Flash Marriage: Pampered by Mr.Bigshot

Chapter 16: Chapter 16: Mrs. Pei, don’t disappoint me on our wedding night

”Mrs. Peary?!” Holy crap! Hendry Hampton was in disbelief. Didn’t Nia Mitchell call him Uncle Peary? ”Mrs... Mrs... Mrs. Peary...” Hendry Hampton struggled to utter those three words. It was hard for him to accept that someone like Young Master Peary was actually married.

However, there was one person at the scene who found this identity even harder to accept than he did.

Nia Mitchell stood there dumbstruck, her right hand held by Maxwell Peary and her left arm gripped by Hendry Hampton. Then... she just froze.

”Uncle... Uncle Peary...” Finding her voice at last, she stood beside him, looking up at his profile. She was Mrs. Peary? Oh, right, they had registered their marriage.

”Mrs. Peary, I’m begging you. I have nothing left. Please, will you let me go?” Saying this, Hendry Hampton collapsed to the ground, his eyes lifeless. In a single night, he had lost everything.

Nia Mitchell clenched her fists. The man she had once liked was kneeling so humbly before her. It should have been a very satisfying scene, yet it made her feel ashamed and embarrassed.

She didn’t remember how she left the Police Station, nor did she know what Hendry Hampton’s final outcome was. By the time she came to her senses, she was already at the Royal Bay Villa.

”Uncle Peary.” Touching the gauze on her neck, she sat up primly.

”What is it?” Maxwell Peary poured a glass of water and placed it on the coffee table. Seeing Nia Mitchell suddenly so reserved, he felt an inexplicable discomfort in his heart.

”You’re so busy. Did I delay your work again?” He had rushed back to the Company earlier, and his secretary had even fired *him*! He must be very busy.

”It’s fine.” He then sat down beside her and put his arm around her waist. Feeling Nia Mitchell stiffen, he teasingly lifted her chin. ”You need to get used to my touch. We are husband and wife.” As he spoke, Maxwell Peary’s hand, which was around her waist, gave her soft flesh a pinch. Nia Mitchell jumped.

”Uncle... Uncle Peary!” Nia Mitchell shot up, her face completely red.

”Hmm?” His low, husky voice caressed her ear. Maxwell Peary shifted his posture as he looked at her. ”Tonight is our wedding night. You’re not expecting us to just chat under the covers, are you?”

Erm... Nia Mitchell bit her lip. She hadn’t thought about tonight at all. What was she going to do?

”What? You really thought that?”

”N-no... That’s not it.” Nia Mitchell instinctively denied, afraid of making him unhappy.

”That’s good. I’m very much looking forward to your performance tonight.” A wicked smile touched Maxwell Peary’s lips. He glanced at his watch; it was getting late. ”I have to go back to the Company first. There’s another meeting later. After it’s over, I’ll come back to pick you up, and then we’ll go to the Train Station together to pick up our dad.”

With that, Maxwell Peary stood up and straightened his clothes.

”I can take a taxi to the Train Station. You don’t need to detour back to pick me up. That way, you can save a lot of time,” Nia Mitchell said as she walked him to the door.

”Woman, don’t refuse me.” With that, Maxwell Peary put on his suit jacket and strode out.

Watching the sleek, silver-grey Maybach speed away, Nia Mitchell finally let out a long sigh. I’m doomed, doomed! How am I going to get through tonight?

Wait! I have an idea!

Why don’t I also stay at a hotel tonight? I can say it’s to accompany Dad. I believe Maxwell Peary wouldn’t refuse.

No, no, that won’t work. Or... what if I say I’m on my period?

That’s a good idea! He’ll have no way to deal with that then.

AAHHH~~ I’m truly a genius! How could I think of such a good excuse?
