Chapter 26: Chapter 26 Uncle Peary is a Violent Man

Strangely, those two words pleased him.

”Hmph! Let’s see how you perform tonight.”

After saying this, Maxwell Peary gave her an ambiguous smile, then took her hand as they got into the car to go home.

「Royal Bay Villa, Capital Town」

Nia Mitchell rushed ahead of Maxwell Peary into the house, opened the shoe cabinet, and took out a pair of cute pink fluffy slippers.

”Uncle Peary, you better start making the noodles quickly, or my stomach won’t be able to handle the hunger.”

As Nia Mitchell said this, she kicked off her canvas shoes. PHEW! So comfortable.

Maxwell Peary followed behind her and rubbed his temples. ”Put your shoes away properly.”

Uh... Nia Mitchell turned around and looked at Maxwell Peary with a pitiful expression. Uncle is so fierce.

She obediently picked up the canvas shoes that were strewn far apart and walked over to place them in the shoe cabinet near him.

”So annoying!”

HMPH!

Nia Mitchell pouted, shot Maxwell Peary a look, then sat down firmly on the sofa by the entrance and refused to budge.

To think I was just concerned about his stomach, hmph! And he turns around and scolds me so fiercely just because I didn’t put away my shoes properly? Does he need to be so serious? Do I owe him money? PFFT! I’m just going to sit here and not move. Let’s see what he does then.

Maxwell Peary felt his headache worsen. Is this Rabina giving me the cold shoulder now?

He furrowed his brows, sat down next to Nia Mitchell, and took out a pair of men’s slippers from the shoe cabinet.

”Are you angry?”

Maxwell Peary glanced at the pouting Nia Mitchell. Hmm, she looks quite cute when she’s angry.

”Hmph! No!”

Glancing at Maxwell Peary, Nia Mitchell continued to sit there, pouting.

Maxwell Peary shook his head with a smile and bent down to change his shoes.

”Come on, niece, let’s go cook.”

Suddenly, Maxwell Peary bent down and scooped Nia Mitchell up into his arms. Nia Mitchell shrieked.

”AH! Maxwell Peary!”

Nia Mitchell, startled, immediately threw her arms around Maxwell Peary’s neck. What is he doing all of a sudden?

”Put me down!”

Nia Mitchell flailed her legs. She *so* didn’t want to be held by Maxwell Peary!

”Stop squirming!” Maxwell Peary reached out and smacked Nia Mitchell’s bottom.

”Mmh...”

Nia Mitchell froze, her mouth clamped shut. How could he hit her... hit her butt?

”Let’s see if you behave. If you don’t listen next time, I’ll hit you again.”

Maxwell Peary put Nia Mitchell down on the sofa. Seeing the blush creep up her indignant little face, he couldn’t help but chuckle.

Nia Mitchell clutched her bottom. She’d grown so big, and no one had ever spanked her butt. This man was truly...

”You’re awful!”

After holding it in for a long moment, Nia Mitchell finally blurted out, staring at Maxwell Peary, her head slightly bowed and her lips pursed.

”Many people say that.”

Maxwell Peary wasn’t angry at all; on the contrary, he found himself in the mood to banter with her.

From his high position, he had heard all sorts of words: fawning flattery, furious curses, dark slander, sudden contempt, and more. His ears would automatically filter them out. But today... every word Nia Mitchell said, he took to heart.

”You... you’re shameless!”

Nia Mitchell covered her face, refusing to look at him. So annoying, so annoying! Spanking someone’s butt like this... could it become addictive? Hmm, if he hits me again, what should I do? How come I hadn’t realized before that he was a violent man?

”If you don’t want another spanking, come cook with me.”

Maxwell Peary took off his suit jacket, roughly loosened his tie, a smile playing in his eyes.

”Okay.”

Nia Mitchell silently rolled her eyes. Though she agreed readily, she remained seated on the sofa. Seeing Maxwell Peary still standing there, staring at her, she had no choice but to stand up, still clutching her bottom.

”I don’t even know how to cook. Why on earth do you insist I go to the kitchen?”
