Global Survival: I Got the D-Rank Personnel Simulator

One-Sided Contract

“Was that your ability?”

Eura watched as the woman’s corpse turned into a human hide, and a swarm of bright red butterflies flew out from within.

“It’s part of my ability.”

Lin Ye planned to first check out the situation here before taking Eura to leave.

“Then would you be willing to form a contract with me?”

Eura asked nervously.

“If it’s just a one-sided contract, I don’t mind.”

As a Master of Ritual Studies, Lin Ye could roughly guess what the so-called contract was. He could do something similar too, and even divide it into various different types.

“What’s a one-sided contract?”

Eura had never heard of such a concept before.“It means I give you an ability, and everything you have belongs to me.”

With Lin Ye’s current technical skill, he could even create an evolution system similar to a game system.

However, once someone accepted Lin Ye’s spiritual parasitism, their entire being would fall under his control. It wasn’t that he wanted it to be this way, but that was the reality of the situation.

“What will you do to me?”

Eura hadn’t expected such a harsh contract.

“Nothing much. At most, after you die, if you’re worth enough, I’ll retrieve your corpse.”

To Lin Ye, this was also a form of research.

But by the time Eura died, he’d likely have advanced to a very high tier, and her corpse would hold almost no value.

“Then I agree.”

Eura looked at Lin Ye with a very serious expression.

“Alright.”

Lin Ye climbed up from the floor and placed one of his claws on Eura’s white hair.

About a minute later, Lin Ye moved his right claw away.

“…Is it over? Huh? Is this your ability?”

Eura stared at the purple system panel in front of her. The left side of the panel recorded her various stats, while the right side displayed her advancement paths and advancement system.

“Yeah. With each advancement, depending on the different advancement materials, you can unlock abilities from different systems. As long as you put together the right combination, you can possess the abilities of an entire system, and those abilities can even synergize with each other.”

In truth, it was just the parasitic template wrapped in a different system skin.

But Lin Ye had introduced that purple energy. If Eura could advance to the tenth tier, she could even unlock a Rule Crystal.

That Rule Crystal was something Lin Ye had crafted on the spot using Rule Fragments.

“Isn’t this too powerful? Do all contractors who form contracts with phantom beasts get such strong abilities?”

Eura couldn’t help but exclaim as she read the descriptions of the system’s abilities.

“No. I’m actually not an ordinary phantom beast. I’m an injured phantom beast deity, which is why I can form this kind of one-sided contract. You were lucky to stumble upon me.”

Lin Ye was now a dinosaur capable of using purple energy, no different from a phantom beast. A phantom beast plus a deity meant a phantom beast deity. He wasn’t lying.

“What? You’re actually the God of Phantom Beasts?!”

Eura looked at Lin Ye in disbelief. This was completely different from the God of Phantom Beasts she had imagined.

“No, I’m a phantom beast deity, not the God of Phantom Beasts.”

Lin Ye didn’t want to become some strange thing like that.

“…I feel like you’re tricking me.”

Eura looked at Lin Ye with suspicion.

“I almost never lie.”

Lin Ye preferred to convince others with the truth.

“Then what do we do now? I don’t have any advancement materials. Even if the system is amazing, I can’t escape.”

This system ability was far stronger than anything Eura had ever heard of, but right now, she needed the ability to escape from this place.

“I already promised I’d take you out of here. Don’t worry about that.”

Lin Ye didn’t think this place could trap him. Even those two idiots had managed to break in.

“But you’re badly injured right now. There are many guards outside who are stronger than that woman…”

Eura looked at Lin Ye with some concern.

“That’s my problem to worry about. When do you want to leave?”

Lin Ye lay back down on the ground. The cool floor felt very comfortable, and he was starting to get sleepy again.

“I need to leave here within half a month. The sooner, the better.”

Eura cast a worried glance at the human hide. A guard had died here, and she was afraid that this phantom beast deity would be discovered by those people.

“Then let’s go now. I thought you’d need to prepare, like saying goodbye to a friend or packing some things.”

Before Lin Ye had even finished speaking, a parasitic worm silently gnawed through the room’s floor and opened its mouth toward them.

“Huh? That fast?!”

Eura was completely stunned.

“Don’t just stand there. Even though I set up a disguise, it’ll only buy us a few minutes at most. We have to leave this place before anyone discovers us.”

Lin Ye pulled Eura and jumped into the parasitic worm’s mouth.

The parasitic worm closed its mouth and quickly left the area through the tunnel.

“Is there anywhere you want to go? I can take you there.”

Lin Ye lay down in the worm’s soft esophagus. It was a mode of transportation with a very comfortable riding experience.

“No. My hometown was already destroyed by those people. I don’t know where to go either.”

Eura lay down beside Lin Ye, a confused expression on her face.

“Then I’ll take you to advance. I can only stay in this area for a while. You need to have the ability to protect yourself.”

To be precise, Lin Ye could only stay here for a few hours.

“Are you leaving?”

Eura asked nervously.

“Yeah. I’m a phantom beast deity after all. I still have many things to deal with. Do you have any ideas about advancement materials?”

Lin Ye wasn’t very familiar with this world and didn’t know where would be easier to find suitable advancement materials.

“I’ve heard there’s a large secret realm to the south. There are plenty of rare creatures inside, and there are even phantom beasts dwelling in the depths of the secret realm.”

Eura’s attention had been diverted by the advancement system. She was really looking forward to unlocking the abilities on the system panel.

“Then let’s go south.”

Lin Ye could guess what a secret realm was. It was probably just another name for an Alien Space.

“They might send people to take me back… Aren’t you going to ask me why I ran away?”

Eura moved a little closer to Lin Ye.

“I’m a phantom beast deity. I don’t care about trivial matters like that. You helped me once, so I’ll help you once in return. That’s all there is to it.”

Of course, if the people who saved Lin Ye had been a band of thugs slaughtering innocent passersby, Lin Ye would have likely turned them into food for his parasitic organisms.

“…I hope you won’t regret this.”

Eura leaned against Lin Ye and closed her eyes.

“Don’t fall asleep just yet. We’ve already arrived at that secret realm you mentioned.”

The parasitic worm drilled out of the ground and opened its mouth.

“Huh? That’s impossible! I heard that secret realm is in a place very far away. We’re already here?”

Eura said with an incredulous tone.

“Oh, then it must be a different secret realm. But since we’re here anyway, do you want to go inside and collect some advancement materials? This secret realm looks like it has a pretty high tier.”

Lin Ye wanted to go into the secret realm to collect some food. He was starting to get a little hungry.
