Flash Marriage: Pampered by Mr.Bigshot

Chapter 503: Chapter 502: Lewis’ Headquarters

Annie Davidson was instantly exasperated. Is the man in front of me really my grandfather?

She was starting to doubt if he was actually her younger brother.

Damn it.

She couldn’t help but want to curse. She glanced at the ring and extended her right hand.

”Give it to me.”

Grandpa instantly pulled his hands behind his back, staring at Annie with wide, round eyes.

”No!”

Annie: ...!!!

So childish.

”I’ll give it back to him.”

Controlling her temper, Annie tried to explain. This diamond ring is too expensive, isn’t it?

”I don’t believe you.”

Grandpa turned his head away, sulking.

This must be what they mean by a ’childish old man.’

”Grandpa, you’re... trying to claim it as your own, aren’t you!?”

Annie looked at her grandfather with suspicion, as if she had discovered a new continent.

”You...you...you... I am not!”

Grandpa immediately bristled. Is he that kind of person?

”No? Then give it back to me!”

Annie arched an eyebrow, extended her hand, and beckoned for the ring.

”I won’t!”

What if Annie put it on? Would he have to snatch it from her? No, no! That would be too undignified.

”You! He didn’t even give it to you! You... you’re shameless!”

Annie was completely at a loss for words to describe this old man.

”Fine, I’ll be shameless! Just tell me where that brat works, and Grandpa here will personally deliver it.”

As for returning the ring, it’s better if I do it. That way, Annie and that brat won’t develop feelings from passing it back and forth. Wouldn’t that be counterproductive? So, it’s best if I keep the ring.

”If you want to return it, then go. If you don’t know where to find him, figure it out yourself.”

With that, Annie turned and walked into the house, not giving Grandpa a second glance.

Grandpa stood rooted to the spot, gazing at the diamond ring in his hand.

That brat! If he was going to leave, he should have just left. Why leave a diamond ring behind?!

Owen Lewis stepped out of the Davidson Family Martial Arts Academy and stood alone on Main Street, unsure of where to go.

After some thought, he dialed Alan Morgan’s number, but no one answered.

Damn!

He turned and headed to the Underground Black Market.

Opulent golden hues permeated the Black Market. The people here were all mysterious, and there was no shortage of burly men. Rows of shops stood tall, adding to the luxurious and mysterious atmosphere.

”Mr. Lewis, what brings you here?” A man dressed in black walked over. ”This is truly rare,” he remarked.

The man was about thirty years old, powerfully built, stood at approximately 1.8 meters tall, and had Asian features.

”Ghost?”

Owen looked around in surprise but didn’t notice anything unusual.

Ghost, an assassin, a world-class wanted criminal, bounty in the top five, and never caught.

”It’s me. What? So surprised?”

Ghost arched an eyebrow and lightly thumped Owen Lewis on the chest.

”How’s it going? Any business lately? Don’t forget to send some my way.”

Owen Lewis chuckled at his words.

”What, are you short of money? The jobs I have are all small ones.”

Owen Lewis and Ghost casually found a bench and sat down.

”I take small jobs too. Just a couple of days ago, I took a one-million job.”

”You took a one-million job? Aren’t you afraid of devaluing yourself?”

For a world-class assassin like him, even a ten-million job would be considered small.

”I have no choice. I recently bought some heavy equipment, and I’m a bit tight on cash. Besides, those international agents are relentlessly pursuing me, so I have to earn some extra money. I’m definitely worth a lot, but the problem is, the money doesn’t always make it into my hands.”
