A '70s Flash Marriage: Raising Cubs, Making Millions

Chapter 112: Chapter 112: Lu Lin and Lu Chen Are Kidnapped

Lu Chen couldn’t sit still, so he ran outside the state-run restaurant first, and Lu Lin followed him out. Fu Xiaoxiao glanced at them occasionally, seeing them playing at the door, she didn’t mind.

After Fu Xiaoxiao was full, she put down her chopsticks. Seeing that they had all finished eating, Lu Feng started gathering up the dishes.

When Lu Feng finished eating, Chen Xiu suggested taking a stroll nearby. Fu Xiaoxiao agreed with a smile. The two walked out of the restaurant intending to call the two children, but they were nowhere to be seen at the door.

”Xiao Lin, Xiao Chen?” Fu Xiaoxiao called out loudly.

”Xiao Lin, Xiao Chen, where are you? Come out quickly.” Chen Xiu also helped call out.

But despite their calls, there was no response.

”What’s wrong?” Lu Feng stepped out of the restaurant, hearing the anxious tone of Fu Xiaoxiao and Chen Xiu, his heart sank.

”Xiao Lin and Xiao Chen are missing.” Fu Xiaoxiao anxiously grabbed Lu Feng’s hand, but couldn’t see any trace of the two children anywhere.

”Don’t worry, let’s split up and search.” Lu Feng frowned and immediately began searching around, with the three of them going in different directions to look.

Fu Xiaoxiao knew Lu Chen liked to count ants, so she followed the trail of ants on the ground and found them in the alley next door. In the narrow alley, a shoe lay quietly. ℴ

Fu Xiaoxiao’s face changed dramatically, and she immediately ran over to see the shoe embroidered with the character ”Chen,” which was Lu Chen’s shoe.

Examining the area, she saw several cigarette butts of a cheap brand not far away, and her complexion changed.

The shoe discarded in struggle, the scattered cigarette butts, made Fu Xiaoxiao have a sense of foreboding.

”Not good.”

Fu Xiaoxiao ran out of the alley, coincidentally bumping into the searching Lu Feng.

”Lu Feng, something happened.” Fu Xiaoxiao grabbed Lu Feng’s hand and led him to the alley they had just been in.

Lu Feng’s face sank as he examined the traces around the area before nodding seriously toward Fu Xiaoxiao. ”They’ve been kidnapped, four men involved; two strong men, two skinny ones, and two different paths, they split up.”

”They’re going to move the children, they must have a mode of transport. There are no trains here, only buses.” Lu Feng said to Fu Xiaoxiao sternly. ”I’ll find someone to help; you stay here with Chen Xiu and don’t run around.”

”No, I’m going with you!” Fu Xiaoxiao asserted seriously.

Seeing the anger and determination in Fu Xiaoxiao’s eyes, Lu Feng nodded.

The two walked out of the alley together, and Chen Xiu was already waiting for them at the restaurant entrance. Seeing them return, she immediately approached. ”What do we do? We can’t find them. Could anything have happened to the kids?”

”Sis-in-law, can you wait for us in the car? We need to find people to help locate the children.” Lu Feng addressed Chen Xiu directly.

”Alright, alright, I’ll wait for you in the car.” Seeing Lu Feng’s expression, Chen Xiu realized something had happened to the children. She knew she couldn’t hold them back and should avoid causing trouble, so she returned to the car.

Lu Feng immediately took Fu Xiaoxiao to the public security bureau, showed his officer’s credential, and requested assistance.

”Mr. Lu, let us know whatever you need.” Seeing Lu Feng’s credentials, the public security officers immediately set aside their work to fully cooperate.

”I need several teams. My two children might have been kidnapped by traffickers, and they intend to leave the city. The only means is by vehicle, so I hope you can help stop all outbound vehicles.” Lu Feng said seriously.

”You all heard! Hurry up, get moving!” The officers, upon hearing that Mr. Lu’s children might have been abducted, realized the seriousness. If the kidnappings really happened under their jurisdiction and they couldn’t retrieve the children, how would they face the future? The bureau chief slammed the table, ordering everyone to stop the vehicles.

It was imperative to find the children.

Lu Feng also borrowed a phone to report the situation to Liu Hongjun, who rose from his seat upon hearing the children were missing. ”Stay where you are, we’re coming right away.”

Fu Xiaoxiao felt empowered seeing Lu Feng quickly rallying people to assist in the search.

Following Lu Feng to the bus station, the officers had already begun inspecting vehicles. Fu Xiaoxiao saw them and searched for higher ground, arriving at the watchtower, taking in the whole station.

All the officers were checking, but they couldn’t find the children. The two children were old enough; it was impossible for them to cooperate with the traffickers unless...

They had been knocked out or drugged.

Fu Xiaoxiao looked at the crowd waiting inside the station. Everyone orderly preparing to board when suddenly a couple caught Fu Xiaoxiao’s attention.

They were with a ’girl’ who clearly did not look happy, her body was radiating reluctance.

And unbeknownst to what the couple said, the ’girl’ suddenly started to listen obediently.

Just like a child sulking being coaxed with candy by a parent, the ’girl’ was being led out of the station by them.

”Lu Feng.” Fu Xiaoxiao deliberately shouted loudly.

The ’girl’ appeared to hear Fu Xiaoxiao’s call, wanting to turn around, but the couple tugged at her, causing her to stumble and lose a shoe, while the mother cursed, wanting to pick it up. Seeing a few officers pass by, the mother abandoned the shoe and, hurriedly, led the ’girl’ outside.

Lu Feng, hearing Fu Xiaoxiao’s shout, immediately joined her. ”What’s up?”

”Look at that couple and the child.” Fu Xiaoxiao pointed at the couple and ’girl’ heading out of the station, detailing her observation to Lu Feng.

After listening, Lu Feng picked up the girl’s shoe, seeing the character ”Lin” on it, nodded at Fu Xiaoxiao, and immediately pursued them.

Fu Xiaoxiao pursed her lips, realizing Lu Lin might be being threatened, surely using Lu Chen against him, while Lu Chen very likely remained here.

With so many families, how could they find the group and Lu Chen?

Having checked all the vehicles and not finding the children, the officers had no choice but to let them go. Fu Xiaoxiao instructed them to check all children regardless of size, to verify the identities of both parents and child.

Sitting at the station, Fu Xiaoxiao awaited Lu Feng’s return.

Half an hour passed, and Lu Feng indeed returned.

”You guessed right, Xiao Lin and Xiao Chen were separated. I didn’t dare alert them, but noted their current location.” Lu Feng understood from Fu Xiaoxiao’s words.

Lu Lin knew they had found him, but there was no news of Lu Chen; they couldn’t rescue Lu Lin yet.

To prevent any harm to Lu Chen.

”The groups surely will meet up, we can only wait for now,” Fu Xiaoxiao murmured, since rescuing Lu Lin was impossible, waiting for their next move was the only option.

Thinking about how they might move the children, their methods became something to ponder upon now.

”I’m not worried about Xiao Lin; Xiao Chen worries me the most,” Lu Feng regarded Fu Xiaoxiao earnestly.

Lu Lin learned a few tricks from him; Lu Chen, only five, at that age, might be scared out of his wits...

Fu Xiaoxiao pursed her lips. ”Do we have a map of this area?”

”Yes.” An officer came over, taking them to the station office.
