I am the Ultimate Villain, So What If I Kill a Protagonist

72: Chapter 72 Report to the police: Zhang Yang has a huge amount of unexplained wealth.”Amitabha!”

Jiesha pressed his palms together and smiled bitterly, ”That kid is such a loser. If I were to truly acknowledge him as a son, it would simply be an insult to the Buddhist faith.”

”The Monk, don’t set your standards too high. A loser son, plus the entire Shen Family and that woman Qi Xinyue—you’ve made a huge profit.”

”Young Master, please stop teasing me. As a man of the cloth, I view female beauty as nothing, and I have no interest in worldly possessions.”

”However, does Young Master think that loser Shen Wen really has the courage to kill Shen Congwu and help us easily seize the entire Shen Family?”

Jiesha’s words clearly showed his lack of trust in Shen Wen.

Based on that cowardly live-in son-in-law Shen Wen, even if he had the heart of a thief, he wouldn’t have the guts. How could he possibly kill that old fox Shen Congwu?

To this, Chu Yuan only smiled faintly.

Shen Wen is indeed a loser live-in son-in-law, but don’t forget, he is, at the very least, a Protagonist.

Although Shen Wen spent three years in the Zhou Family living a life worse than a dog’s, and is now being played in the palm of my hand.

But you have to believe that while Shen Wen has no other skills, he has more than enough ability to kill his own father.

”Young Master, what shall we do next? Do we need to send someone to follow that guy Shen Wen?” Jiesha asked tentatively.

”The next step is much simpler. Didn’t The Monk think that woman Qi Xinyue was not bad? Then go find her again and completely conquer her.”

”Young Master, I am a man of the cloth. I only broke the vow of celibacy the other day out of necessity; how can I repeat the same mistake now?”

Pretending! Keep pretending!

I just praised Jiesha for his good acting skills, and now the thieving monk is putting on an act for me.

Should I award this The Monk a Best Actor award?

”Since The Monk is unwilling to break the precepts, I will not force you.”

”I heard that Mo Chou also quite likes that woman Qi Xinyue, so I will have to let him replace the Master to complete this arduous task.”

Isn’t it just acting? Since The Monk likes to act, he, Chu Yuan, will play along to the end.

”The Buddha said, ’If I do not enter hell, who will?’ Female beauty is like a potent aphrodisiac; how can I trouble others to take my place?”

”For the sake of Young Master’s grand plan, I am willing to feed the tiger with my own body.”

Seeing that Chu Yuan actually planned to replace him, Jiesha solemnly began his self-recommendation mode.

It was hard enough to find that old woman somewhat pleasing to the eye; how could he let Qi Xinyue be taken advantage of by other men?

”The Monk, you’ve developed worldly desires. If I send you, and you fall for her honey trap, wouldn’t I be losing a capable general?”

”My Buddhist heart is firm; I will never be deceived.”

Jiesha wanted to explain further, but Chu Yuan didn’t want to be brainwashed by his grand principles or let him continue to show off. He quickly waved his hand and said, ”Alright, I won’t joke with you anymore. This matter is yours alone.”

After giving him a few instructions, Jiesha once again set foot on the road to the capital.

”Zuo Shishi, how is that kid Zhang Yang? Has he continued to come out to deliver food?”

While laying out plans to deal with Shen Wen, Chu Yuan did not want that guy Zhang Yang to be too idle, so he naturally had to find something for him to do.

”That guy has disappeared in the last few days, hiding in a residential complex, with no intention of delivering food.”

”According to our people’s investigation, he recently helped a divorced woman, and the two are getting quite intimate.”

Zuo Shishi reported, ”We have already found all the assets under Zhang Yang’s name.”

”Under his name, there are a total of three properties, two sports cars, shares in five listed companies, and 800 million in funds.”

”I had someone calculate it, and those assets are estimated to be around 1.5 billion.”

1.5 billion? How long has it been, and he already has such a huge amount of money? Even robbing a bank wouldn’t be this fast.

With money, he wants to quit the food delivery industry? That good-for-nothing guy, I won’t let you get your way.

He decisively picked up his phone and dialed a number.

”Hello, Young Master Chu.”

”Officer Lin, I am calling to report a crime. I have discovered a suspicious person who has many assets of unknown origin under his name. I suspect he is a criminal involved in money laundering, and I hope you can investigate it thoroughly.”

”Assets of unknown origin? Do you know how many assets he has?”

”800 million in liquid funds, and about 1.5 billion in total assets.”

”What, five... 500 million?”

Officer Lin Wanzhu was stunned and hadn’t reacted yet.

Although Zhang Yang’s God-level Food Delivery System was a bit trashy, regardless, the money and stocks obtained through the Food Delivery System rewards would always be given a reasonable source by the Food Delivery System.

Therefore, no matter how the police investigated, it would be impossible to find any issues with this money.

But don’t forget the most critical point: half a month ago, Zhang Yang was still penniless.

To raise money for his mother’s medical treatment, he even came to scam Chu Yuan out of money.

In just half a month, he went from having nothing to being worth over a billion.

As long as you aren’t an idiot, you can see that there is a big problem here.

Although reporting to the police didn’t have any benefits for Chu Yuan.

But the current Chu Yuan didn’t care about that at all; anyway, his goal was to torment the Protagonist.

Tormenting the Protagonist for a moment is fun; tormenting the Protagonist for a lifetime is always fun.

On the other end of the phone, Officer Lin Wanzhu was also extremely shocked to hear that the other party actually had 1.5 billion in assets of unknown origin.

1.5 billion in assets of unknown origin, which included 800 million in funds.

This could count as a major case in the entire Magic City.

What kind of concept is 800 million in funds?

Even for those large groups worth tens of billions, it is impossible for them to have this much cash on hand.

Coupled with Zhang Yang’s previous history of fraud, it is very likely that these funds were obtained by him through some fraudulent means.

”Young Master Chu, is this information of yours accurate?”

”Do you think I have the spare time to file a false report here?”

”Young Master Chu, don’t misunderstand. I will arrange for people to investigate this matter immediately.”

”Good, I will also tell you the intelligence I have found on my end.”

He hung up the phone.

Chu Yuan immediately informed Officer Lin Wanzhu of all of Zhang Yang’s intelligence, including his work address, as well as the funds, shares, luxury homes, etc., that he possessed.

Even though all of these were given to Zhang Yang by the system.

But as long as it was in the Magic City, it was easy for Chu Yuan to find out the background of a person.

On the other hand, after receiving all of Zhang Yang’s information, Officer Lin Wanzhu did not dare to be negligent and had the technical department verify it overnight.

Without a doubt, all of this was true.

Half a month ago, Zhang Yang was arrested for fraud, but it was only because Chu Yuan was merciful that he let him off the hook.

In just half a month, 1.5 billion in assets suddenly appeared under Zhang Yang’s name. The more Officer Lin Wanzhu thought about it, the more wrong it felt.
