Global Survival: I Got the D-Rank Personnel Simulator

Stitched Being

“In our conversation just now, how many of your words were true?”

Lin Ye asked with some curiosity.

“Who knows? Maybe all of it was true, maybe all of it was false, maybe it was half-truths and half-lies.”

Singularity put away her smile and answered with a blank expression.

“You know what? I rarely get deceived, but that doesn’t mean I’ve never been tricked. When I was very young, my mother taught me one lesson: never take what others say at face value.

People’s hearts are hard to fathom, and worldly affairs are hard to judge. Back then, I thought about how to handle things I couldn’t be certain of.

In the end, I reached a conclusion: as long as you stop caring about those things, that’s enough.

I have my own bottom line and code of conduct. I only do what I want to do. Everything else has nothing to do with me. No one can stop me from achieving my set goals.”

Lin Ye stared blankly at the sky, and at a certain moment, he seemed to completely ignore Singularity and those pseudo-humans, only looking at the hole in the sky.The entire city had been overrun by Mutants. All the Mutants simultaneously began praying to some existence. They emitted very similar mental fluctuations, which converged to form a mental resonance.

The continuously resonating mental energy began following the set program to control the inferior spiritual energy in the environment, using the Mutants as a foundation to construct twisted flesh altars one after another.

At the top of each altar, a strangely shaped mutation organ had been alienated. After taking shape, these mutation organs began to stitch and combine, finally forming a complete individual.

Sacrificial Offering — group version.

Even in this environment, Sacrificial Offering could produce stable mutation organs. The giant stitched being extended a tendril toward Lin Ye. Lin Ye stepped onto the tendril, passed through layers of opening fleshy structures, and entered the interior of the stitched being.

One after another, fleshy tendrils connected to the alienated limbs on his back, turning the entire stitched being into a part of him.

Back when he was creating the Alienated Body, Lin Ye had already considered this step.

“This is truly astonishing. I had no idea you were planning to do something like this. But what’s the point? The hole up there isn’t something brute force can solve. You’ve ruined the organization’s plan, and with just you alone, you can’t possibly deal with that hole.”

Singularity appeared on the shoulder of the giant stitched being, seemingly completely unconcerned about the stitched being Lin Ye had created.

“I’ve always handled things like this alone.”

Lin Ye controlled the stitched being to unfold three pairs of long, narrow flesh wings, then spread them to fly toward the hole located beyond the planet.

“You’re not really planning to destroy that hole with violence, are you?”

Singularity had a spacesuit appear on her body, but her voice could still reach Lin Ye’s ears.

“I know very well that violence can’t solve all problems, but the vast majority of problems can be solved with violence.”

Lin Ye wasn’t blindly worshipful of violence, but he wouldn’t ignore its absoluteness either.

“Then go ahead. You’d better help me widen that hole a bit.”

Singularity let out a light laugh.

“You deliberately mentioned widening it, trying to lure me into thinking in that direction. That means the hole doesn’t have a concept of widening or shrinking. Perhaps it’s not a hole at all, but something that looks like a hole.”

Lin Ye flapped his flesh wings and accelerated his flight speed.

“If you want to know what that thing is, I can tell you directly.”

Singularity sat leisurely on the stitched being’s shoulder, seemingly unaffected by the wind or gravity.

“I don’t know what that thing is, but I know it’s definitely not a passageway. Don’t bother trying to trick me into going in there.”

Lin Ye constantly adjusted the stitched being’s body structure. After all, this thing was an assembled individual formed from inferior spiritual energy. If he didn’t correct it in time, it could fall apart at any moment.

“…You’re right. I really can’t tell you what that is. Humans can’t imagine things they haven’t seen for themselves—that’s the limitation of humanity.”

Singularity turned her head to look at the stitched being’s core, as if she were staring at Lin Ye through the flesh and blood.

“So that’s why you gave yourself a name like that?”

Lin Ye also lifted his head to look at Singularity. He hadn’t found anything wrong with the name at first; she was a researcher, and using a code name like that seemed perfectly reasonable.

“…It’s the name of a plan.”

Singularity paused before speaking.

“Is that honesty or arrogance?”

That transparent grid didn’t stop the stitched being from rising. Lin Ye looked up at the massive hole, several hundred meters in diameter, above him. The distant Glowing Spheres flashed with dazzling white light.

“What if I gave it that name just to deceive you too?”

Singularity also looked up at the hole above. She didn’t believe Lin Ye could actually do anything to it.

“Then I’ll just let myself be deceived by you one more time.”

Lin Ye unsealed the Abyssal Eye and began attempting to connect the Abyss with the hole, making it fall into the Abyss.

Even using the Abyssal Eye to observe the hole in front of him, Lin Ye couldn’t see through its true nature.

The Abyss quickly connected with the hole, but the hole didn’t fall into the Abyss. Instead, it stopped at the Abyss’s entrance, as if something were pulling it back, preventing it from sinking.

Seeing this, Lin Ye directly used Red Flash to move above the hole, then gathered the spiritual energy within him and used a Special Ability downward: Deep Sea Shadow.

The giant stitched being instantly disintegrated. Those flesh and organs reassembled in an even more violent way, unleashing an extremely dangerous fluctuation of spiritual energy.

Lin Ye didn’t take the opportunity to flee this area. At this distance, unless he could teleport elsewhere, fleeing or not fleeing made little difference.

Besides, using a Special Ability required him to unleash his full strength in a single strike. If he tried to run before launching the attack, he simply couldn’t execute this Special Ability.

This was a Special Ability with no limit on the number of uses. Lin Ye had considered its usage before and had concluded back then that he could only use it once per simulation.

Lin Ye stood on the reassembled stitched being. This reassembly was guided by the Special Ability. It was the first time he had seen such a dangerous biological bomb.

“Even if you can detonate this bomb, you can’t harm the hole below.”

Singularity appeared beside Lin Ye. She hadn’t expected him to create something so terrifying.

“I’m not trying to blow it up. I’m trying to break its balance, to make it fall into the Abyss. If it can maintain its balance under an explosion of this magnitude, then you win this round.”

Lin Ye was already prepared to start the next simulation after failing.
