Flash Marriage: Pampered by Mr.Bigshot

Chapter 335: Chapter 334: So You Were Hiding Here (Extra Update)

”What makes Star Media think it can just barge into MC?”

Sophia Moore, guarded and wary, watched as Rose Eastwood’s mouth curved into a mocking smile.

”Besides, you’re just a small-time journalist at Star Media. Do you honestly believe your status entitles you to interview our CEO?”

Enraged, Rose Eastwood’s body trembled. She raised her camera, snapped a picture of the Secretary Department, and then one of Sophia Moore.

”What are you doing?!”

Sophia Moore frowned, her expression turning icy. How dare this journalist barge into MC and take pictures randomly?

”Hand over the film immediately, or you won’t be leaving MC.”

”Fine! You dare threaten a journalist? I’m definitely reporting this! I’ll let the world see your true colors, especially yours!”

Rose Eastwood shouted, pointing an accusing finger at Sophia Moore. As she glanced around the Secretary Department, she spotted Nia Mitchell sitting inside.

The moment she saw Nia Mitchell, something clicked.

No wonder that secretary’s voice sounded so familiar! It was her. Enemies are truly bound to meet.

”Nia Mitchell! I never expected you’d be hiding here after leaving the Hampton Family.”

Rose Eastwood instantly forgot what Sophia Moore had said, her attention now fixed on Nia Mitchell.

Nia Mitchell used to be the talk of Star Media. She was going to marry the heir of the Hampton Group and had resigned to become a wealthy young madam. Ha! And what happened in the end? She was jilted on her engagement day and instantly became a laughingstock. But, infuriatingly, she didn’t remain a laughingstock for long. Just in the past couple of days, I heard that the Hampton Group is on the brink of bankruptcy, with tens of millions in losses! Damn it! If Nia Mitchell had actually married Hendry Hampton, she’d be the one in dire straits right now! To think she actually escaped that fate. But how on earth is she working at MC Group?

”Hiding? I’m here in the open.”

Nia Mitchell frowned in annoyance. I can’t believe Rose Eastwood still spotted me, even though I’m sitting so far back.

”In the open? How laughable! What does it feel like to be jilted at your own engagement ceremony? I’d love to interview you about it. After all, it’s quite a rare occurrence, isn’t it?”

Rose Eastwood pushed open the door to the Secretary Department and walked straight over to Nia Mitchell.

At Rose Eastwood’s words, everyone gasped. She was dumped at her engagement ceremony? Tsk, tsk.

”You haven’t changed a bit. Demoted from chief secretary to a gossip-mongering beat reporter. Haven’t you learned your lesson?”

Nia Mitchell clenched her fists. Trying to reopen old wounds, are we? Fine. As if Rose Eastwood hasn’t had her own share of humiliating moments.

”You!”

Veins throbbed on Rose Eastwood’s forehead as she fumed. Her exquisite makeup seemed grotesque on her rage-distorted features.

”HMPH! Since you love interviewing so much, why don’t you interview yourself? Write a report about your demotion. I’m sure it would be very educational.”

Nia Mitchell sneered. After speaking, she returned to her work, having already spotted four security guards approaching.

”Ms. Moore.”

The head of security ran over, sweating profusely. Unfortunately, the elevator had malfunctioned at a crucial moment; otherwise, they would have arrived much sooner.

Fortunately, the journalist was in the Secretary Department. If she had been found in the CEO Office, they would likely have all lost their jobs.
