Chapter 309: Chapter 308 Shirley Grant Has Arrived

In the afternoon, Maxwell Peary went to the Company for work, leaving Nia Mitchell under doctor’s orders to rest at the Villa.

But she was completely well!?

Lying bored on the couch, Nia suddenly received a call from her class monitor, Ralph Perez.

”Hello? Monitor.”

Nia sat cross-legged on the sofa, scratching her tousled hair.

”Nia, we’re having a class gathering this Sunday.”

Ralph Perez was in his dormitory, busy informing everyone one by one.

Nia was taken aback; only then did she remember. Ralph had mentioned this gathering back at School, and she had asked him to inform her when the time came.

The only reason those people wanted to meet was because they’d heard about Hendry Hampton and wanted an opportunity to humiliate her. Who could blame them? Hendry Hampton’s pursuit of her at University A had caused such a stir.

”I know, I’ll be there. Where is it?”

On the other end of the phone, Ralph Perez hesitated.

”At the Royal Dynasty. Nia, if you really can’t make it, just don’t come. I’ll say I wasn’t able to inform you.”

Ralph hesitated for a moment before finally stating his decision.

Nia hadn’t expected Ralph to say such a thing, to offer help like this.

Julia Adams, along with a large group of classmates, had insisted on going to the Royal Dynasty, with the cost to be split equally among everyone.

Although many in the group thought it was expensive, being in Capital Town, they felt they had to keep up appearances.

”No, it’s fine. I’ll be there.”

Nia refused; she had nothing to fear. If they wanted to laugh, let them.

Besides, Mellisa Moreland and Fiona Sutton would also be there, so she had even less reason to be afraid.

”Alright. Shall I pick you up then?”

”No need, I’ll go by myself.”

After hanging up, Nia PITTER-PATTERED upstairs. She hadn’t organized her suitcase yet.

It was filled with many of her old clothes, and she needed to sort them out.

”Madam, a Miss Shirley Grant is here to see you.”

In the second-floor Main Bedroom, the large bed was covered in a messy pile of clothes. Nia was sitting on the bed, sifting through them.

This was the scene the butler walked into.

Nia looked up. Someone’s here to see me?

Not many people knew she lived here. Who could be looking for her?

”Oh, I’ll go down right away.”

Nia sprang from the bed, making the butler’s heart skip a beat.

Be careful, Madam! What if you’re carrying a little master? I must speak to the Young Master about this habit of hers. If she doesn’t start to change it now, she probably won’t be able to once she’s pregnant.

Rushing downstairs in her fluffy slippers, Nia never would have guessed that the person waiting in the Living Room was her—Shirley Grant.

Warm sunlight filtered in through the large glass windows, illuminating Shirley Grant’s face. Her high nose bridge and long eyelashes were like a masterpiece of divine artistry.

Hearing the sound, Shirley Grant looked up.

In just two days, Shirley Grant had grown much thinner, and her face was deathly pale, devoid of color.

”Secretary Grant?”

Nia blinked. Oh, right! She knows my status, so it’s not surprising she found me here.

”Madam.”

Shirley Grant stood up, standing there respectfully rigid, which made Nia feel quite awkward.

”Please, have a seat. What brings you here to see me?”

Nia couldn’t guess Shirley Grant’s purpose in coming. Is it about the CEO... or Alan Morgan?
