I am the Ultimate Villain, So What If I Kill a Protagonist

77: Chapter 77 The Plan to Give Zhang Yang a Bad ReviewA class reunion?

Chu Yuan had been wondering what the matter was; it turned out she wanted him to accompany her to a class reunion.

Possessing memories from two lifetimes, Chu Yuan naturally knew what these so-called class reunions were really about.

It was nothing more than showing off, flaunting wealth, and boasting about oneself.

Those who had achieved success would express the sentiments they hadn’t dared to voice back in school.

If possible, they wouldn’t mind striking up ”sparks of love” and accomplishing things that were once unattainable during their student days.

Those who already had families would see old feelings from their student days take root here, and upon seeing the other person’s success, fueled by alcohol, engage in some indescribable activities.

After sobering up, they would go their separate ways, or even carry on secret affairs.

That is why some people refer to these so-called reunions as ”hookup parties.”

It wasn’t that Chu Yuan was cynical; college classmates came from all over, each with different motives, and with age, they were no longer as innocent as before.

Everyone was busy with their own lives; there was simply no time or energy to maintain friendships with everyone.

Some people couldn’t even name all their classmates after four years of university.

If one really wanted to gather, they could just invite a few close friends for a small get-together, rather than a so-called class reunion.

Of course, this was just Chu Yuan’s personal opinion and did not represent everyone.

”Chairman Chu, I... my request is too much. You... you should just pretend I never said anything.”

After hearing her request, Chu Yuan fell into deep thought, and Nie Yuqing assumed that he didn’t want to agree to her pathetic little request at all.

To avoid angering Chu Yuan, she had to apologize profusely.

”Silly girl, how is such a small request too much? It just so happens that I have some time, so I can accompany you.”

Although he wasn’t interested in class reunions, it was the first request Nie Yuqing had made, so Chu Yuan didn’t mind satisfying her.

Besides, wasn’t a class reunion a perfect place for acting cool and slapping faces? Who knows, he might even run into a Protagonist.

Speaking of the Protagonist, Chu Yuan suddenly thought of Zhang Yang, the guy he had gotten thrown into a cell twice. He wondered if that fellow was having a good time in there.

Curious, he immediately called Officer Lin Wanzhu to ask about Zhang Yang’s situation.

The information obtained from Officer Lin Wanzhu made Chu Yuan frown.

”You actually released Zhang Yang?”

”Yes, Young Master Chu, we had no choice.”

Officer Lin Wanzhu recounted the specific situation in detail.

Zhang Yang was quite clever; after being arrested, he kept his mouth shut.

After Officer Lin Wanzhu and her team tried various methods, Zhang Yang finally claimed that the money was an inheritance left to him by a distant relative abroad.

Because the amount was so large, Zhang Yang had gotten carried away, squandering it recklessly and driving luxury cars to deliver food; these were all supposedly justifiable.

There was no direct evidence for any of this, and even a thorough investigation would take time.

According to protocol, Officer Lin Wanzhu and her team couldn’t keep Zhang Yang detained, so they had to release him while secretly monitoring him during the investigation.

”Alright, I understand.”

”Don’t worry about Zhang Yang anymore, and there’s no need to send people to follow him.”

Hanging up the phone, Chu Yuan fell into deep thought.

”This Zhang Yang isn’t completely useless after all; he actually thought of such a way to escape.”

After pondering for a while, the corners of Chu Yuan’s mouth curled up, and he had an idea.

”Since you like delivering food so much, I’ll let you deliver to your heart’s content.”

”Don’t you want five-star reviews? I’ll give you nothing but bad reviews and complain until you’re done for.”

According to what Chu Yuan knew, Zhang Yang only received system rewards if he got five-star reviews. If he received a bad review, not only would he get no rewards, but he would also be punished by the system.

”Ding! Host has triggered a random mission: Give Zhang Yang five one-star reviews. Mission reward: 3000 villain points.”

”Ding! Host has triggered a random mission: Kill the Protagonist Zhang Yang. Mission reward: 6000 villain points.”

The system prompt made Chu Yuan chuckle.

It seemed that even the system was annoyed with that good-for-nothing Zhang Yang.

Once he harvested another wave of points, it would be time to send him on his way.

...

While Chu Yuan was plotting to continue scheming against Zhang Yang, a drunken incident was occurring at a small bar in the capital.

Inside the private room of the bar, the place was a mess, with empty wine bottles everywhere.

A man was downing bottle after bottle of alcohol, trying to numb himself with the liquor.

The man was none other than Shen Wen, who believed he had discovered the truth.

His mother, Qi Xinyue, had cheated and had an illicit affair with a lecherous monk.

The man he had called father, Shen Congwu, for over twenty years wasn’t his father at all.

From a high-and-mighty Young Master of the Shen Family, he had fallen to being a shameful, illegitimate child.

The heavy blows struck Shen Wen’s heart, leaving him unable to accept the truth for the moment.

Wishing to stay drunk and never wake up, only by constantly numbing himself with alcohol could Shen Wen feel a little better.

”What Young Master of the Shen Family!”

”You are nothing but a pathetic worm, a bastard with a mother but no father.”

Shen Wen didn’t know how many glasses he had drunk; he was feeling quite dizzy.

It wasn’t until the bar manager noticed something was wrong and forcibly kicked him out that Shen Wen stumbled away.

”Damn bitch, I fed and clothed you well, yet you went behind my back to have an affair and even gave birth to this bastard.”

”You bitch and this bastard, neither of you will have it easy; I’m going to kill you both.”

Just as Shen Wen walked out of the bar, he heard a noisy commotion not far away.

A fierce-looking man, holding a wooden club, was beating a woman and her child.

Dozens of onlookers were gathered around, but no one went up to intervene.

Hearing the man’s words, the crowd felt no sympathy for the mother and son being beaten; in fact, they even felt sorry for the man.

To have raised a son for over ten years, only to find out he was someone else’s seed—how tragic.

”This poor man raised someone else’s son for over ten years and only just found out. He’s been wearing a green hat; how pitiful.”

”This damn woman actually cheated on her husband; she should be drowned in a pig cage.”

”And that illegitimate child shouldn’t have been brought into this world in the first place. His arrival was a mistake; it would be better to put him down.”

The onlookers launched a verbal assault against the woman.

There were even several ”helpful bystanders” who loved the drama, indignantly suggesting that the man slaughter the illegitimate child who shouldn’t have been born in the first place.

Shen Wen couldn’t be bothered to get involved in such family disputes.

Just as he turned to leave, the words of the surrounding crowd made him stop in his tracks.

This scene gave Shen Wen a feeling of déjà vu.
