I am the Ultimate Villain, So What If I Kill a Protagonist

88: Chapter 88 This family head is a bit useless.”Damn system, what use are you!”

Unable to rely on the system at a critical moment, Zhang Yang started cursing.

”Ding! Detected host cursing the system. Issuing a warning to the host. If you offend again, the punishment mechanism will definitely be activated.”

”What? It’s useless, and you dare to punish me? If you have the guts, do it. I want to see how you punish me.”

Furious, Zhang Yang started ranting directly.

”Ding! Detected host cursing the system again. Activating punishment mechanism immediately. Issuing a ten-minute electric shock warning to the host.”

Damn it!

Ten minutes of electric shock?

Is this trying to take my life?

”System, Lord System, I was wrong. Please let me go, I won’t dare do it again.”

After hearing the system’s punishment, Zhang Yang finally realized his mistake.

He shouldn’t have offended Lord System.

In order to avoid further suffering, Zhang Yang could only soften his stance, begging Lord System to be magnanimous and forgive his petty transgression.

”Ding! Punishment starting.”

Zhang Yang’s God-level Food Delivery System was just the lowest-level system; it had no thought or intelligence, and everything followed the system’s preset procedures.

No matter how Zhang Yang begged for mercy, the system ignored him.

”Ah...”

Zhang Yang only felt several currents surging through his body, as if his internal organs were about to be charred, and he let out a painful wail.

At this moment, he really wanted to cry but had no tears; he only blamed his own mouth for courting death.

Of all people to offend, he had to offend his gold-daddy.

A simple sentence caused him to enjoy a ten-minute electrotherapy experience.

Chu Yuan did not know that Zhang Yang was enjoying an electrotherapy package.

He learned from Zuo Shishi that Zhang Yang had been beaten up by Mo Chou.

”How is that brat Zhang Yang?”

”According to news from the hospital, that guy is seriously injured, with several fractures. However, his physical fitness is much better than others, so after resting for ten days or so, he should be able to walk.”

Zuo Shishi reported, then suddenly thought of something and added, ”Should we notify Mo Chou to leave the Magic City temporarily to avoid trouble?”

”No need. With the capability of my Chu Family, do we need to hide from such a small matter?”

Chu Yuan had nothing to worry about regarding such a small matter.

A thousand-year family is not just empty talk.

A small incident of beating someone up—could they not handle it well, or would they be hounded over it?

Zhang Yang would need ten more days to recover, which meant that during this period, the brat couldn’t deliver food.

Chu Yuan felt a little regret; Mo Chou’s attack was truly heartless.

Why beat that brat half to death, letting him lie easily in the hospital for ten days?

He didn’t know who had ordered Mo Chou originally to beat him as hard as possible as long as he didn’t die.

The person was just firmly executing the order.

Hearing the report from the monk Jiesha, the first thing Shen Wen did after becoming the Shen Family head was to order the Shen Family to spare no effort in continuing to attack the Tianlong Group, and he even set his sights on the Chu Family.

Chu Yuan was speechless.

Isn’t it just that he was cuckolded a few times? Is it necessary to chase after this young master like a mad dog?

Do you believe that if you make me angry, I will send you to meet your unlucky father ahead of schedule?

”This monk has also advised him, but after that guy became the family head, he completely got carried away and ignored even my words.”

”As long as Young Master gives the word, this monk will teach him how to behave properly.”

The monk Jiesha pressed his palms together and sighed.

This rebellious son, Shen Wen, was becoming more and more traitorous.

If it weren’t for his young master’s plan, he would definitely use Buddhist dharma to deliver this rebellious son to the afterlife.

”Since that guy wants to play, let him be.”

”If he is allowed to act recklessly, will it affect you, Young Master?”

”Affect me? You think too highly of that trash.”

”The reason he was able to become the family head is simply because everyone in the Shen Family felt that Shen Wen had no power or influence, making him easy for them to control.”

”Coupled with the fact that the Shen Family feared your strength, after weighing both sides, they let him pick up a bargain.”

”After Shen Wen took office, if he could make even a little contribution, perhaps he could buy the hearts of the Shen Family.”

”But now, he still wants to spare no effort to deal with me. Does he think the people of the Shen Family are fools who would help him do such stupid things?”

Regarding a fool like Shen Wen, Chu Yuan didn’t care.

No matter how much an ant makes a fuss, it cannot cause the slightest harm to an eagle in the sky.

”You bunch of trash, you can’t even handle such a small matter. What is the use of me supporting you?”

In the office, Shen Wen was furious, and all the documents on the desk were swept to the floor by him.

After becoming the family head, reality taught him a harsh lesson.

Everyone in the Shen Family chose to ignore all the requests and opinions he put forward.

Even if they agreed on the surface, they were hypocritical in private, ignoring and not executing them.

His proposal to spare no effort in dealing with the Tianlong Group and Chu Yuan was not only rejected without hesitation by the Shen Family members, but he was even met with ridicule.

The reason was simple: dealing with the Tianlong Group was thankless work. Not only was there no profit, but if they were cleaned up by the Chu Family, they would lose more than they gained.

There were rumors within the Shen Family that because Chu Yuan had cuckolded Shen Wen, Shen Wen wanted to use the Shen Family’s power to settle a personal vendetta.

Everyone in the Shen Family knew that Shen Wen was not just a useless live-in son-in-law, but had also become a cuckolded laughingstock.

Not only the Shen Family members, but everyone in the Shen Group didn’t take Shen Wen, the family head, seriously.

”F-Family Head, Minister Hua of the Investment Department said that the Family Head’s plan does not conform to the group’s development, and he cannot execute the Family Head’s order.”

A servant ran in, panting.

”What? He rejected my proposal again? Tell him to get over here; I want him to explain it to my face.”

Shen Wen slammed the desk, his face full of anger.

Minister Hua of the Investment Department was a confidant of his uncle, Shen Lang, and controlled a significant amount of power in the Shen Group.

Shen Lang had originally wanted to seize the position of the Shen Family head, but Shen Wen had beaten him to it, and thus he held a grudge.

In the past, he had opposed him both openly and secretly, and now he was openly refuting his decisions.

”Family Head, it’s too late. Minister Hua said he has already executed the order of Elder Shen (Shen Lang).”

The servant was trembling, fearing that he would anger Shen Wen.

”What?”

”I, Shen Wen, am the Shen Family head and the chairman of the Shen Group! How dare his, Shen Lang’s, order override mine?”

”Outrageous, simply outrageous!”

Shen Wen slammed the table and stood up in anger. This time, the public refutation had completely enraged Shen Wen.

”Nephew, why are you so angry?”

”Young people shouldn’t have such a big temper. Getting angry hurts the body; be careful not to hurt yourself.”

A creaking sound rang out as Shen Lang pushed the door open and walked in, looking at Shen Wen with a smile.
