Flash Marriage: Pampered by Mr.Bigshot

Chapter 313: Chapter 312: Inviting You to Taste the Sweet and Sour Series

”Uncle, I’ll come home earlier. I’ll go home after dinner,” Nia Mitchell seriously promised, as if she were desperate to make up for something.

”Good, I’ll wait for you at home.”

Nia Mitchell nodded, but then she suddenly remembered, Maxwell Peary can’t even see me nodding! so she immediately agreed verbally.

Not long after hanging up the phone, Nia Mitchell finally arrived at the airport.

The Capital Town airport was grand and luxurious. Every detail of its décor reflected the city’s prosperity. People of all sorts walked about amidst the tasteful decor.

Nia Mitchell hurriedly ran into the airport, clutching her bag. As soon as she entered, she saw Charles Northwood standing not far away.

His all-white attire complemented his elegant demeanor perfectly. Standing there, he seemed to be a world unto himself. With his fair skin and smiling eyes, his entire being exuded an indescribable charismatic aura.

Such a gentle and refined man was none other than Charles Northwood, the professor who had taken University A by storm. He was also her dear friend of seven years.

Charles Northwood had always been an excellent student. He graduated from University A in only one and a half years and, after undertaking advanced studies, eventually returned to the university as a professor in the Chinese Department.

When he started teaching, she and Fiona Sutton had just begun their senior year. Thus, their relationship had suddenly transformed from classmates to teacher and student.

”Charles Northwood!” Nia Mitchell waved at him and happily ran over.

”You should have called before you got on the plane to tell me you were coming back! That way, you wouldn’t have had to wait here for so long,” Nia Mitchell said, beaming as she ran up to him, her tone playfully reproachful.

”I haven’t been waiting long,” Charles Northwood replied, taking her suitcase and starting to walk out with her.

”What do you want to eat? My treat.”

It was a phrase as comforting as a spring breeze, truly hitting the spot for a foodie like her.

”One of every dish in the sweet and sour series!” Nia Mitchell declared, happily skipping alongside him as they excitedly left the airport.

”Why don’t we go to that restaurant near the school? I haven’t eaten there in ages,” Nia Mitchell suddenly suggested, her face lighting up.

”No problem. Whatever you say.”

「A homestyle restaurant near University A.」

The decor was simple, lacking the grandeur of large restaurants. It was slightly unassuming, but very clean. Being so close to University A, and with it being dinnertime, the restaurant was bustling with activity and lively chatter.

Nia Mitchell and Charles Northwood waited for twenty minutes before an empty table became available, and they quickly sat down.

”The sweet and sour dishes here are particularly delicious, but my absolute favorite is their Sweet and Sour Pork.” Just thinking of that delectable sweet and sour taste made her mouth water uncontrollably.

”I think their Boiled meat slices are pretty good, and this enoki mushroom appetizer too,” Charles Northwood remarked, picking up the menu. He flipped through it page by page, then placed their order.

”Boiled meat slices are delicious, but they’re too spicy for me,” Nia Mitchell said, playfully sticking out her tongue. That dish, Boiled meat slices, was the restaurant’s specialty; nearly everyone who came ordered it. Unfortunately, she didn’t really care for spicy food.

”I’ll get you two glasses of water then.” Charles Northwood knew she actually wanted to try it. She really was a handful sometimes, he thought with amusement.

”Definitely! Hurry and order. Have you decided yet? It’s so busy today, the Chef will probably take a while.”

”Done.”

After Charles Northwood finished ordering and handed the menu to the Waiter, he personally went to get two glasses of water.

The two glasses of water Nia Mitchell had asked for weren’t for drinking; they were for rinsing the Boiled meat slices later.
