Warlock Apprentice

Chapter 1525: Section 1526 Apparel Chapter 1525: Section 1526 Apparel Angel was about to start lecturing at Ashiliya Academy, like a whirlwind blowing into the tranquil Alchemy Circle.

Just like when Angel refined the Ocean Rhythm, initially there was no stir, but as the wind passed and slight ripples formed, they quickly spread out.

The speed of this spread, as well as the subsequent frenzy to sign up for courses, left some members of the Research and Development Institute unable to hide their surprise.

As the deputy head of Ashiliya Academy, Sherry had never seen such a large-scale rush to enroll in courses before.

Moreover, the rush extended beyond the Alchemy Circle, reaching out even further.

Although the topic of conversation was currently centered on the New Star Competition, Angelʼs name had never disappeared from the public discourse. Many people were curious whether Angel had advanced to the next round or not. Now, with Ashiliya Academy releasing news of Angelʼs lectures, it indirectly confirmed that Angel was back in Sky Mechanical City. This aroused the curiosity, admiration, worship, and even hatred, jealousy, and hostility of many people towards Angel, all wanting to find out more for themselves.

This was one of the reasons behind the rush to sign up for courses.

Because there were too many people rushing to sign up, but the number of spots offered by Angel was the same as the Water Pattern Witch, limited to just fifty. With no other choice, deputy head Sherry had to shamelessly ask Antonio to contact Angel and hope for an increase in the number of spots.

However, Angelʼs response to this was but a question for Sherry: “In terms of Research and Development Institute members holding classes, is fifty considered a lot or a little?”

A quota of fifty students per lecture is not the highest amongst the Research and Development Instituteʼs courses but is definitely not few. It is only slightly less than the classes held by Principal Muse and the Mushroom Witch; however, these two usually donʼt teach about alchemy, so even without restricting the number of attendees, not many people actually come.

“If itʼs not considered a lot, then thereʼs no need to add more,” said Angel, and he even thought about reducing the number of people.

Angel was firm about not increasing the spots, but with too many scrambling to enroll and many with significant ties to Ashiliya Academy, Sherry had no choice but to make some underhanded maneuvers. Though enrollment should have been fair on the surface, deals were being made behind the scenes.

Angel didnʼt care about this. Even though he felt some pressure about teaching, after all, his goal was merely to… earn credits, and not to formally take on disciples, so it didnʼt matter who attended.

The struggle to enroll persisted for two days. Although the fifty spots had now been essentially settled, the commotion continued to resonate within Sky Mechanical City.

However, Angel was no longer concerned with these matters.

Because the semi-finals of the New Star Competition were about to commence.

Knock knock knock–

Crisp knocking sounds came from the balcony windows.

Angel lifted his head from his diligent writing. Without any other movement, two phantom limbs materialized behind him, one pulling open the curtains and the other skillfully pushing open the window.

As the window was pushed open, a tiny shadow zipped inside in a flash.

The shadow carried a faint fragrance and finally settled beside Angelʼs neck, snuggling up with a pitiful rub.

Angel lowered his head to look at the shadow–Toby, covered in dust, was plaintively meowing, seemingly trying to invoke Angelʼs sympathy with its pleas that were sharper than usual.

“You ungrateful little thing, training you is for your own good,” a disgruntled female voice came from the side.

Angel turned back, and there, wearing a bright purple dress, Greya flew in through the open window and landed on the chair opposite Angel.

“This guy could easily manipulate energy to prevent dust from settling on it, yet it deliberately chose not to, just to show you its miserable state in hope of looking pitiful and rejecting training,” Greya pointed at Toby, who put on an innocent face, pretending not to understand.

“I seriously suspect that this behavior is also influenced by Extreme Resentment Thoughts. Therefore, Iʼve decided to increase its training from today onward.”

Toby was originally pretending not to understand the language of bipedal creatures, but after hearing Greyaʼs words, it could no longer hold back. A continuous and undulating calling emanated from its mouth, the tone of protest was self-evident.

However, Greyaʼs mind was set, and Toby could not sway her. It could only look to Angel with a plea for mercy from its young master.

Angel showed an expression of mercy and reluctance, and even smoothed Tobyʼs ruffled feathers, comforting in the face of Tobyʼs hopeful gaze, “This is actually for your own good.”

Tobyʼs call was full of grievance.

Although the meaning conveyed by Angel was the same as Greyaʼs, with one playing the good cop and the other playing the bad cop, in the end, Toby could only accept its fate in a dazed state.

After dealing with Tobyʼs issue, Angel turned to Greya with confusion, “Is there anything else?”

Greya pointed at the clock on the wall, “Donʼt tell me you forgot the time.”

Angel glanced at the hands of the wall clock, pointing to eight oʼclock in the morning, and after a moment of thought, his face showed a sudden realization: “I almost forgot, today is the day the New Star Competitionʼs rematch begins.”

He had accepted the task of being a special judge for the New Star Competition, although he only needed to attend ten matches, and could choose which matches to judge. However, there were two matches he definitely had to attend.

One was todayʼs preliminary round, and the other was the final round when the New Star Competition concludes. He must attend these two. Moreover, with the rumors about whether Angel had advanced circulating outside, his appearance at todayʼs preliminary round would also put an end to these speculations.

Angel put away the handbook on the analysis of the Shapeshifting Technique that was on the table, preparing to freshen up a bit before heading to the Infinite Battle Tower.

With a casual wave of his hand, a water mirror appeared in mid-air.

Angel looked at the reflection in the mirror. Although he had been working hard on the Shapeshifting Technique for many days, his appearance looked neat thanks to the Cleansing Spell.

Although it seemed there was no need for grooming, out of a sense of personal etiquette, Angel still prepared to tidy himself up.

However, Angelʼs idea of grooming was merely a ripple of an Illusion Technique over his body, and the slightly wrinkled gentlemanʼs suit appeared new again under the guise of the illusion.

“All set,” Angel declared with confidence.

Greya, witnessing this scene, was speechless… This kind of grooming was soulless! And using an illusion to cover up was just self-deception!

Greya shook her head with a tsk-tsk: “Iʼve always felt you and your mentor are quite alike, but now I realize that, at least in terms of etiquette, Sanders is much more traditional than you.”

Sanders, at least, would not resort to illusions to keep up appearances in this regard.

Having said that, Greya took out a set of attire.

A dark nobility gentlemanʼs suit, with a pure white undergarment, a discreetly patterned tie, and a series of golden accessories, from the walking stick, chest chain, to the cufflinks… all inclusive.

“Is this… for me?”

Greya nodded, “Yes.”

Angel did not refuse, as he had already seen this set of clothing for himself. Although the craftsmanship and materials were very good, it was not the product of alchemy.

It was only after putting it on that Angel realized the black attire actually subtly revealed a dark green pattern.

Like emerald under the night sky, it created a distant alienation that was only to be admired from afar.

His originally gentle aura, because of this set of clothing, seemed to be veiled over, naturally exuding arrogance and indifference.

Greya watched Angel change into the outfit, his tall figure evoking a trace of nostalgia in her eyes: “Actually, this outfit was originally prepared for Houston, but it ended up never being given.”
