Chapter 32: Chapter 32: Maxwell Peary Behaves Like a Ruffian

Nia Mitchell: ...!!!

Uncle Peary, don’t be like that... You’re changing way too fast...

Nia Mitchell hadn’t expected Maxwell Peary to be serious. He wasn’t joking; he actually walked right over, bent down, picked up a bag of potato chips, and opened it.

”Here you go.”

Maxwell Peary offered the potato chips to Nia Mitchell. She absentmindedly took one and tossed it into her mouth.

”Is it good?”

Maxwell Peary leaned in to look at her, her small mouth munching away, even contentedly licking her fingers.

”Delicious! Uncle Peary, you should have some too.”

Nia Mitchell reached out and held a chip to Maxwell Peary’s lips, her face full of expectation.

Maxwell Peary’s eyebrows knitted subtly. His nose caught the strange smell of the Junk Food. It felt as if with just a shallow breath, fragments of ”that thing” could get into his mouth.

”It’s really good, I’m not tricking you.”

Nia Mitchell blinked her large eyes and kept trying to push the chip into his mouth, but he kept his eyes firmly shut.

Nia Mitchell glared. ”Open your mouth!”

Maxwell Peary raised an eyebrow and cooperatively opened his mouth.

Yes! He still obediently opened his mouth! And he even thought *I* was embarrassing. Isn’t he just the same? Nia Mitchell inwardly rejoiced.

However, her triumph didn’t last long. Her face instantly turned beet red, and she thumped Maxwell Peary’s chest with her clean left hand.

”Let go...”

It turned out that although Maxwell Peary had eaten the potato chip, he had also lightly bitten Nia Mitchell’s finger. With his teeth gently clamped down, Nia couldn’t pull her right hand back no matter how she tried.

Maxwell Peary chuckled lightly and held her right hand.

”Admit you were wrong?”

Nia Mitchell was speechless.

”Hmm? Still not admitting your mistake?”

With that, Maxwell Peary pretended he was about to put her hand in his mouth again. Startled, Nia Mitchell quickly reached out to stop him.

”I was wrong, I was wrong... Uncle Peary, I was wrong.”

She was on the verge of tears. Uncle Peary is such a bully!

”What did you do wrong?”

Nia Mitchell looked up at the ceiling, speechless. What kind of cliché plot is this?

”I shouldn’t have opened the potato chips before paying. I shouldn’t have tried to stuff the chip into your mouth.”

Hmph!

Nia Mitchell’s eyes darted around. She suddenly yanked her hand free. Once liberated, she quickly retreated two steps.

”But Uncle Peary, *you* were the one who opened this bag of potato chips, and *you* wanted me to try them! I thought they were delicious, so what’s wrong with sharing them with you, Uncle Peary?”

Nia Mitchell gestured defiantly, and after finishing her speech, she turned tail and fled.

Maxwell Peary choked. He stood there, dumbfounded, for a long moment before recovering. Damn it, this little Rabina Mitchell must want to be skinned!

No one in this world had ever dared to feign compliance while secretly defying him, especially not to his face!

Fine. Let’s hope you can bear the consequences.

”Nia Mitchell, if you’re not back here by the time I count to three, you’ll...”

Maxwell Peary’s face darkened as he rubbed his forehead. He hadn’t even finished his threat before she had vanished completely from sight.

She runs quite fast...

He turned to look at the shopping cart, then helplessly walked over and pushed it along. Glancing at the brightly colored bags of potato chips, he sighed and ended up tossing several more into the cart.

Nia Mitchell ran all the way to the household products section before finally stopping.

Will Uncle Peary be angry? Nia Mitchell wondered. Then she suddenly remembered how he had spanked her little bottom before.

I’m doomed...

Nia Mitchell stood there, full of remorse. Uncle Peary is here to buy daily necessities. If I behave well, maybe Uncle Peary won’t be angry anymore.

That makes sense!

Nia Mitchell turned and began to seriously examine the shelves.

Ooh, this towel is so cute. It’s pink, and there’s a blue one too.

Should I buy two?

Ten minutes later, Maxwell Peary finally found Nia Mitchell, her arms piled high with things.

”Uncle Peary, look! Isn’t this cute?”

Nia Mitchell quickly placed all the items she was holding into the shopping cart. She then freed her hands to show him two toothbrushes—one pink and one blue, both of the same design.

The veins on the back of Maxwell Peary’s hand bulged. He fought back the urge to abandon the shopping cart and managed to force a strained smile.

”Don’t tell me the blue one is mine.”
