I am the Ultimate Villain, So What If I Kill a Protagonist

17: Chapter 17 Waiting for the Female Lead to Take the BaitUpon entering the Imperial Bar, Liu Yanran shared the same movements and thoughts as Chu Yuan; she had absolutely no interest in this kind of place.

This was her first time coming to such a chaotic place since she was a child.

After returning to the Liu residence, she recounted everything that happened tonight to her grandfather, Elder Liu, without adding any embellishments.

She had originally thought that after this incident, Elder Liu’s attitude toward Lin Tianyang would change.

The reality was the exact opposite.

Elder Liu chose to believe Lin Tianyang without reservation, believing that he had been framed.

Furthermore, there was absolutely no possibility of changing the marriage arrangements between Liu Yanran and Lin Tianyang.

Unable to contain her anger, Liu Yanran ran here, intending to relax a little.

She found a seat in the corner and ordered a drink with a low alcohol content.

Although she was in a bad mood, she had no intention of drowning her sorrows in alcohol, and she certainly wouldn’t get drunk in a place like this.

”Beauty, are you drinking alone? How about I keep you company for a drink?”

A young hooligan wearing a floral shirt and sporting yellow hair walked over with an evil grin on his face.

His greedy eyes were fixed on Liu Yanran the entire time.

Damn, this is the first time I’ve seen such a beautiful woman; she’s on a completely different level from the women in the nightclubs.

I’d give up ten years of my life just to bag her.

”Get lost!”

Liu Yanran said, her tone flat.

A powerful aura emanated from her, scaring the hooligan into backing away repeatedly.

Once he regained his composure, he immediately flew into a rage from embarrassment.

There was a group of his lackeys watching behind him.

For someone living on the streets, you can lose your life, but you can’t lose face.

”Fine, you just wait. There will come a time when you’ll be begging me.”

The yellow-haired man gritted his teeth. Seeing the security guards nearby, he didn’t dare to act recklessly. He shot a resentful glance at Liu Yanran and left dejectedly.

Just because he couldn’t use force didn’t mean he couldn’t do other things.

Seeing a waiter preparing to serve Liu Yanran a drink, a malicious plan sprang to mind.

”Wait a second, put this into it.”

”This... is that a good idea? If I mess around here and something happens, the boss will kill me.” The waiter feigned fear.

”Do you think I don’t know the rules here? As long as we don’t use force, everything else is negotiable.”

”Do you see that woman? To die under the peony flower is a romantic death. Once I succeed, do you think I won’t share some of the spoils with you?”

The waiter instinctively looked over and couldn’t help but swallow his saliva. ”Fine, I’ll do it. But what about the others? Don’t we need to...”

The yellow-haired man understood exactly what the waiter’s hand-rubbing gesture meant.

To bag that stunning beauty, he was willing to bleed a little money.

”Here’s five thousand yuan. Do it properly, or else...”

”Don’t worry, have I ever failed a job? Just wait to have some fun.”

The waiter skillfully picked up the powder, poured it into the drink, and then gave it a shake.

Once the powder entered the drink, it immediately dissolved.

Let alone an amateur like Liu Yanran, even an expert might not have noticed it.

They thought their actions were extremely secretive, unaware that all of this was being watched by Chu Yuan.

”This routine again. I wonder if you’ll drink it.”

A smile played on Chu Yuan’s lips.

In the original story, at the critical moment when Liu Yanran was about to drink, Lin Tianyang burst onto the scene, exposed the yellow-haired man and the waiter’s trick, and drove them into a rage.

The yellow-haired man decided to go all out and attacked Lin Tianyang directly, only to be beaten up by Lin Tianyang instead.

It was precisely this display of martial prowess, shown inadvertently, that completely turned around Liu Yanran’s opinion of him.

But now, Chu Yuan had long since prepared people to play with Lin Tianyang.

Naturally, he wouldn’t have a part in the classic scene of a hero saving the beauty.

Moreover, for Chu Yuan, it didn’t matter whether Liu Yanran drank the wine or not; the outcome would be the same.

Because Chu Yuan had already prepared everything and ordered his men to tamper with the first drink Liu Yanran would consume.

Sure enough, Liu Yanran only glanced at the drink the waiter brought over and had no intention of drinking it.

After berating the yellow-haired man, although Liu Yanran appeared calm and composed, it was impossible for her not to be afraid while in such a place.

She didn’t want to stay here any longer, so she stood up, ready to pay the bill and leave.

”Brother Ali, that woman is very vigilant. Not only did she not drink the wine you prepared, but she’s also planning to leave. The cooked duck is flying away. What should we do now?”

The waiter was also getting anxious. Such a stunning woman was something you wouldn’t come across in a thousand years. He wasn’t willing to give up without getting a taste.

”Want to run?”

”There isn’t a single woman who can escape from my clutches.”

”It’s not easy to make a move here. Let’s go outside and intercept her.”

The yellow-haired man gritted his teeth and quickly signaled five or six hooligans to chase after her.

”With this bunch of guys performing so hard, should I hire them as professional actors?”

Chu Yuan followed the group of hooligans at a leisurely pace.

...

”Where do you two petty thieves think you’re going?”

Lin Tianyang looked at the thieves before him triumphantly.

Having just become the security captain of the Imperial Bar based on his personal martial strength, he had immediately encountered these two thieves.

A new official brings a new broom; Lin Tianyang didn’t mind playing with them.

”Run?”

”You’re the one who should be running!”

The two men showed no fear at all; instead, they revealed smiles of success.

Lin Tianyang immediately became alert and dodged to the side with a roll.

Whoosh!

A flying knife grazed Lin Tianyang’s cheek, leaving a long bloody scratch.

If one looked closely, it wouldn’t be hard to notice that this bloody scratch was perfectly symmetrical with the scar left from when he was hit last time, which actually made his face look less ugly.

Lin Tianyang looked up to see a dozen men dressed in black appearing in front of him, their faces tightly masked.

”Who are you, and who sent you to deal with me?”

Lin Tianyang clenched his fists, his eyes filled with intense murderous intent.

”Go to the underworld and ask the King of Hell yourself!”

The man in black kicked toward Lin Tianyang’s abdomen.

Lin Tianyang raised his hand to block, but the powerful force sent him stumbling backward repeatedly.

”A master at the Late Stage of Dark Energy?”

”You... actually have such strength?”

He didn’t know until he fought; the moment he did, Lin Tianyang was taken aback.

The strength of this man in black was truly terrifying.

”Who on earth are you?”

The man in black didn’t respond. Having landed the first blow, he immediately engaged in close-quarters combat, every punch landing solidly. He pressed forward relentlessly, forcing Lin Tianyang to keep retreating.

”If I don’t fight back, I’ll be worn down to death by this guy sooner or later.”

Lin Tianyang gritted his teeth and used all his strength to grab the man in black’s arm, throwing him over his shoulder in a forced shoulder throw.

The man in black, flying in mid-air, turned his fist into a palm and slammed it fiercely into Lin Tianyang’s back.

He sent him flying, causing him to spit out a mouthful of blood.

If it weren’t for the fact that he had been consuming various precious medicinal herbs since he was young, giving him a physique superior to ordinary people, and his strength at the Mid Stage of Dark Energy, he would have been beaten to death long ago.

Even so, Lin Tianyang was in a bad state at this moment.
