I am the Ultimate Villain, So What If I Kill a Protagonist

46: Chapter 46 The Rhythm of Being Ganged Up”Stop right there. You’re that scammer, aren’t you? You’ve got some nerve, daring to show your face here.”

Zhang Yang, who had just stepped out of the hospital room, was cornered by several young men.

”Who are you people? Stop spouting nonsense here.”

Zhang Yang frowned. Judging by the looks of these men, they clearly meant trouble.

The leading young man didn’t answer the question but instead continued to press him: ”You were destitute just a few days ago, and now, all of a sudden, you’re wealthy. Where did your money come from?”

”That’s my business. What’s it to you?”

Zhang Yang felt a bit flustered inside, but he forced himself to remain calm.

This money was all a reward given to him by the God-level Food Delivery System.

Moreover, the system had told him that the money could be traced through legitimate channels.

In just a few short days, someone who was drowning in debt had suddenly become a millionaire. Even if there were no loopholes, this fact itself became the biggest loophole.

Because Zhang Yang simply couldn’t explain it clearly.

The young man sneered: ”A fine ’none of your business.’ You pretty boy, relying on your looks to scrounge for food and drink everywhere—not only did you take my sister’s innocence, but you even swindled the money she had set aside to treat her aids.”

”If you don’t cough up my sister’s money today, I’ll beat you until you can’t take care of yourself.”

”Stop spouting nonsense!” Zhang Yang pointed at the young man, filled with rage. ”I get it now. You’re here to frame me on purpose.”

The money the system gave him definitely wasn’t obtained through fraud.

And for the young man before him to make such claims, there was only one explanation: he was acting under someone else’s orders to frame him.

”What frame-up? This brat swindled my old mother out of three hundred thousand in retirement money yesterday. I’m going to kill him!”

”And my wife’s five hundred thousand was swindled by him too.”

”You beast! Not sparing anyone from the elderly to patients needing money for treatment—you’re worse than an animal.”

As three or five people spoke up, the surrounding onlookers were immediately filled with righteous indignation and began to verbally attack Zhang Yang.

”Hey kid, didn’t you say you didn’t commit fraud? Then tell us, where did your money come from?”

”Yeah, tell us, where did your money come from?”

Dozens of people surrounded Zhang Yang, demanding he explain the origin of his money, which immediately caused Zhang Yang to panic because there was nothing he could say.

Was he supposed to tell them that this money was a reward from the system?

Not to mention that the system was Zhang Yang’s biggest secret, one that absolutely could not be revealed to outsiders.

Even if he did say it, not only would no one believe him, but they would likely think he was a lunatic.

And if the mastermind behind this decided to give him a lobotomy, he’d be done for.

As for other excuses, they were impossible to explain. In this situation, even if he had ten mouths, he wouldn’t be able to explain himself clearly.

”You people, constantly claiming I swindled your wives and your mothers out of money—why don’t you produce some evidence?”

”As long as you can produce solid evidence, I, Zhang Yang, will plead guilty. Otherwise, I will definitely sue you for defamation.”

Zhang Yang gathered his courage. Even though the origin of his money was unclear, he knew very well that he hadn’t swindled anyone out of money or sex, and they wouldn’t be able to produce any actual evidence.

Just as Zhang Yang was feeling smug, a loud voice came from behind him: ”You want evidence? This young master can give it to you.”

As soon as the voice fell, the crowd automatically parted to the left and right. Chu Yuan and Zuo Shishi walked over slowly.

Dressed in suits, exuding an air of nobility, they stood out from the surrounding crowd like cranes among chickens.

”Chu Yuan, it’s actually you. What are you here for?”

Seeing the arrival of Chu Yuan, his mortal enemy, Zhang Yang couldn’t help but feel rage rise in his heart.

He hadn’t forgotten that it was Chu Yuan who had snatched his woman away and even used money to humiliate him.

The most hateful thing was that it would have been one thing if Chu Yuan had simply humiliated him with twenty million, but he had turned around and reported him to the police, framing him for fraud and causing him to be locked up in the station for several days.

With such deep hatred, enemies are especially resentful when they meet.

”Heh…”

”You kid swindled twenty million from this young master. What do you think this young master is here for?”

As he spoke, he took the transfer records from Zuo Shishi’s hand and held them up to display.

”Everyone, come take a look at how impressive this kid is. He swindled twenty million from me in one go.”

”Here are the transfer records. What else do you have to say for yourself?”

Chu Yuan looked at Zhang Yang with a playful expression. His appearance here made it clear that he intended to deal with this kid, and he would do it openly and honestly, beating him until he had no power to fight back.

There was naturally no need to hide in the shadows and play dirty when dealing with such a useless Protagonist.

”This young master thought you only swindled my money, but I didn’t expect you to be swindling everyone, not even sparing old ladies or patients suffering from severe illnesses. You are truly devoid of conscience.”

”How about this: if you kneel down, beg for this young master’s forgiveness, and put on a pathetic show, this young master will not hold your fraud against you.”

”Otherwise, look at all these people here—one spit from each of them would be enough to drown you.”

Zhang Yang didn’t dare to mention the system. And with the transfer records, the criminal fact of his fraud was cemented.

Zhang Yang was now like a mute eating coptis—unable to voice his bitterness. He looked utterly aggrieved.

”Damn you, Chu Yuan! You framed me for all of this!”

”You want me to kneel? I’ll kill you first!”

When you can no longer tolerate it, there is no need to endure it any longer. Zhang Yang clenched his fists and charged forward.

”Look everyone, this scammer is acting out of shame and anger—he’s trying to kill to silence me!”

”What are you all still standing there for? Go up and catch the criminal!”

Want to start a fight? You kid, being so arrogant in public—what does that make my guards?

The bodyguards hidden among the crowd received the order and rushed up, one by one, filled with righteous indignation.

Those clueless onlookers, seeing that this scammer Zhang Yang still wanted to fight, felt their sense of justice explode and joined in the rush as well.

”Scammer, taking an old lady’s money! I’m going to kill you!”

”Not even sparing an aids patient—I will represent heaven in taking you down!”

”Brothers, beat him up!”

Dozens of people surrounded Zhang Yang, and aside from verbal abuse, they launched into a flurry of punches and kicks.

Although Zhang Yang’s body had been modified by the God-level Food Delivery System and he had inherited the spirit of a cockroach, his two fists were no match for four hands. Coupled with the numerous capable bodyguards playing dirty from behind, he was soon beaten until he couldn’t take care of himself.

”Stop hitting him! In broad daylight, how can you commit violence and beat someone up?”

Zhao Qin, who had just returned, heard them mentioning that Zhang Yang was a scammer and saw him being beaten. She stepped forward, trying to stop this group of assailants.
