Flash Marriage: Pampered by Mr.Bigshot

Chapter 507: Chapter 506: Even Drinking Cold Water Gets Stuck in My Teeth

Dark lines seemed to etch themselves on Maxwell Peary’s forehead. Being ignored by his young wife felt utterly awful.

”Nia Mitchell, are you listening to me?”

Nia Mitchell was taken aback, looking at Maxwell Peary. Why does it feel like his expression changed again?

He was fine just now, and then suddenly...

Indeed, the CEO’s moods change so quickly; she simply can’t keep up. Trying to understand Maxwell Peary... it’ll probably take a very, very long time.

”I am listening!”

Nia’s spirits lifted, and she immediately nodded vigorously, her expression earnest.

”Never mind.”

Maxwell Peary massaged his forehead. From the way she looked, she clearly hadn’t been listening at all, and he didn’t have the heart to expose her.

”Huh?”

She blinked, not quite understanding what Maxwell Peary meant.

”Go ahead and eat.”

Maxwell Peary said wearily, feeling disheartened.

”Oh.”

Nia Mitchell pouted and nodded her head.

So she continued to eat.

And so, Young Master Peary’s future days promised to be quite eventful.

「Meanwhile, at Madgar Pavilion」

Things had already begun to get busy in the kitchen at this hour.

”Boss, there are customers in the Private Booth requesting the Head Chef.”

Finally, a waitress who couldn’t bear it any longer ran to the kitchen. Seeing Evelyn Peary and the Head Chef bustling around, she hesitated but still decided to speak up.

”The Head Chef isn’t cooking today. Explain it to them, and their lunch will be twenty percent off.”

Evelyn Peary was bustling about enthusiastically. When she was in a good mood, everything she did felt immensely enjoyable.

Even if she lost money today, she would probably still laugh it off.

”But...”

The waitress hesitated, the words on the tip of her tongue left unsaid. She shook her head and left the kitchen.

She really wanted to tell her respected boss: People who can afford to dine at Madgar Pavilion, and in a Private Booth no less—do you think they’re short on money? Those who are short on money wouldn’t specifically request the Head Chef!

She became increasingly anxious, unsure how to explain this to the customers later.

Evelyn Peary couldn’t be bothered with such things. She hired these people at high salaries precisely to solve all these problems.

”So, what do you think about the preparation method for this dish?”

Evelyn Peary turned her head and continued discussing with the Head Chef.

That’s right, what she was preparing now was for tonight’s grand meal.

Did it need to be prepared by noon?

Of course. After all, it was for Maxwell and her little sister-in-law.

”This is indeed quite good. Let me try making it first, and you can taste it when I’m done.”

He was always proficient with Western food, but today Evelyn Peary had come over to research Chinese Cuisine.

He was a bit stumped, but it wasn’t a problem; he could give it a try.

”However, Boss, are you certain that Young Master Peary will come tonight?”

You’re preparing so many things here; what if Young Master Peary doesn’t show up in the end? Er, wouldn’t that leave you in an awkward spot?

”I haven’t called to invite him yet, but I’m certain he will come.”

As long as my little sister-in-law asks, how could he refuse?

She had now learned a great trick: for anything, find her little sister-in-law, and the success rate would be exceptionally high.

”You carry on here; I’m going to call Yancy Hastings.”

Since this morning, Yancy Hastings’s phone had been unreachable. She wanted to check now if it was reachable.

However, he said he was going for training, so he probably wouldn’t be back too quickly. I wonder what kind of training it is.

As expected, his phone was still switched off. Evelyn Peary thought for a moment and composed a text message.

”Not sure when your training ends. If it’s before dinner, come to Madgar Pavilion for a meal. My treat.”

After sending the text message, Evelyn Peary heaved a sigh of relief.

Yancy Hastings is a good friend, worth having.

「At the Western Restaurant」

Nia Mitchell was currently enjoying a romantic meal with Maxwell Peary. However, a discordant scene was unfolding at the entrance of the restaurant.

Sophia Moore’s luck today was absolutely rotten. Not only had she lost her job, but the Lawyer who had previously agreed to help her had suddenly demanded more money. It made her so angry she had cursed up a storm.

When it was time for lunch, she remembered she had a reservation at this Western Restaurant, so she came over.

However, the Manager of this restaurant wouldn’t let her in.

”I say, is this how you treat your guests?”

Perhaps it was because she was angry now, or perhaps because of the earlier argument, but Sophia Moore’s voice was a bit hoarse.

”I’m sorry, Miss Moore, our restaurant is fully booked today. We apologize.”
