auntie and Xiao Mo?”

Qin Siyao looked eagerly at her personal maid beside her, shaking her sleeve and pleading.

”Naturally, you may.” The maid named Huasheng nodded.

”Yay.” Qin Siyao jumped happily, ”Then Auntie, Siyao wonʼt be polite.”

”Her Highness the Princess, you flatter me. Please take a seat, Your Highness. This woman will go bring out the dishes.”

The more Zhou Ruoxi looked at this little girlʼs well-behaved appearance, the more she liked her.

Before long, several dishes were brought out from the kitchen.

Qin Siyao ate with great novelty, taking small bites, like a little lady.

”Auntie, the food you cook is so delicious, much better than what the imperial chefs in the palace cook.” Qin Siyao praised from the heart.

”Perhaps Her Highness the Princess finds it fresh. If itʼs tasty, Her Highness the Princess should eat more.” Zhou Ruoxi moved the dish Qin Siyao had taken the most from closer to her.

”Mm-hmm.” Qin Siyao responded and continued to bury her head in eating.

Xiao Mo discovered that although this little princess ate slowly, bite by bite, her appetite was truly not small. She was just like a little glutton.

An incense stickʼs time later, Qin Siyao finished dinner. After saying goodbye to Auntie, she pulled Xiao Moʼs little hand and ran outside the Xiao Manor.

The two children walked through the imperial capital, while the maid Huasheng followed behind them, leaving space for the two little ones to be alone.

Although the maid Huasheng kept a smile on her face and looked like just an ordinary woman, Xiao Mo could vaguely sense that her divine sense extended very far, and he couldnʼt see through her realm at all.

This maid was probably not simple.

”Sister Huasheng, why wouldnʼt Auntie call me Siyao?”

Walking on the street, Qin Siyao asked curiously.

”Because Her Highness the Princess has a special status, and the Xiao Manor has strict family rules. Madam Zhou cannot be discourteous. However, Young Master Xiao and Her Highness the Princess are both children. Even if you address each other by name, no one will mind.” Huasheng answered.

”Oh...”

Qin Siyao nodded as if she understood.

Although the little girl was somewhat disappointed, very quickly she was attracted by the liveliness of the imperial capital.

”Xiao Mo, whatʼs that?”

”Thatʼs candied hawthorn.”

”What about that?”

”Thatʼs braised goose.”

”Xiao Mo, what about that?”

”Thatʼs an inn, a place for lodging and eating.”

”Xiao Mo, is that also an inn?” The little girl asked again, ”Why are those big sisters wearing so little? Arenʼt they embarrassed?”

”This...” Looking at the brothel, Xiao Mo didnʼt know how to explain either. He could only play dumb, ”I donʼt know either, but my mother said itʼs not a good place. She never lets me go.”

”I see...”

Qin Siyao was still somewhat curious in her heart, but she didnʼt dwell on it and continued hopping happily along the street.

On the main street, Qin Siyao looked left and right.

When she saw something delicious, she bought it.

Her little belly became round and full.

When she saw acrobatic performances, Qin Siyao couldnʼt move.

She watched the performance, constantly clapping her little hands, and was extremely generous with tips.

Those martial artists wished they could kowtow several times to this wealthy familyʼs little girl.

When they encountered an old man making clay figurines by the roadside, Qin Siyao happily pulled Xiao Mo over.

”Little girl, would you like a clay figurine? Five wen each.” The old man said with a smile.

”Grandpa, can I make one myself?” Qin Siyao asked.

”Naturally, you can.” The old man was even happier, as he would collect money without having to work.

The maid Huasheng counted out five wen from her purse and gave it to the old man. Then Qin Siyao squatted on the ground and earnestly began molding.

An incense stickʼs time later, the little girl held up the small clay figurine she had made and asked happily, ”Xiao Mo, guess who this is?”

Looking at this rather abstract clay figurine, Xiao Mo could only tell she had molded what should be a human, ”Is it Sister Huasheng?”

”No, guess again.”

”Is it me?”

”Itʼs not that either. Guess again.”

”Then is it the two princes?”

”No, no.” Qin Siyao pouted her little mouth, looked at the clay figurine she had made, and muttered softly, ”Is it really that ugly?”

”Forget it, letʼs stop guessing. Letʼs continue playing.”

Perhaps Qin Siyao felt the clay figurine she made was indeed a bit ugly. She quickly put it away and continued pulling Xiao Mo forward.

Before long, the sky darkened, and every household hung up lanterns.

The little girl stepped on her shadow under the lanterns, hopping like a little rabbit.

In short, for the little girl coming out of the palace for the first time, everything was novel.

”Her Highness the Princess, we should return.”

Before they knew it, it was the hour of hai. The maid Huasheng said to her princess.

”Oh... alright...”

Qin Siyao lowered her head. Although she hadnʼt played enough, she didnʼt dare refuse, otherwise Mother wouldnʼt let her come out anymore.

”Xiao Mo, I have to go back...” Qin Siyaoʼs eyes looking at Xiao Mo were full of reluctance.

”Her Highness the Princess, please take care.” Xiao Mo cupped his fists in courtesy.

The little girl reluctantly turned around, looking back every three steps as she walked toward the carriage not far away.

Just as she was about to board the carriage, the little girl seemed to think of something and ran back in front of Xiao Mo, asking, ”Xiao Mo, will you miss me?”

”Naturally, I will.” Xiao Mo replied.

”Then this is for you.” The little girl took the small clay figurine from her small cloth bag and handed it to Xiao Mo.

”For me?” Xiao Mo was stunned.

”Yes.”

The little girl nodded.

”This clay figurine isnʼt of someone else, but of me. Itʼs my gift to you. When you miss me, look at this clay figurine and silently recite my name. Maybe Iʼll know youʼre thinking of me, and then Iʼll come to see you.”

”I see.” Xiao Mo accepted the clay figurine and smiled, ”Then what if Her Highness the Princess doesnʼt come?”

”If I donʼt come, you still wonʼt lose out.”

”Why?” Xiao Mo asked curiously.

The little girlʼs eyes curved, ”Because Iʼm also thinking of you.”
