Flash Marriage: Pampered by Mr.Bigshot

Chapter 501: Chapter 500: What I Did Was Right

It had to be said, Evelyn Peary’s fantasies about this were really something.

After hanging up the phone, Nia Mitchell, a smile on her face, hesitated about whether to go and tell Maxwell Peary about this matter right away.

It’s good news. If I tell him now, Maxwell Peary could understandably be pleased a bit prematurely. But it’s working hours; if I specifically went over to tell him now, wouldn’t that disturb his work?

So, Nia Mitchell was caught in a dilemma. She decided to stop dwelling on it and put the matter aside for now.

「The Davidson Martial Arts Academy had already reached a fever pitch; all the disciples were standing on both sides of the courtyard in their uniform white martial arts suits.」

Grandfather Davidson, standing in the middle, angrily approached Owen Lewis.

”You bloody brat! You don’t have a household register, so where did you get a marriage certificate?”

So, this must be fake. Even if they go to the Civil Affairs Bureau to check and find out that Annie Davidson really did marry him, this is definitely fake.

Grandfather Davidson had a straightforward, one-track mind.

He didn’t care about all this nonsense. This stinky brat in front of him... no matter how he looked at him, he just didn’t like him. Wanting to marry his granddaughter? Go to hell!

”Even if you are married, go get a divorce now!” Grandfather Davidson yelled. His voice was full of energy; perhaps because he practiced martial arts, his body was extremely robust.

”Grandpa!” Annie Davidson walked over. Her feelings were mixed after hearing Grandfather Davidson’s words.

Although her grandfather had always wished for her to marry her betrothed, the words he was saying now made it sound as if he were taking her side.

It had to be said, she was actually quite touched.

”Lewis, I never expected you would have gone and gotten the marriage certificate. Now, listen to me carefully. However you managed to get into the Civil Affairs Bureau’s records and change my status to married, I expect you to use the exact same methods to change it back.”

Annie’s expression was icy; she wasn’t even angry anymore.

Owen Lewis frowned. ”Are you sure?”

”I’m sure!”

”You’ll take responsibility for these words for the rest of your life? Are you still sure?”

”I...” Annie hesitated for a moment, memories of their past flooding her mind. She and Owen Lewis had always been together, through thick and thin, through hails of gunfire, living precarious lives where each day might be their last.

Their feelings for each other had long since taken deep root in their hearts.

But after they married, many issues gradually emerged.

The problem lay in their differing mentalities. She couldn’t change Owen Lewis’s views. In his mind, once married, a woman should give birth, raise children, and lose her own identity to revolve around her family and kids.

She... she couldn’t do it.

”I’m sure!”

BANG!

Owen Lewis forcefully threw a small box he’d taken from his pocket onto the floor, his face contorted with anger.

”Annie Davidson, well done!”

Owen Lewis was practically fuming, his face filled with anger, his chest heaving violently, consumed by rage.

He nodded, saying nothing more.

Without a single glance at the box on the floor, he turned and walked away.

Watching him leave, Annie took a hesitant step forward, but then stopped.

Grandfather Davidson was stunned. What in the world? That damned brat, he just walked away like that? Hey, wait a minute! He threw something down here and left? What kind of temper tantrum is this? That stinky brat! The next time I see him, I’ll beat him to death!

”Grandpa, what I did was the right thing, wasn’t it?”

Grandfather Davidson didn’t know the full story, but she desperately wanted his affirmation.

”What in blazes is going on? What exactly happened with that stinky brat?!”
