I am the Ultimate Villain, So What If I Kill a Protagonist

5: Chapter 5 Give it a try, a corporationIn just a few words, Chu Yuan had explained the matter of breaking off the engagement.

”Good lad, how did you come up with such a nasty trick?”

”Changsha stinky tofu, I can’t believe you thought of that; you actually used a piece of Changsha stinky tofu to break off an engagement.”

Lin Jinyun burst into laughter, clutching her stomach.

If it weren’t so hilarious, she wouldn’t have laughed so unrestrainedly.

As for the matter of Chu Yuan breaking off the engagement with Chen Xue, she didn’t even take it seriously.

Just as Chu Yuan had said earlier, if a young master of the Chu family wanted to take a wife, the daughters of those prominent families could line up from Shanghai all the way to the capital.

If the original owner hadn’t been so headstrong back then, it never would have been Chen Xue’s turn.

”By the way, Mom, there is something I want to discuss with you.”

”Discuss? Why are you being so polite, you brat? Did you make some mistake outside again and are coming back to find your parents?”

Chu Yuan’s face turned dark.

He was, after all, a dignified villain, so how did he become a child who runs home to tattle every time he makes a mistake in his mother’s eyes?

”It’s like this, I want to take control of Tianlong Group.”

”Don’t you usually hate managing companies? Why do you have this idea recently?”

”I’m just pulling back from the brink, realizing I’ve done too many absurd things in the past, and I want to make amends and share some of your burdens.”

Chu Yuan casually found an excuse to brush it off.

The matter of the system was his biggest secret, and Chu Yuan was not prepared to tell anyone about it.

As for taking over the group.

With the system, Chu Yuan had higher pursuits.

Business was merely an auxiliary method, a tool used to deal with the Protagonist.

He didn’t really have any intention of doing business; at worst, when the time came, he could just subjugate a few heroines with business talent and be a hands-off manager himself. Wouldn’t that be better?

A villain is not a Protagonist.

The Protagonist is like a firefighter, running around all day, exhausted and overworked.

A villain only needs to enjoy life and step on the Protagonist along the way.

”Fine, since you want to do it, then go ahead.”

”I will give you all the shares of the group; you can take office tomorrow.”

Tianlong Group was founded by the Chu family; it could be said that it was entirely the private property of the Chu family.

Except for some years ago when his grandfather was kind and gave a portion of the shares to those elders who followed the Chu family, the vast majority of the remaining shares were in the hands of his parents.

It was not difficult for Chu Yuan to take over the group now.

Even if there was resistance, he could just crush it with one foot.

”By the way, there are still quite a few old-timers in the group. Do you want Mom to say a word to them for you?”

”No need, your son can handle these things.”

Chu Yuan naturally understood who the old-timers his mother was referring to were.

These individuals were all people who had followed the Chu family for a long time.

The Chu family had given them absolute authority, not only granting them shares but even handing over the entire management of Tianlong Group to them.

But these people not only lacked any sense of gratitude, but instead used the Chu family’s name to act recklessly.

Not only that, when Lin Tianyang dealt with the Chu family, these people even turned against them, becoming tools for Lin Tianyang to use against the Chu family.

To resist foreign aggression, one must first pacify the interior.

Before dealing with Lin Tianyang, he would first crush these ants.

”Shishi, there are a few things I need you to handle for me.”

After hanging up the phone, Chu Yuan also began to make arrangements.

... The Chen family.

A violent storm was sweeping over the Chen family.

Upon learning that Chu Yuan had called off the engagement because of Chen Xue, the entire Chen family was thrown into complete chaos.

Chen Xue’s father, Chen Xiao, was so angry that his high blood pressure flared up, and he nearly died.

Chen Xue’s grandfather was even less able to withstand such a blow and went to the hospital to be put on oxygen.

”You... you unfilial daughter, I warned you long ago not to give Young Master Chu a cold face. He is your fiancé, he is the backer of our Chen family.”

”But you actually treated my words as wind passing by your ears; this time you even openly gave Young Master Chu a cold face, causing Young Master Chu to want to break off the engagement with you.”

”You disgraceful thing, how did I, Chen Xiao, give birth to such a disgraceful thing like you?”

Chen Xiao’s scolding left Chen Xue completely stunned.

She originally thought that her family supported her.

But once she returned home, the atmosphere changed, and everything became her fault.

”Dad, are you being reasonable at all? It was clearly Chu Yuan who wanted to call off the engagement; he even slapped your daughter.”

”But look at you now, without distinguishing right from wrong, you just unleash your anger on me.”

”And I told you long ago, I have no interest in that useless Chu Yuan, and I will not marry him.”

”Now that the engagement is off, it’s just perfect; from now on, I will cut ties with him.”

With a face full of grievance and displeasure, for Chen Xue, nothing was happier than breaking off the engagement with Chu Yuan.

”You wretch!”

”Everyone knows how Young Master Chu has treated you; it must be that you did something outrageous again, which caused Young Master Chu to be furious. You deserved to be hit by him.”

”Chen Xue, let me tell you, you will go find Young Master Chu immediately and beg for his forgiveness.”

”If there is really no room for this marriage to be saved, then you can get out of the Chen family; I, Chen Xiao, will no longer have a daughter like you.”

Chen Xue’s eyes widened, her face full of disbelief: ”Dad, I am your biological daughter, you... you actually want to sever our father-daughter relationship over such a small matter?”

”That’s right, I cannot watch the Chen family be destroyed by you just like that.”

Chen Xiao was serious this time.

As the current head of the Chen family, he naturally knew about the terrifying strength of the Chu family.

Once the marriage between Chen Xue and Chu Yuan fell through, losing the protection of the Chu family, or even offending the Chu family, meant that being the head of the four great families of Shanghai would all be fleeting clouds.

That night, a fierce verbal argument broke out in the Chen family, and a crowd of Chen family members launched verbal attacks and sarcastic taunts at Chen Xue.

... The next morning.

When Chu Yuan was preparing to go to the group to ”work,” he was met with an uninvited guest.

”Miss Chen is a rare guest; in the past, I couldn’t invite you even if I tried, but today you have come uninvited. What brings you here?”

In Chu Yuan’s impression, no matter how he invited Chen Xue to visit his home in the past, she always had an indifferent attitude, unwilling to even show a shred of courtesy.

Now, just after he had broken off the engagement with her, she had come charging to his door aggressively.

The corners of Chu Yuan’s mouth turned up, revealing a playful smile: ”Miss Chen must be here to get the marriage certificate. Originally, I wanted to find an errand boy to send it to you, but now that you have come yourself, it saves me the trouble.”

As he spoke, he cast his gaze at Zuo Shishi behind him: ”Shishi, hurry up and give the marriage certificate to Miss Chen.”

”Here, this is your marriage certificate, take it.”

Zuo Shishi took out the marriage certificate and handed it to Chen Xue without ceremony.

Zuo Shishi had never had much affection for this kind of pretentious woman.

Now that her young master had broken off the engagement and drawn a clear line with her, Zuo Shishi would not give her any good looks.

Looking at the marriage certificate in Zuo Shishi’s hand, Chen Xue was stunned.

She had come today because she had important business with Chu Yuan.

Now that she had been outmaneuvered by Chu Yuan, she didn’t know whether to accept the marriage certificate or not.
