Chapter 1528: Section 1529 Spring Waltz Chapter 1528: Section 1529 Spring Waltz “Spring Waltz and The Deceiver.”

Farina mentioned these two nicknames, Angel searched his memory but couldnʼt recall having heard of them. He pondered and then asked, “So, whatʼs the highlight of this match?”

“Both of them are said to have shown bursts of astonishing potential in previous matches, often garnering the audienceʼs admiration. As for the biggest highlight, it must be Dominico,” Farina explained. “Dominico is ʼSpring Waltzʼ, a Nature Witch.”

Nature Witches are a branch of the Wood Attribute, just like Ocean Mages correspond to the Water System.

Angel curiously asked, “Is he strong?”

Farina shook her head: “Iʼm not sure about that, but Dominico comes from the Extinguished Torch Academy, and his mentor, Rand, is a Wizard who pursues ʼUltimate Aesthetics.ʼ The splendor of battle is also what he seeks. Since Dominico is his disciple, even if the match isnʼt thrilling, it should at least be beautiful. As long as itʼs beautiful, thereʼs surely something worth watching.”

Extinguished Torch Academy.

Hearing the name of this Witcher Organization, Angel immediately understood. The people coming out of this organization often have a lot of drama.

People with a lot of drama shouldnʼt let the match become dull, unless their opponent is strong enough to crush them.

But the Officials wouldnʼt be so foolish. Since they sent “Spring Waltz” to warm up the crowd, the other participant must simply be there to complement Dominico, their strength surely wonʼt be too bad, but definitely not as good as his.

While Angel was thinking this, Farina suddenly said, “Speaking of which, The Deceiver is someone from Barbarian Cave.”

Someone from Barbarian Cave? Angel searched his memory for this nickname, but it seemed that he had never heard of it. When he participated in the Sky Tower match, he and David had also studied the data of the competitors of Sky Tower, and there was no one named “The Deceiver.” Was it a newly rising competitor, or maybe someone who had previously topped the Sky Tower?

“You donʼt know either?” Farina asked in confusion, “They say this person is very mysterious and aloof, wears a mask during matches, and no one has managed to find out their real name. They use a strange ranged weapon, something called a Revolver…”

Angel: “…” This description, the more he listened, the more familiar it seemed?

From Barbarian Cave, mysterious and aloof, only the nickname is known, real name undisclosed so far, fights wearing a mask, the weapon is a Revolver… And if thereʼs also a bird Magical Creature with him, isnʼt this just the Milk Baronʼs persona?!

Angelʼs mind was filled with question marks, was he overthinking it, or was someone really mimicking him?

Imitation wasnʼt a big problem because many Apprentices enjoy copying the behavior of some Wizards, just like Angelʼs first opponent he encountered climbing the Sky Tower: Black Jack.

Black Jack was a thorough imitator, whose model was Sanders.

Imitating him, actually, wasnʼt a big deal. But it wasnʼt the standard Angel that the other party was imitating–it was the Milk Baron persona.

This was a bit strange.

A fleeting persona, why would someone go and imitate it?

“The Deceiver, who might they be?” Angel murmured softly.

Farina said, “Looks like you really donʼt know. This person really lives up to their nickname; even people from Barbarian Cave donʼt know anything about him, quite a tight deception.”

“But no matter how much deception there is, once they get on the Boundless Battle Arena, they will ultimately reveal their true form.”

In the previous matches, The Deceiver had always worn a mask, and others didnʼt know who he was. But now, heading to the Boundless Battle Arena, even if he wore a mask, he could not deceive the eyes of an Official Wizard.

An hour later, Boundless Battle Arena.

The ground was parched yellow earth, and the sky above was a murky gray. Apart from a Light Screen suspended in mid-air, there was nothing around.

Although the Boundless Battle Arena was silent, outside the arena, it was very lively.

The Boundless Battle Arena is like a dome-world, giving competitors an undisturbed experience of competition. Outside the arena, there was an almost 360-degree surround of the spectator area.

Not just the conventional ring-shaped seating, even the top of the dome had inverse positions. Due to special gravity effects, spectators sitting at the top donʼt actually feel like they are hanging upside down.

At this time, the all-around spectator seats were already full.

Because the Boundless Battle Arena was almost never open to Apprentices before. Now, many were seeing the Boundless Battle Arena for the first time, thus most were discussing this novel spectator experience.

Some were also talking about the data of the competitors in this match, and others were pushing snack carts around calling out to sell food to earn Magic Crystals. Various sounds meshed together, forming a nearly deafening noise.

The uproar lasted for quite a while until the lights in the arena suddenly went out.

The sudden darkness brought a moment of silence among the audience. Then, a crisp and beautiful female voice reached everyoneʼs ears.

“Opening the Boundless Battle Arena, countdown of five seconds.”

With the countdown, the dome of the Boundless Battle Arena slowly began to glow. Although it couldnʼt dispel the darkness completely, it made the audience feel a bit more at ease because with so many people present, the darkness would always be unsettling.

Once the Boundless Battle Arena lit up, everyone could clearly see the situation inside.

A barren world.

At this moment, the previous voice sounded again, “The contestant backstage has opened field selection, and right now, card guessing is underway.”

The so-called card guessing was actually a small game that involved placing a card under a specially made device, where two contestants would guess if it was heads or tails. The one who guessed correctly would have the right to choose the field.

“Congratulations to The Deceiver for winning the card guessing game and securing the right to choose the field.”

After a few seconds, the crisp voice echoed again: “Although The Deceiver has good card luck, his luck in field selection is not good. He has drawn ʼVelvet Thistle Plains in Strong Windsʼ.”

Velvet thistle is a pale green pasture grass that can grow up to the height of a person.

From its literal description, the field has two special attributes. One is strong winds, which certainly provide a boost to the Wind System. Second, the Velvet Thistle Plains, indicating the field is full of thistle, which is definitely advantageous for Nature Witches.

And “Spring Waltz” Dominico is exactly a Nature Witch.

Thinking this, one wouldnʼt be surprised that the voice echoing through the arena would suggest that The Deceiverʼs luck in choosing the field was not good, as the field is obviously biased in favor of Dominico.

“Boundless Battle Arena–ʼVelvet Thistle Plains in Strong Windsʼ, preparing.”

As the words finished, an odd scene suddenly appeared in the Boundless Battle Arena; it was as if a Rubikʼs cube had been twisted, turning the entire inside of the dome pitch black. When the light rose again, the field under the dome had completely changed.

The desolate land was gone, transforming into a vast expanse of Velvet Thistle Plains. The whooshing strong winds came, causing the soft velvet thistle to sway in the wind.

However strong the wind was, it still couldnʼt move the light screen floating mid-air.

“Next up, player entrance.”

At this moment, the enormous light screen floating above the Velvet Thistle Plains flickered, displaying a line of text.

“Entering: Spring Waltz.”

As the playerʼs title appeared, a door suddenly appeared in the Boundless Battle Arena, and a tall figure slowly emerged from it.

He was a man donning an extremely extravagant hat with feathers and wearing flamboyant, brightly colored, tight-fitting noble attire.

Many nobles are thick-legged and short, making them look like silly geese in these tight noble costumes.

But the man in front of them was tall and slim, with legs not only slender and aesthetically pleasing but also giving a sense of muscular power. Even in tight clothes, he carried no trace of awkwardness.

The manʼs looks were also handsome, around twenty years old, with a head of beautiful emerald green long hair and eyes as clear and blue as lake water.

So far, the man had made a very good impression on the audience.

However, just as he walked through the door, he gracefully stretched his body and leaned on the doorframe.

He slowly extended his hand and snapped his fingers, producing a vibrant rose at his fingertips.

He held the rose close to his nose and deeply inhaled, his expression intoxicated as if he were smelling the neck of a graceful matron. Although the movement was lazy, it was filled with teasing intent.

The audience upon seeing this moment: “…”

And it didnʼt end there; after burying his face among the flowers, he also slightly lifted his gaze, throwing out a flirtatious glance that contained no hint of femininity.

The reaction in the seats varied: some women screamed, some blushed and covered their faces in embarrassment, and some expressed disdain.

As for the vast majority of men, they were left speechless with faces of incredulity.
