Global Survival: I Got the D-Rank Personnel Simulator

Then there was that newly appeared Unstable Zone Exploration Chest.

Opening the chest revealed a colorful crystal inside.

[Unstable Crystal]

[This is a crystal that can exhibit different properties in different regions]

[Note: It’s best not to use it to make spiritual energy items]

”...Then what can I use it for?”

Lin Ye put away the crystal. This was the first time he’d seen this kind of material. He planned to study the transformation method of this crystal’s properties when he had time.

After that, Lin Ye took out the black gem Ephesus had given him.

[Unknown Substance]

[This is an unknown substance not recorded in the system][Note: Perhaps you can keep it in the shelter]

”...Alright.”

Lin Ye tossed the black gem to Little Black, who took it to the basement.

Finally, there was the Unstable Zone Exploration Permission. Lin Ye checked the permission info in the system interface. Same as last time, his shelter’s tier wasn’t high enough, so he still couldn’t use this permission yet.

After dealing with the loot, Lin Ye began tending to the plants and animals in the shelter. Using his Deep-Sea Creature Cooking knowledge, he prepared a hearty late-night meal for himself and the little shark.

After preparing the late-night meal, Lin Ye opened the Group Chat and the Music Box, and started eating.

(465799/1000000)

”Another day has come. Will there be a War Front activity tonight?”

”Hard to say. There aren’t any nighttime activities anymore.”

”Want to bet? Someone set up a gambling table in the Game Room.”

”Heh, who still dares to gamble in the Game Room these days? Last time, an older guy lost even his mutated organs from gambling.”

”Sigh, it’s okay to play in the Game Room for fun, but once you get the idea of making a profit there, you’re basically not far from going broke.”

”Tell us your story.”

”Stop changing the subject. Should I prepare for the War Front activity or not?”

”I still hope it’s the War Front activity. A new activity would be a real pain.”

”True that.”

”I can already use the high-tier spiritual energy items Brother Lin made skillfully. I feel ridiculously strong right now.”

”You’re seriously asking for it.”

”Be careful when you leave the shelter. Don’t let someone drag you into an alley and kill you.”

”Someone dares to act outside?”

”Not yet, but it’s hard to say in the future.”

”When I go out, I usually keep a safe distance from others. Last time I ran into Brother Lin at the library, that was really...”

”Ah, I ran into Brother Lin once on the bus too. That bus became way more well-behaved.”

”I feel like Brother Lin isn’t even a spiritual energy user anymore.”

”Really? That fast?”

”Looking to buy a high-tier spiritual energy item, preferably made by Brother Lin.”

”Dream on? Unless you can pull out several items of the same tier, no one will trade a spiritual energy item made by Brother Lin.”

”Sigh, I hope tonight’s activity is safe.”

...

Lin Ye finished his late-night meal, closed the Group Chat and the Music Box, lay down on the bed, and closed his eyes.

The next morning, Lin Ye pushed the little shark and the Scapegoat off his body and got up from the bed.

He first went to the Rule Mining Area to mine for an hour. After eating a simple breakfast, he lay down on the bed and started his daily simulation.

[Simulated D-Class Personnel: Keller]

[Acquired Special Ability: Deep Sea Shadow]

[Deep Sea Shadow]

[You can conceal your form and unleash a full-force strike against your enemy]

[Note: I came, I saw, I ambushed]

[Remaining Simulation Attempts: 10]

Lin Ye opened his eyes. This time, it was the familiar prison transport vehicle start again, but this time he had a total of seven D-Class teammates. The vehicle was a bit cramped. Outside the window, the sky was dim, probably around late afternoon heading into evening.

Keller was a white male around thirty years old. His physical fitness was quite good—the best Lin Ye had encountered in simulations among D-Class personnel.

Ahead of the vehicle was still a team of overseers. The Squad Leader was a white old man with a full head of silver hair.

The prison transport vehicle drove for another five minutes before slowing down, finally stopping outside a residential complex.

The area around the residential complex had been cordoned off with a warning line. Armed police officers were guarding the outside, and the entire zone had been cleared.

The police officers on alert nearby were all in a state of panic, as if they had seen something terrifying.

The interior of the residential complex looked perfectly normal. There were over twenty apartment buildings inside. Some rooms had their lights on, and faint human silhouettes could even be seen through the windows.

Like other cities controlled by the organization, there was almost no spiritual energy here either.

The overseers put helmets on all the D-Class personnel, then ordered them to enter the residential complex together.

Lin Ye looked back and noticed several more prison transport vehicles parked not far away, each also carrying a team of overseers and a full vehicle of D-Class personnel.

The surrounding D-Class people all felt a certain uneasy atmosphere, but they had no choice, because the overseers were right behind them, guns pointed at their backs.

Eight D-Class personnel lined up to enter the residential complex. Just as they passed through the main gate, the D-Class member standing in front of Lin Ye stopped in his tracks.

Lin Ye looked up. He saw that the entire residential complex was littered with red corpse fragments of all sizes. Those fragments were scattered in every corner of the complex, with more than half of them fixed in mid-air by some unknown force.

The D-Class members behind also entered the complex. Everyone stopped at the entrance, no one wanting to go deeper into such a place.

”Standing at the entrance isn’t safe either. You can choose to keep moving forward, or walk out of the complex and get shot by the overseers outside.”

The Squad Leader’s voice came through the earpiece, but still, no D-Class personnel moved forward.

Lin Ye was observing the terrain of this residential complex. In every simulation, he tried not to consume a simulation attempt during the mission.

Just as Lin Ye was surveying the terrain, a bloated D-Class member was shoved forward. The other D-Class members glared at him with vicious eyes.

That D-Class member had no choice but to go ahead and scout the path. He skirted around the nearby corpse fragments while making sure he didn’t end up directly under the ones in the sky.

Soon, that D-Class member successfully approached an apartment building. He walked toward the entrance of the first unit. The entrance looked perfectly normal, with the door wide open. Perhaps sensing the footsteps of the D-Class member, the corridor lit up with the soft glow of motion-sensor lights.

The D-Class member reached the entrance. Suddenly, the entire apartment building shuddered violently. The entrance to the first unit transformed into something like a mouth and swallowed that D-Class member whole.

In an instant, the apartment building returned to normal. But that D-Class member had vanished, and the door to the first unit entrance had become sealed shut.
